Gideon brought Summer back to his villa.
A doctor soon arrived and examined her. "She is under too much stress," the doctor explained after the checkup. "With proper rest, she'll recover."
He handed Gideon a prescription. "Make sure she takes these medicines on time."
"I will. Thank you."
After the doctor left, Gideon sat beside the bed, studying her pale, fragile face. "I'll find our son and bring him home," he murmured. "Just stay with me."
He held her hand and gently pressed his lips to her palm.
His phone vibrated. Seeing Matthew's name on the screen, he answered.
"Sir, you need to come to the office right away," Matthew said urgently. "Something important has come up."
Gideon hesitated, his gaze drifting back to Summer. But there were too many matters demanding his attention, things he needed to settle before returning to his hometown.
"I'm on my way."
