Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Small Eyes Filled with Great Confusion

Verbal enchantment?

Such a thought instinctively surfaced in Felicity's mind.

In any case, after the woman with wine-red hair said "Listen to me, stop," her body truly slowed down for an instant.

"Wow, so impressive."

Felicity sincerely exclaimed.

She genuinely found verbal magic to be very cool.

"Thank you."

Kafka gracefully bowed,

"But all wonderful moments must come to an end. It's time to say goodbye."

"Finally resolved."

Silver Wolf stretched lazily. The Stellaron Hunters, reputedly capable of dealing with Emanators of Aeons, truly lived up to their name. Even Kafka had taken action, suggesting the script was nearly complete.

"But, I don't really want to say goodbye yet."

A gentle whisper sounded by Silver Wolf's ear, startling her. She instinctively dodged sideways but crashed hard into vines surging from the other side.

Kafka slightly froze, instinctively looking up to see Felicity had already stood up at some point, with emerald green light continuously shimmering around her.

"Abundance Enunciation: Impermanence of All Phenomena."

"Abundance Enunciation: Nirvana Without Residue."

"Abundance Enunciation: Non-Self of All Dharmas."

"Now, let's begin phase two."

The ground beneath her feet cracked like a spiderweb, with dozens of vines swirling around Felicity. The young girl lightly touched her lips with her index finger, tilting her head slightly with a kind smile.

"This level of Abundance blessing... Could this person be Shuhu?"

Struggling within the vines, Silver Wolf muttered to herself with some astonishment.

"Sweetie, Shuhu doesn't look like this."

Kafka narrowed her eyes slightly, raising both hands again as two compact submachine guns appeared in her grasp.

She pulled the trigger without hesitation, unleashing a relentless torrent of fierce firepower.

Bullets rained down like a storm.

Felicity finally raised both hands, the vines around her instantly converging to form a spherical barrier protecting her within.

Only when the gunfire completely ceased did Felicity wave her hand to disperse the surrounding vines. However, as the barrier opened a gap, a grenade actually slipped through the opening into the interior.

Clatter—

The grenade came to a stop right at Felicity's feet.

"Oh?"

Felicity neither dodged nor defended—not because she wasn't afraid of the grenade's threat, but because her reflexes genuinely couldn't allow escape in such a short time.

Since that was the case, she simply gave up.

Boom—

[Life Is Non-Life]

Emerald green light shone once more, and the damage to Felicity's body was instantly restored to its original state. The vines immediately dispersed, but Kafka and Silver Wolf were nowhere to be seen.

"They still managed to escape."

Felicity sighed.

After all, this was her first real battle. Reaching this level could already be considered quite good.

Come to think of it, she seemed pretty powerful—able to pressure two seemingly formidable opponents, though it probably had a lot to do with their unwillingness to continue fighting.

Suddenly, as if remembering something, the girl quickly waved her hand to disperse the summoned vines. If questioned later, she'd just blame it on those two—otherwise, she definitely couldn't afford to compensate for the space station's damages.

Speaking of which, what's the deal with that gray-haired girl...

Having lived at Herta Space Station for some time now, Felicity had become familiar with most of the staff, but she had never seen such a gray-haired girl before.

Logically speaking, she shouldn't have no impression of such a pretty girl whose looks were above average.

Felicity touched her chin, deep in thought, when the voices of a man and a woman engaged in an alternating conversation reached her ears.

"Hey, Dan Heng, it seems like there's still movement in that room. Could it be that someone hasn't evacuated yet?"

"Hmm, hard to say. There's no signal from the space station over there."

"Ah, at a time like this, all sorts of unexpected things are bound to happen. Anyway, let's go check it out first."

"..."

As soon as the words fell, the door to the room abruptly opened, and a pink head poked in first. The pink-blue eyes sparkled brightly the moment they met Felicity's gaze.

"See~ I told you there was still someone in this room~"

She darted into the room and said triumphantly to the man behind her.

"..."

Behind the pink-haired girl, the black-haired man named Dan Heng also entered. He looked at Felicity, who was standing beside the gray-haired girl and about to check her physical condition, and instinctively furrowed his brow.

"The scent of an Abundance abomination..."

"Dan Heng, what are you talking about?"

March 7th glanced at Dan Heng in confusion, not understanding what he meant by "Abundance abomination."

"Nothing."

Dan Heng shook his head. His gaze shifted to the surroundings of the room, then to the gray-haired girl lying on the side, and finally back to Felicity. After a pause, he asked:

"You... are the Abundance Emanator, Felicity?"

"You know me?"

Felicity raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Felicity did recognize them—passengers of the Astral Express, who had some level of cooperation with Herta Space Station and occasionally came to resupply. She had run into them once before but hadn't paid much attention.

But they hadn't seen her.

Considering that even Herta's base could be ambushed, Felicity instantly grew wary.

"Don't misunderstand. We are members of the Astral Express. I am Dan Heng, and this is March 7th. This space station has been attacked by the Antimatter Legion. We were entrusted by Station Manager Asta to come and assist."

Dan Heng raised his hand, instinctively shielding March 7th behind him, his expression equally cautious.

"Whoa, Dan Heng, explaining it like that will only scare her!"

March 7th let out an adorable exclamation, struggling to peek out from behind Dan Heng, clasping her hands together.

"Sorry, sorry, he's just not good at expressing himself. He means no harm."

"..."

Dan Heng remained silent.

"It's fine."

Felicity blinked and let her guard down as well. She truly didn't sense any malice from the pink-haired girl. As for why the man named Dan Heng was so wary of her...

Felicity couldn't figure it out, so she simply stopped thinking about it.

"Speaking of which, you said the space station was attacked by the Antimatter Legion. Could you elaborate? What happened?"

The girl steered the conversation back on track.

"Huh?"

March 7th tilted her head, her sparkling wide eyes round with astonishment. She looked strangely at Felicity and replied somewhat puzzled:

"They're the enforcers of Nanook the Destruction. They blew a hole in the space station and broke in."

"...Huh?"

Felicity blinked in confusion.

"...Huh??"

March 7th also blinked in confusion.
