Chapter 1 - Prologue

… and in the midst of all the blood and chaos, there he was.

Standing silently. Staring from afar.

His silhouette which struck fear into the hearts of his enemies.

His crimson-red eyes gleaming in the dark.

He took a step forward and the ground started to shake.

He took another step and the darkness around him started to spread.

Another step forward and the monsters felt their impending death.

And a final step as every being in his presence kneels.

It was him. The God of Gods. The King of Kings. The Lord of Shade. And his true name of power, "The One They Fear"

Teramordia, a land filled with Tales and Legends of Heroes and Monsters fighting each other for survival since the beginning of time. The continent that brimmed with beauty was also a land that is filled with unsightly views. Where there was a field of flowers, there too was a sea of blood. Where there was a view of an infinite, beautiful horizon, there too was a view of suffocating mist and grotesque forest where dead trees lie in ruin and where sunlight can not reach.

The Free People of Teramordia worship Gods to protect them from terrifying creatures that envelop every nook and cranny of the continent. The Gods answered them and gave them the opportunity to become beings with higher understanding of the world, and by doing so, they learned to craft weapons to defend themselves and they learned to fight as one, putting their differences aside.

It was believed that the Gods also bestowed upon them the gift of mana. A mysterious essence that every living creature possesses. They believed that the Gods gave them a higher understanding of the world in order for them to shape mana to create their own magic.

And so, many Kingdoms established their own academies, hoping to teach those who were gifted by the Gods, how to wield its power properly.

There is a limit to how powerful your magic can be, depending on how potent your mana is and how much time you spend training it. Even then, those who have been training their mana for their whole lives have only attained so much before they started to stagnate.

There are those who are gifted even among those who can use mana, so much so that they are called transcendants, or people who are born to transcend the understanding of magic.

As magic evolved throughout the continent of Teramordia, monsters adapted and learned to use mana and make their own magic.

Now, stuck in a cycle of endless war with the monsters. How will the Free People of Teramordia lead the future of their lands?
