Chapter 33 - Humans and Their Foul Language
So Ann was the one who had reported her.
"You said—-" Freddy began to speak. He obviously sounded angry and that in itself made Idalia feel a little kick of happiness.
"I saw her running into the woods."
"But I am here," Idalia said, her voice gentle. "If I were there then… I won't be able to escape…"
Idalia felt a hush of wind beside her.
Freddy had left the room in haste, probably to clarify the situation with the other guards. Maybe they would make an example out of him like the other guard. What was his name again? She had forgotten. He wasn't important.
"I will just explain things to him," Ann said with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "We will resolve this in no time." She waved a dismissive hand in the air before heading to her bed.
Idalia and Rosabel exchanged a look before Rosabel closed the door behind her and headed to her bed.
