"Understood."
Gigi Thorne nodded obediently.
Stella Sutton's expression finally softened a bit, "I knew you and Eve Sherman aren't the same type. You're much smarter than her. That kind of person, all she's got is being annoying. Thinks she's some paragon of virtue—I've got no patience for poor, arrogant women."
Her words were harsh, but Gigi Thorne didn't dare say more, just nodded along and agreed.
But later, when Stella tried to buy her something, she didn't dare accept it.
She hadn't known Stella had ulterior motives before; she'd honestly thought it was just some rich girl's casual gift.
Now she realized she really couldn't just take expensive things.
If this young lady got unhappy, she'd kick her out in a heartbeat—and then Gigi wouldn't have a leg to stand on, not with Eve or President Sutton.
After all, Eve's relationship with President Sutton was so good now, and he was her big support. Gigi had to tread carefully.
