The incident with Skye Sherman is like the sky is falling down.
He was already nearing retirement age, and now he has to go to jail because of this.
Anyone would find that hard to accept.
Eve Sherman had a hard time settling Cecilia Morgan back home, and under Mrs. Sherman's persistent questioning, she didn't reveal anything, only saying Cecilia was feeling unwell.
But she knew that Skye Sherman's detention and impending court sentencing were things that couldn't be hidden for long.
She still didn't know how Mrs. Sherman would react then.
"Grandma, I've been feeling a bit lonely at home recently. How about you come over and keep me company? I have things I could discuss with you too."
Eve Sherman glanced at the distraught Cecilia Morgan and said softly.
"If you have any troubles, just call me. Why didn't you let me stay with you before, and now you want me over? Are you not annoyed with me anymore?"
