"Alright, alright, my mistake. I'll buy you a coffee, okay?"
"Is my mom still not resting? Doesn't she need a nap?"
"She's having chemotherapy today, probably won't have time for a nap. I fear you'll feel distressed seeing her during chemotherapy, best not to watch. When she's done, the nurse will report back to me, and I'll take you over then."
"But I want to see."
Stella said softly.
"Okay, I'll take you there, just don't get caught."
Watching her demeanor, Ethan felt a bit soft-hearted and waved his fingers to signal her to follow.
Following Ethan downstairs, as they got closer to the chemotherapy area, Stella's legs grew increasingly weak.
"Wait, my legs are weak, I can't walk anymore."
Stella clutched Ethan's sleeve and said quietly.
"Should we go back then?"
Ethan asked with a smile.
"No, I can do it."
Stella took a deep breath and pointed not far away, "Is it over there? I'll go take a look."
