Jaxon's words piqued my interest, and I found myself drawn to his conversation. "I can't believe you became such a ladies' man in this school," I said with a grin. "Why did you always take every girl that came your way so seriously?" I playfully teased him, but he just shook his head.

"Stop mocking me," he said with a smile. "I've changed since then, you know. And it's all thanks to your mom."

I was surprised to hear him say that. "What do you mean?" I asked.

Jaxon went on to explain that he had learned a lot from my mom during his stay with us. He had always thought that his own mother was perfect and had followed in her footsteps, but he had realized that was a mistake. "Your mom is perfect," he said. "And she's trying her best."
