"I control my own life, why do I need others to provide guarantees for me? Why do you want to impose your thoughts on me?"
"No, I was just making a comment, why are you so angry? Weren't you happy last night? If not, it's President Sutton's problem, what's the use of you getting angry at me?"
Zoe Sawyer pursed her lips and after yelling, felt that she might have gone too far, so she stepped forward to hold Eve Sherman's hand, "Don't worry, if you don't want anything to happen between you and President Sutton, I won't say anything about last night. Only the three of us know about it, no one else will."
She spoke so sincerely that anyone else would have believed her by now.
But Eve Sherman wasn't a fool.
Yet she also didn't want to believe that her good friend of many years would betray her for a man.
"Zoe, I want to ask you, I'll ask you one last time, are you really not involved in this?"
"I really have nothing to do with it! Should I swear an oath?"
