Grace's POV
I still wonder why Sky told me to not include him in the journey. I mean he was lost to , not like we are the only ones and he also lost his map. I actually don't sense any danger in travelling with him.
"So Ares, tell us a little about yourself, I mean we are completely strangers." I said trying to get on a conversation.
"Well.... I am the guy who got lost in here like maybe a month ago and then while roaming the place found that boat and has started to live in it." He replied.
"Any siblings or step siblings?" Sky asked this time.
"Nah, my parents thought I was enough trouble for them but I have always wanted a younger sister." He answered.
Wah I never thought he was an only child, I thought he would have a brother. Anyway as we kept walking we eventually got tired.
"Let's rest under this leaf for now, my legs will literally fall off if I walk any further" Sky said as she sat under the leaf.
"Me too, I am so out of breath." I said as I laid on my back catching my breath.
"Then rest well, I'll go see if there is anything there to eat." Ares said as he waved us and disappeared into the bushes.
"Why did you want to not include him, he was lost just like us and he does not even have a map." I asked her angrily.
"We are not lost for a fact as we have the map and I just have a weird feeling about him, like when you start to trust someone and become their friend for them to only break your trust and stab you in the back, ya that kind of feeling." She explained calmly.
"Any way where did he go, it is not like the fruits are miles away." I asked her.
"See why it is hard to trust him!" She said.
Ares's POV
"Make some space in the dungeon, we will have two more soon." I said to him over the phone.
"Ok ok, just make sure they don't suspect a thing." He replied.
"By the way, you may have a shot on one." I told him. He has been wanting a girlfriend since forever.
"What do you mean?" He asked obviously confused at what I told him.
"How dumb can you be when it comes to this? Two girls, both are hot, just make sure they are locked up with him. He looks like an old man though he is only 19. They will sure not be interested in him. Or you could make him look exactly like you and then you can take over from there." I said.
"Sounds like a plan!" He shouted through the phone.
"I'll head back they would probably start suspecting something is off. Meet you soon, bye." I said as I ended the call.
'Got to pluck some fruits and run' I thought to myself as started to walk.
Grace's POV
"Grace look he is back. Do you have a any idea how worried we were??" She shouted at him. I mean she has the right to, she even worried about a person she doesn't trust a bit.
"Well the berries were far from here...."He answered scratching his head. I'm starting to find something off about his vibe. Something is not right. I just know it.
"Sky could we talk please. It is really important." I asked her.
"Yep, but after we finish eating. I'm famished." She replied as she walked towards Aries.
"No. I WANT TO TALK NOW." I said with authority.
"Ok ok chill. What has gotten into you? You were fine a minute ago.." She said to me confusedly as she walked towards me.
"Siento que hay algo extrano en esta vibra, no crees??"("I feel something off about his vibe don't you think??") I asked her in Spanish. We were fluent in Spanish. Her mother tongue was Spanish and I asked her to teach me. I practically had to fall to her feet before she agreed.
"Te lo dije desde el principio.."("I told you so..") She replied trying to show off she was right.
"Si si, tengamos cuidado de ahora en adelate."("Ya ya, let us be more careful from now on.") I said to her.
"Ok." She said showing a thumbs up.
"Let's go back." I said.
"Finally, I'm starving, I feel like I could eat a whole antelope." She said as she ran towards the berries Ares was carrying.
"Hey, don't eat them all yourself, leave some for me." I shouted back at her as I ran behind her.
"Hey, calm down we all get some. I plucked enough for everyone so we don't starve." Ares said putting all the berries down.
While running Sky tripped on a branch and fell head first into the pile of berries. It looked like a brutal fall but I know that she can handle a fall as she has faced much worse. But still I can't help but worry over my friend. When I reached her I saw she started eating all the berries.
"Looks like nothing can stop you from eating the berries, am I right?" Ares asked.
"That's right, nothing can stop me from filling my stomach." She responded munching on the berries like a cow.
"You know, You are only missing two things from becoming a cow." I said
"And is that?" She asked.
"A tail and a pair of horns." Ares answers munching on the berries.
"That's right." I reply.
"You guys are so mean." She said with a frown on her face.
We finished the berries and took a quick nap before continuing our journey to the mansion. Before we did so a small kitten jumped out of the bushes catching us by surprise.
"Oh my, what a cutie he is.!!" Ares said kneeling down trying to get closer to the kitten.
"I didn't know you were a cat person." I said.
"How do you know it is a male?" Sky asks him.
"I just know it. Lets kept as our pet, please." He said kneeling with puppy eyes.
"Only if you can catch it." Sky says.
"Yes. Come here kitty kitty." He said as he moved towards it.
But that was the last thing we should have done. The kitten gave us a tremendous shock when Ares tried to pet it. The kitten opened it's mouth releasing a number of octopus like tentecles that went behind Ares and him only. After running for some time he lost energy and the kitten with the octopus tentecles engulfed him in one go. You couldn't even tell a human was in it.
"Good riddance. I couldn't tolerate that guy for one more minute." Sky said happily.
"Good riddance, I guess." I replied quietly.
