Chapter 72 - Quality test

It was a night of deep, dreamless sleep, the kind that restores the soul.

When Lief opened his eyes, the mid-morning sunlight was already filtering through the curtains, drawing lines of golden dust in the air of his room.

He stretched lazily in bed, arching his back until his joints released a series of satisfying cracks.

He felt incredibly renewed, with a mental clarity he had not had in days.

Knowing that he had the "Devil May Cry Agency," had changed things totally.

It was not just a base of operations or a warehouse, it was knowing that, no matter how chaotic the outside world became or how many horrors were nearby, he would always have an inviolable sanctuary where he was the absolute God.

And this security was worth more than anything else.

He sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his face to wake up fully, and out of habit, opened his interface to check the inventory. His gaze inevitably stopped on the item he had won in the lottery yesterday.

[Item: "Seduction" Silk Stockings Pack (Black, White, Gray - One Size)]

His expression became somewhat complex.

"Ahem," he cleared his throat, straightening his back.

His mind began to work at full speed, building a fortress of logical justifications.

'It is a waste of resources to throw away a quality item,' he thought with solemn seriousness. 'Besides, with Jennifer we have something... Maintaining her morale is vital. Succubi like fine clothes, right? It would be rude not to give her a gift when I have one at hand.'

After this round of mental gymnastics, he nodded to himself. His logic was impeccable, there was nothing perverted about it, it was simply efficiency.

With a clear conscience, he got up, took a quick shower and dressed in dark jeans and a light leather jacket. He took out of the inventory the black packaging box with gold letters, very elegant, weighed it in his hand for a moment and went down the stairs.

Lillith, Esther, and Emma were sitting on the sofa, with their eyes glued to the television, watching a cartoon marathon... something about a coyote and a roadrunner.

On the coffee table there were three half finished bowls of sugary cereals, the milk already turning colors from the artificial dye.

Lief went down the last steps, jingling the keys in his hand.

"Good morning, brother," greeted Esther without taking her eyes off the screen.

"Morning," responded Lief, taking a quick look around. "Where are the bosses?"

"Mom and Dad went to do the shopping," responded Lillith.

Lief nodded.

"Good. I am going out for a while," he announced, heading to the door. "Behave yourselves and stay inside the house."

"Understood!"

Lief went out and the fresh morning air hit his face.

He walked toward where Fenrir was parked. He got on, turned on the engine and the machine responded with a deep roar, the beast had awakened.

He left the driveway leaving a trail of dust, driving toward his objective: Jennifer's house.

Even without going fast, the journey was short.

Ten minutes later, Fenrir stopped gently in front of Jennifer's house. It was a pretty house, with a well kept garden.

Lief stored the motorcycle in his inventory, walked up the entrance path, adjusted his jacket and rang the doorbell.

He did not have to wait long, as slow footsteps were heard on the other side and the door opened.

It was Jennifer.

She looked like she had just gotten out of bed. She was wearing only a white shirt, an oversized one that fit her like a short dress.

The fabric was thin, and the hem barely grazed the upper part of her thighs, leaving her long, perfectly shaped legs exposed to the morning air.

She had a couple of buttons undone, enough to reveal a fine collarbone and the suggestion of a deep cleavage, but without showing anything explicit.

Her black, curly hair cascaded over her shoulders in an artistic mess.

She blinked, looking at him with eyes that still seemed to hold the veil of sleep.

Her face had a touch of confusion, but the way she leaned against the door frame radiated an aura of lethal sensuality.

When she recognized him, her eyes lit up.

"Lief..." she said, her husky morning voice making the word sound less like an invitation. "So early? Did you miss me~?"

"Come in, do not just stand there."

She stepped aside, letting him pass, and then closed the door with a sharp thud behind him.

"I just came to check if you are really okay... nothing more," responded Lief, trying to sound as serious as possible.

He walked into the living room without looking to the sides.

Jennifer followed him with a feline lightness, closing the distance between them with alarming speed and the moment he stopped, she was right behind, her body barely grazing his back.

"I am perfectly fine~" she purred with her warm breath brushing his ear. "In fact, every day I feel better..."

The sensation of her body so close, combined with the scent of her body, which was sweet, made his shoulders tense.

Lief took a side step to separate himself, breaking the bubble and turned to face her, maintaining a prudent distance near the leather sofa.

He took a deep breath, forcing an expression of seriousness and finally, took the exquisite packaging box out of his jacket.

"This," he began, his voice sounding a little more tense than he intended. "Is something I obtained unexpectedly..."

"?"

Jennifer took it with both hands, looking at him with genuine curiosity. "What is it, a necklace?"

"No," he continued. "I heard that when used, it can drastically boost the wearer's passive attraction aura and therefore, I need you to test its concrete effect... You are the most qualified person for this."

"..."

Jennifer stared at him and a small smile formed on her lips. She lowered her head, carefully peeled off the seal of the box and opened it.

When her eyes caught the material inside, the confusion vanished completely, replaced by a cunning smile, as radiant as it was malicious.

She raised her head slowly, her eyes shining mockingly.

"I see~" she said, with a tone that made him feel as if he were about to be punished. "So you actually wanted to see me wearing stockings again... Why didn't you say it directly instead of inventing such a silly excuse?"

His cheeks burned instantly betraying his facade, so he crossed his arms in an attempt to redouble his stubbornness.

"This is just a quality test," he insisted maintaining his gaze fixed. "I just want to make sure they aren't lying to me about their specifications."

"Yes, yes, a test." Jennifer laughed, taking out a pair of stockings, the white one, feeling the quality with a knowing touch.

"So, which of the three colors do you want me to analyze first in this... test?"

He swallowed. "You decide."

"How boring~" she joked, although the glint in her eyes said the exact opposite. "Then, let's start with the white. Something new, don't you think?"

Holding the box and the stockings, she turned around making her white shirt wave slightly to offer a fleeting glimpse of her hidden body. Upon walking toward her bedroom she swayed her hips deliberately, making sure that he had a perfect view just before disappearing behind the door.

"Wait a moment," came her seductive voice from inside. "The tester will be ready right away for the inspection."

"Sigh..."

He let himself fall onto the sofa, feeling the hot air.

Time stretched, becoming slow... He could hear sounds from the bedroom and with that the anticipation grew.

A few more minutes passed that felt eternal.

Then, a sound broke the stillness.

Click

The bedroom door opened, but barely a few inches, creating a line of dark shadow.

And a leg emerged.

A foot settled on the carpet, followed by an ankle and an endless calf wrapped in an immaculate white.

The fabric of the stockings was of a milky and subtle transparency that trapped the light, creating a satin sheen over the curve of her leg.

Jennifer turned her foot slightly, tensing the arch, allowing Lief to absorb the image.

The door finished opening and she appeared.

She was wearing the same white shirt, but now the garment seemed to have taken on a different intention.

The hem grazed dangerously the upper part of her thighs, suggesting much more than what it hid.

But it was those legs that stole the breath.

The white stockings adhered to the skin, compressing gently the flesh to delineate an exquisite firmness, sculpting her muscles with a precision that made her silhouette look longer, more slender and devastatingly smooth.

"..."

He felt his throat go dry, Lief could not look away.

A reaction that Jennifer noticed instantly, drawing a small smile on her lips.

Far from rushing, she began to walk toward him with a deliberate slowness.

She advanced barefoot, sinking her feet into the soft carpet, allowing her hips to mark a hypnotic rhythm, a soft pendulum that swayed her hips from one side to the other.

Every step became an invitation that struck directly at Lief's racing pulse...

She maintained eye contact at all times, visibly enjoying how his pupils dilated upon following the path of her legs until where they were lost under the fabric of her shirt.

Upon arriving in front of him she leaned forward allowing gravity to open slightly the shirt and, with a crushing confidence, rested both hands on Lief's knees to leave him trapped between the backrest of the sofa and her body.

Her scent wrapped around him suddenly like an intoxicating fragrance that clouded his senses, and with their faces a few inches apart she lowered her voice until converting it into a sensual whisper while her fingers squeezed gently his thighs through the pants.

"Master~..." she purred. "Has the test begun?"

She made a deliberate pause and tilted her head so that a lock of hair fell on his cheek before continuing with her gaze locked on his mouth.

"Tell me the truth. Is it working? Or do I need to try harder to capture all your attention?"

The intense closeness of Jennifer, the scent she gave off, together with the vision of her leaning body, made Lief have to cling mentally to composure.

He swallowed, trying so that the sound did not give away the knot in his throat. His gaze fixed inevitably on the tempting length of the legs before him.

"Ahem..." he cleared his throat, feeling his voice rasp. He tried desperately to sound analytical. "From the visual point of view, it is undeniably striking. The choice of white on the skin creates a contrast... excellent."

He paused, searching for the exact words, the ones that did not make him sound like an animal. "The material also looks considerably soft. Very... elastic."

Jennifer's smile turned more playful while her eyes shone with mischief.

"Just looking is not enough, Lief~" her tone was a mixture of seduction and soft reprimand. "The test, of course, must be a little more exhaustive, don't you think? If we do not go deeper, how could you draft a precise 'results report'?"

While she pronounced those words she broke the scarce distance that still separated them and raised gently her left leg to place it on Lief's right thigh.

!

The white fabric that wrapped her skin brushed dangerously his hand, resting on the cushion, while she observed him from above with the shirt cascading around her in a pose of dominance…

"Here you go, master" she whispered bringing her foot even closer, with the tip pointing toward his crotch, "You can... inspect the material personally."
