'Finally he makes a good decision. I am proud of you, Rasa.' Shota thought with genuine satisfaction as he heard that Rasa would have him study Fuinjutsu. And it was not some reward for a mission either.
Rasa kept speaking. "But we cannot rely on only you, so I will be picking two or three more people that would be taught with you under them. I will inform the honored siblings of this arrangement."
He then asked another question. "If I am not wrong, you have already been taught by Lady Chiyo long back?"
Shota nodded in nostalgia, remembering those old training days. Lady Chiyo had been strict but very skilled. Those lessons felt like they happened a long time ago, yet the memories were still clear.
"You would get an Anbu summon to know when your training would start. Understood?" Rasa asked.
Shota nodded again to show he understood everything.
'Damn, while I am looking forward to train in fuinjutsu, this would put my advanced nature manipulation and ninjutsu training on a halt. Well, I guess it is time to use my shadow clones training to lower down my workload.' he thought.
Shota continued planning in his head. 'My limit is three shadow clones currently. While I could create more, they would not have enough chakra to do what I want them to. But I could create a couple more clones with less chakra considering fuinjutsu takes less chakra.'
He felt excited about the idea. 'Hmm, that settles it. I will use three shadow clones to learn fuinjutsu after Lady Chiyo and Elder Ebizo have taught me something, and two shadow clones with much more chakra would continue to work on advanced nature manipulation. Meanwhile, I can contemplate about what other principles I can apply to my fire release and what principles I can use to master the wind style vacuum bullets jutsu... and take a few naps in between. Yay, shadow clones for the win.'
The plan sounded perfect to him. Shadow clones would let him train in multiple things at once without losing time. He could study hard with the clones and then take real naps while they did the work. It was one of the best parts of having this ability.
Rasa then said something that made Shota a bit mad. "You have studied the vacuum jutsu?"
Shota nodded.
"Then I authorise you to learn it. Consider it as a reward for the mission," Rasa said.
'Wow, dude. Just wow. I was thinking of saving you from Orochimaru, but I guess I should let him just kill you. Yeah, reward. If I had not already studied the scroll, you would not let me even have that. That's the stingy kage of the poorest shinobi village.' Shota sighed underneath his mask.
He continued his internal rant, 'Well, who am I kidding. I am a big softy. I would end up saving him for the village. Ugh. Sometimes I hate my own kindness.' Shota imagined himself complaining to a mirror later. "Oh, poor me, the generous hero who saves stingy Kazekages even when they act cheap."
His kind heart always won in the end, even when it annoyed him. He pictured a cartoon version of himself with angel wings and a money bag, torn between saving the day and demanding better rewards.
Rasa then said simply, "Dismissed."
Shota bowed and left the room. As he walked out of the Kazekage building, his mind was still active. 'Well, my duty is not over yet. I am hundred percent fucking sure that Danzo got the vacuum jutsus from either the traitor elder or at least how to steal them. And I can finally start finding solid proof against him.' Shota thought with a grin underneath his mask.
Shota moved quickly through the streets of Sunagakure after leaving the Kazekage building. He headed straight to the Suna library without wasting any time.
He wanted to find out more about the Second Kazekage and his family. The information he had received during the mission about the Vacuum Bullets jutsu had made him curious. There were still many unanswered questions about how such a valuable technique had ended up in Danzo's hands.
Inside the library, Shota searched through many shelves and read several old scrolls and books. After some time, he found exactly what he was looking for. The records clearly showed the connections between the Second Kazekage's family and certain elders in the village.
'Just as I thought. This elder is the cousin of the Second Kazekage. And someone who held the custody of the Vacuum jutsus until the Third Kazekage asked him to give it to the village so that anyone talented enough to learn it in the village can learn it.' Shota thought about what he had read.
He sat down at a quiet table and continued reading the old documents. The details matched his suspicions perfectly. The elder had kept the jutsus in his family's private collection for a long time.
When the Third Kazekage decided to share them with the village, it must have created tension. Shota could picture the elder feeling angry about losing control over such powerful techniques that belonged to his bloodline.
'People who could have learned the Vacuum jutsus would need a lot of talent and hard work to do so. It makes sense that they took it from the elder since no one else would have managed to learn it and it would have been a waste of the Second Kazekage's legacy. I can imagine the guy not being happy with it.'
In the elder's own group of students and family members, probably no one had succeeded in mastering it. That was likely why the Third Kazekage decided to open the jutsus to all talented shinobi in the village instead of keeping them limited to one family. But not long after the jutsus were taken from the elder, they were stolen from the village archives.
'And the guy was also responsible for the village internal security at that time. So it must have been easy for him to help Danzo steal those jutsus. His philosophy would have been simple. If he can't have those jutsus exclusively, then he won't let the village have them either. Instead he used them as a bargaining chip to get help from Danzo. This is all my theory but with what all I know this makes sense.' Shota thought.
He closed the scroll carefully and returned it to its place. The pieces were starting to fit together in his mind.
