Leo was silent for a moment. He tried to peek under the ship, but he couldn't see anything.
"If it's worth any consolation, everything happened so fast that he probably couldn't even register pain."
"I..." Timmy fell on his knees, looking at his hands. "What did I do?"
Even though his hands were perfectly clean, he could still see blood on them. His heart was unable to settle down.
Leo scratched the back of his head, seeing Timmy fall apart right before his eyes. He placed a hand on Timmy's shoulder to console him.
"I was just kidding. You didn't kill anyone. The person wasn't an ordinary human. He teleported right before you crashed. So don't blame yourself."
He didn't really see any teleportation. Although the man was truly weird, Leo truly saw him getting crushed. Still, to protect Timmy's sanity, he lied to his face.
"Are you telling the truth?" Timmy raised his head, his eyes still red.
