The two-day weekend holiday ended. Lu Ye had to return to school for classes.
However, after the worldline shift, Magic City University also underwent earth-shattering changes.
Walking around campus, he saw young men and women carrying Poké Balls everywhere. Some simply let their Pokémon follow along.
Most were small-sized Pokémon like Pidgey, Growlithe, and Skitty. Some students even rode Linoone, zooming past in a flash.
"No Pokémon racing on school grounds!"
"Supervisor, calm down. That's from the Battle Department, training today!"
Lu Ye checked the official website and discovered that a "Trainer Academy" had indeed appeared on the south campus.
Among them, Pokémon Battle and Pokémon Breeding were actually top-tier majors.
But these had little relation to Lu Ye, a finance major.
Although the course schedule added several Pokémon electives, Lu Ye's core courses hadn't changed much.
"Good thing there's still time to review, otherwise this semester's scholarship would be in jeopardy." Lu Ye murmured.

Though sporting a buzz cut, his M-shaped hairline had deeply betrayed Brother Dayou, making one sigh deeply: This is a strong one!
Reaching the seat his roommate saved, Lu Ye whispered, "Why are there so many people today? The teacher doesn't even take attendance!"
Liang Dayou smiled. "Didn't you see the group messages? Today's class has a visiting instructor, even a Pokémon Professor."
Lu Ye froze slightly. "Which region's Pokémon Professor?"
"Sinnoh region, Professor Rowan!"
The packed lecture hall suddenly burst into thunderous applause. A few reporters with equipment even squeezed into the back row.
An elderly man with a moustache and stern expression, carrying a briefcase, slowly entered the classroom.
Gray-white hair slicked with gel, Professor Rowan wore a grey coat over a blue velvet vest with a tie. After coughing, he greeted in English:
"I am Rowan from the Sinnoh region. Today I will substitute teach this class."
The classroom erupted in surprised gasps.
Liang Dayou lowered his voice, unable to hide his excitement. "Professor Rowan is an expert on evolution research, hailed as Sinnoh's foremost scholar!"
Lu Ye's expression was complex. "I know him."
"You know him?"
Of course, Lu Ye knew him. Wasn't this the Pokémon Professor from the Sinnoh region who gave out starter Pokémon?
Excitement aside, students quickly calmed down and listened attentively.
Despite teaching entirely in English, this stern elder explained concepts clearly and engagingly, drawing people in.
"Sinnoh Pokémon history originates from mythological times, and can be considered part of world Pokémon history."
"According to mythological legend, the singularity formed after the Big Bang gave birth to the most ancient creation deity, Arceus."
"Subsequently, Arceus created deities governing time, space, and antimatter... On the third day, Arceus endowed living beings with emotion, willpower, and knowledge..."
Just as everyone was immersed, Professor Rowan suddenly tapped the blackboard, saying seriously:
"Perhaps many of you will never encounter this Pokémon history again in your lives."
"But history is humanity's treasure. For you, this is equally precious wealth."
Magic City University's key disciplines were liberal arts and history majors.
Presumably, this was why the school invited Professor Rowan to lecture.
As Lu Ye pondered, Liang Dayou anxiously elbowed him.
Professor Rowan said gravely, "Does anyone among you know the names of the Pokémon in these mythological epics?"
The classroom atmosphere grew tense.
After all, few would specifically memorise those obscure names.
In a parallel world, it was like reciting several hero names from the Iliad. Even Greek scholars wouldn't be completely confident they could name them all.
Seeing no response, Professor Rowan stroked his moustache. "If you can't name them, you can discuss your views on Pokémon history."
Surveying the classroom, Professor Rowan nodded. "The handsome male student in the front row, please share your thoughts."
At the mention of "handsome," the entire classroom's attention snapped to Lu Ye.
Brother Dayou elbowed Lu Ye gleefully, desperately suppressing laughter, tears seeming to streak from his eyes.
If not for the hairline, Brother Dayou would also be a handsome man!
"Teacher, may I answer the previous question?"
"Of course."
Professor Rowan nodded in surprise. "The three deities that endowed living beings with emotion, willpower, and knowledge are..."
"Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie."
Lu Ye answered unhurriedly.
"According to legend, they reside in Sinnoh's Lake Verity, Lake Valor, and Lake Acuity respectively."
The classroom fell silent.
Liang Dayou turned to look. A girl in the back row stared at Lu Ye, entranced.
Professor Rowan was slightly stunned because Lu Ye had specifically used Japanese to translate several proper nouns for accuracy.
"...Yes, your description is quite accurate!"
Professor Rowan nodded with emotion and led the applause.
Thunderous applause erupted. Camera shutters clicked in the back row, but Lu Ye's expression was strange.

Knowing legendary Pokémon names was rare?

"Worthy of being Lu Ye, a top-three academic achiever!"
"When did he learn Japanese? His pronunciation sounds so good..."

Brother Dayou listened to the teasing from behind, expressionlessly pulling out Java Programming Language from his bag.
Study. Only continuous study can make oneself stronger!
After class, students respectfully passed by Professor Rowan, who sternly nodded.
A group of teachers surrounded Professor Rowan. Lu Ye also planned to leave, but was suddenly called out.
"Lu Ye, excuse me, do you have any plans this afternoon?"
Professor Rowan specifically named Lu Ye.
Lu Ye froze slightly. Under envious gazes, Liang Dayou pushed him forward.
"Hello Professor, I don't have any other classes this afternoon."
Professor Rowan's brow relaxed. "I have several specialised courses this afternoon. I'd like you to serve as accompanying translator."
The surroundings immediately erupted in envious whispers.
Those honoured as Pokémon Professors were undoubtedly leaders in their academic fields.
Accompanying them was absolutely something countless people dreamed of.
Yet right now, Professor Rowan personally invited Lu Ye.
Clearly, Professor Rowan favoured Lu Ye and wanted to give him a practical opportunity!
