"Ms. Sarang are you okay?"
The voice of Eunyoung seemed to become fainter and fainter...
Once again I am not feeling well... Ahh I am feeling dizzy....
The maid rushed towards sarang..
"Let me take a hold of you, I shall take you back to your room, you may rest there."
Several hours went by... It was night now..
Ding Dong.... Ding dong.... Ding dong....
Ah, what is this noise...
Sarang woke up after a period of rest... She got off from the bed to check what was this noise...
"Mumma, you came back sooner tonight!"
She was surprised because as per her memory her mother always used to return home late.
"Obviously, you weren't feeling well, I got to know from eunyoung that you were rushing out to watch the movie and in that process you were about to collapse.When will you grow up and stop making so much ruckus."
"Now, now mumma I do not recollect what you are even saying, let's forget about that. I am totally fine now.. Will go to school tomorrow."
"Sure, let's have dinner but inform me at the earliest if you have any of the similar symptoms again. "
"Okay... Okay..".
"You sit down I will change and come..."
"Sure.. But dad... He won't be coming today as well..."
Sarang was sad as her mother did not give a reply regarding it.
At the dinner table, Sarang was having difficulty choosing what to eat. It was not because of the diversity of the food items but the same type of food across table, everything was meat.
"Sarang, what happened to you, why aren't you eating anything, it is your favorite dish. "
"Mumma, I don't know why but I don't feel like eating any meat, I feel nauseous."
"Well, I guess it's because of the medications that you don't feel like eating. I will tell eunyoung to make porridge or something light enough for you to eat."
Yes, I will go back in my room but tell her to put only vegetables.
"Yes.. Yess"
She went to her room to rest but then she remembered that she had to complete her homework. So she went to the cupboard to remove her workbooks and then she saw that book...It was a fantasy book
Ten steps to invoke magic...
"I guess before I fell ill, I was reading this book...let me finish reading it and after eating porridge I shall do my homework.
How can I miss a day without reading any of these fantasy stuffs...and I yesterday only I sneak peeked at the last few chapters, it was the final steps towards invoking magic..."
She took the book from her shelf , opened it and sat on the bed...
After finishing reading it she then closed her eyes...
"I suppose , I can just try for fun the method mentioned in this book to invoke magic....Hmm...It said I need to take a meditation stance and concentrate on my breathing....
She sat with an erect posture then....
I guess, my posture is fine, now well the next step told me to concentrate on my breathing ....
I feel very relaxed....Hmmm what did the next step said...ya something about imagining a sphere near the core of my body .....
And while taking each breath, imagine those particles...what's it called yaa...Mana to collect in it...
The longer I meditate the better the results it says..But since I don't have much time....I will try to imagine those mana particles quicker and form the core....
After several breaths...
I feel like I am rejuvenated...It definitely feels good...
Then she slowly opened her eyes....
Hah! what is all this, what are these golden particles I can see all over my room...
She tried touching them...but it went past her...
What is all this.....
She tried blinking her fast...opening and closing them...really fast
Finally...I can't see them anymore...I thought something happened to me again...I was gonna call mumma, but thank god it disappeared.
Mumma was right, I should stop reading fantasy books all the time, let me go and do my homework...
But, I guess I can continue this practicing this technique from now on, it really feels good....as though all my impurities has vanished...
And most importantly, this book was given to me by my dad on my birthday, how can I give up reading it....NEVER!"
A loud noise was heard and this time Sarang was not surprised..
It's from my stomach this time, I guess I am really hungry....Where is Eunyoung...should I go an check
Knock..knock...".Ms Sarang I am coming inside..."
She hurriedly hid the book under the pillow.
If eunyoung comes to know I was reading a fantasy book she will go and report my mom, better hide it for now, She thought to herself.
"Finally the food has arrived, I was so hungry you know...."
Eunyoung put the dish on the bedside table and ...
"What are you doing eunyoung..."
"Ms. Lee told me to check your temperature and if it was high to come and tell her."
"Tell your Ms Lee, I am totally fine and I will sleep after eating the porridge."
"Okay, I shall take my leave now."
"Hmm....Finally there is no one now, Let me keep this fantasy book in my school bag for now."
"Wow, this is so tasty, I have never eaten something so delicious before..."
"Hmmm.. What am I saying now, totally contradicting myself, obviously I have eaten a porridge before, I guess I was too tired and hungry that I am saying anything...
It barely took me 5 minutes to complete eating my food, I guess I will keep it in the kitchen and wash it otherwise eunyoung will come to my room again at the wrong time..."
She went to the kitchen.....but eunyoung was sitting at the dinner table almost sleepy...
"Eunyoung, why haven't you gone to sleep..."
"I was waiting for you to finish your food, you finished your food really fast."
"Yes, I knew you must be waiting for me that is why I finished it faster."
Eunyoung was surprised and at a loss for words.....
"Give me the plate , you were ill I will wash it and keep it."
"Okay thankyou.."
Ms. Sarang is behaving strangely, let me finish this and go and give a report to Ms. Lee about today.
Sarang also went to her room...completed the few problems of maths which were left and slept as soon as she closed her on the bed.
But will the dreams be peaceful or dreadful for Sarang, this night and what new surprises will the new day bring?
