"Roar!"
The crimson-and-purple Barbarian Dragon twisted its enormous body like a terrifying sky-supporting pillar and slammed straight at Vilgax.
"Why me?!"
Vilgax cursed under his breath and turned to run.
Boom!
In the next instant, the giant rock Vilgax had been standing on was smashed to pieces by the Barbarian Dragon's head, erupting with a thunderous blast that echoed in all directions.
Many alien beasts lurking nearby were terrified by the sheer spectacle and scattered in every direction like ants hit with water, not daring to stay even a moment longer.
As one of the overlords of the Null Void, the Barbarian Dragon was infamous for its ferocity. Even creatures like the Null Guardians did not dare provoke it lightly.
Vilgax leaped onto the back of a Null Guardian.
"Move, get us out of this hellhole!"
Taking the Omnitrix was important, sure, but only if he lived long enough to use it. This giant serpent was far too powerful. Better to avoid it for now.
"Hey, Octopus Head, wait for me!"
Seeing Vilgax flee, Kevin naturally did not dare linger either. He had no intention of facing the Barbarian Dragon and his two mortal enemies alone.
He jumped onto the back of another Null Guardian and grabbed hold of its feathers.
"Screech!"
The Null Guardian shot into the air at once, flapping its gray-white wings as its tail tentacles lashed wildly, racing after the other one.
The Barbarian Dragon roared, opening its mountain-like fangs. Carrying a heavy stench, it smashed through the floating rocks in its path and lunged viciously at Kevin.
"Oh no!"
Kevin's pupils shrank. He yanked hard on the Null Guardian's feathers and pulled it to the side.
The Null Guardian shrieked in pain and hurriedly swerved away, narrowly escaping the Barbarian Dragon's bite.
Boom!
The hundred-meter serpent missed, but its momentum did not lessen in the slightest.
It plunged downward with a thunderous roar, scarlet eyes blazing with murderous intent, then crashed toward Technorg and Stinkfly below with overwhelming force.
"Cuz, I'm getting out of here first!"
Stinkfly grinned and, with a thought, instantly switched into XLR8.
Whoosh!
A blue blur shot away, escaping the giant serpent's attack range.
"That kid really can run," Technorg said with a smile, shaking his head.
Still, that was fine. With Ben gone, he no longer had to hold back and could fight freely.
Whoosh!!
The giant serpent bore down from above, the hurricane it generated tearing across Technorg's face.
Technorg's brilliant golden eyes shone fiercely. He bent his knees slightly, gathering strength, and stared fixedly at the sky-blocking Barbarian Dragon.
"This serpent's strength is terrifying. Unless I have no other choice, I absolutely cannot take it head-on..."
Technorg lowered his gaze to the lone boulder beneath his feet.
"But there are no other footholds left nearby. If I run, this boulder will still be destroyed, and I still will not escape its pursuit."
So there was only one option. Fight, not retreat.
The Omnitrix still allowed one more hero switch, but that chance was precious. Better to save it unless absolutely necessary.
As Technorg thought this, the massive serpent had already arrived in front of him.
"ROAR!!!"
That enormous dark maw looked like a bottomless abyss, enough to devour all things and frighten any ordinary person out of their wits.
Technorg let out a cold snort and planted his feet.
Then he gathered all his strength into one motion, raised the meteor hammer in his left hand, and smashed it upward.
Boom!
The meteor hammer, as large as a sack, carried rings of white shockwaves as it tore through the air and slammed hard into the giant serpent's head.
With a deafening crash, the Barbarian Dragon's falling body stopped short.
But only for a second.
Then it continued crashing down, and the sheer force shattered the boulder beneath Technorg's feet.
"Roar!"
The pain in its head sent the Barbarian Dragon into a frenzy. It twisted its titan-like steel body and instantly sent the much smaller Technorg flying.
Technorg's heart sank as his body dropped rapidly.
The rock beneath his feet had already been destroyed. Without a foothold, he had no way to exert force.
Fortunately, gravity in the Null Void was very low. Though he had been knocked away, he drifted toward the nearest floating rock like an astronaut.
But the Barbarian Dragon clearly had no intention of giving him that chance.
After knocking Technorg away, it let out a deafening roar. The violent soundwaves spread outward and shattered countless floating rocks.
Then the Barbarian Dragon launched another attack, arching its thick serpentine body and shooting forward like a cobra, crimson eyes locked on Technorg as it lunged at him in midair.
If those razor-sharp fangs bit into him, even a small mountain would probably be torn apart on the spot.
I can't drag this out any longer.
Technorg's eyes sharpened as he slapped the Omnitrix on his chest...
