Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Huh?

After Arlan's explanation, March 7th finally remembered that she probably should have a key given by Asta somewhere on her.

But she couldn't remember where she put it.

Fortunately, she hadn't lost it. After searching for a while, she eventually found the key in her shirt pocket.

"Hehe, I told you I didn't lose it."

March 7th scratched her head somewhat sheepishly. Even someone as carefree as her couldn't help feeling a bit embarrassed after causing such a commotion.

"...Since you haven't lost it, let's get started quickly. The elevator's permissions can be unlocked using the control panel over there."

Arlan pointed toward the direction of the control center.

Dan Heng sighed helplessly and summoned his spear, taking position at the front of the group.

"I'll scout ahead."

"Hey now, Dan Heng, you don't need to work so hard. We have Miss Felicity here after all—Eh, where did Miss Felicity go?"

March 7th had only taken a few steps when she tried to persuade Dan Heng to relax, reasoning that with an Emanator as their bodyguard, it would be difficult for anyone to threaten them unless another Emanator showed up.

But when she turned to look in Felicity's direction, she noticed the Abundance Emanator wasn't following the group. Looking further back, she saw Felicity still standing at the elevator's original location.

"Miss Felicity? Can you hear me? Hey—"

"Hmm? Ah, I'm fine."

Felicity, who had remained in place, finally looked up as if waking from a dream, offering a faint smile as she hurried to catch up.

Before leaving, she glanced toward a distant window.

...There's a rather large life presence outside the space station.

...

Dealing with the elevator control device didn't take much time, and with Felicity's protection, ordinary Voidrangers couldn't get anywhere near the group.

"Wow~! An Emanator's abilities are just too incredible! I didn't even see how the enemies fell!"

March 7th exclaimed in amazement, stars shining in her eyes. By now, she had completely let her guard down and was looking at Felicity with admiration, asking curiously: "How did you do that?"

"Hmph, as an Emanator, I shall vanquish all enemies in this world."

Felicity proudly puffed out her chest, wearing an expression that seemed to say 'keep praising me, don't stop.'

"What kind of new setting is that now?"

Even someone as eccentric as March 7th couldn't keep up with Felicity's train of thought, and she immediately rolled her eyes in exasperation.

"Speaking of which, we've already reached the elevator entrance. This feels more like a field trip than anything else~"

March 7th glanced around, the relaxed atmosphere making her let her guard down instantly. But the moment she spoke, she suddenly covered her mouth as if remembering something.

"Did I... just jinx us?"

March 7th asked tentatively.

"You caught on pretty quick."

Felicity gave March 7th a thumbs-up and sincerely praised, "And it was quite effective too."

"This is the last thing I want to be praised for!"

March 7th let out a despairing wail.

As her words faded, a massive white arrow wreathed in purple energy shot forth from ahead of the group.

Dan Heng immediately drew his spear to block it, but Felicity moved faster than him. In a flash, she positioned herself in front of everyone, raising her hand to directly withstand the arrow's impact with her bare flesh.

"Miss Felicity?!"

March 7th couldn't suppress her startled cry. She could clearly see a vivid blood lotus blooming abruptly in the palm of Felicity's hand. The arrow carried traces of Destruction energy—even an Emanator wouldn't fare well taking such a hit head-on!

Even Dan Heng showed a stunned expression. He never expected this Emanator they'd just met would unhesitatingly use her own body to block a fatal attack for them.

Meanwhile, Stelle, who was being protected behind March 7th and Dan Heng with a bewildered expression, only grew more confused.

From her birth until now, she hadn't even had time to absorb all the various settings March 7th had explained to her. Faced with the sudden change in situation, she couldn't react immediately, only tilting her head slightly and letting out a puzzled sound:

"Huh?"

On the other side, Felicity's palm had been pierced through by the arrow, yet she merely furrowed her brows slightly—as if she'd just discovered a shallow cut on her arm. A bit painful, a bit annoying, but nothing serious.

With a light flick of her hand, the now-powerless arrow was cast aside.

"Ha..."

Felicity paused briefly as she felt the pain radiating from her arm, then let out a soft sigh,

"...Too weak. It lacks power."

The power of this arrow was naturally incomparable to those of the Voidrangers, but it was still far from posing any real threat to Felicity's body. Even with all her defenses down, it only managed to pierce through her palm.

At this level, it couldn't possibly kill her—but Felicity roughly understood now that this Antimatter Legion could potentially pose a threat to her.

She just wondered if the Lord Ravager would prove more formidable.

Emerald light flickered in her palm, and the heart-stopping wound began healing at a visible rate. Simultaneously, two large flowers materialized on either side of Felicity, surrounding the hidden figure in a pincer formation from both sides.

"It's a Trampler!"

March 7th exclaimed in alarm.

Tramplers are also members of the Antimatter Legion. Compared to ordinary Voidrangers, they're relatively scarce but combine a warrior's intelligence with ancient beasts' power and mobility. Their screeches alone can summon large numbers of common Voidrangers.

Under normal circumstances, they'd be somewhat threatening enemies—even requiring considerable effort for Dan Heng and March 7th to handle together. But now...

Two massive flowers enveloped the Trampler, their petals connected by a pale green barrier. Seeing this, the Trampler immediately raised its front hooves and stomped down with tremendous force—a strike that could shred metal—yet failed to even shake the flowers.

Felicity raised her hand, lightly flicking her index and middle fingers downward. The two flowers instantly erupted with a vibrant emerald glow.

"Bloom, in my name."

*Crack—*

A sound like something snapping echoed as the power of Abundance surged forth like a torrent, piercing through the Trampler's body and sweeping away its life energy along with it.

The Trampler collapsed to the ground, not even having time to let out a scream or a whinny.

The scene fell into silence.

"Just like that... it's over?"

After a moment, March 7th finally broke the silence, unable to hold back. She glanced at Felicity's hand, which had taken the arrow head-on—the palm was now completely restored, with no trace of having been pierced.

Then she looked at the Trampler's corpse lying nearby. Though lifeless, it bore not a single visible wound.

She seemed to want to say something, but with too many thoughts swirling in her mind, she couldn't find the right words to start. In the end, a thousand unspoken words condensed into a single sound.

"Huh?"
