The bike stopped at a spot and they both came down. She took off the helmet, "Ryan, where is this place?" she asked, as she looked around. She could barely see a soul. He took her hand and walked her down a sloppy path, and then into a buckwheat field.
"Wow.... There's buckwheat everywhere" she exclaimed with her hand over her mouth as she looked around. "But why are we here?"
"I want to show you something" he said.
"What's that?" he didn't reply her question but instead pulled her to a bench and made her sit. She looked around. "There's nothing here except buckwheat. Wow...and there's so much fresh air." she smiled brightly "But what is it that you want to show me?"
"Be patient, Aria. Just wait a little" he told her. She let out a deep sigh, and looked forward. And then she clung onto his arm and rested her head on his shoulder.
"How long do I have to wait?" she mumbled "I'm getting restless" Ryan looked at his wristwatch and began counting.
"Five, four, three, two, one... Look up Aria"
"Eh?" he lifted her head and made her look at the sky.
"Gosh!" she exclaimed, already on her feet, her eyes wide, her hands covering mouth. She blinked repeatedly, exclaiming again. "It's a meteor shower. Oh, oh...it's so beautiful" she cupped her face. "Ah...my heart. So beautiful, so beautiful..."she squealed and looked around the sky, her eyes twinkling. She was overwhelmed by the shimmers of the stars grazing through, and the moonlight in the dark sky. Her eyes had long turned crescents as she watched the shower. Ryan smiled at her exclamations, and a soft wind blew passed them. Blowing away the flowers of the plants.
"Oh.." she breathed, as she kept turning here and there. This is so beautiful, and romantic. She hurriedly went to sit with Ryan. "Did you do this?" she asked.
"What makes you think I can?"
She smiled silly, "well, you must know how to do things like this right?" her eyes fluttered.
"I didn't do this" he replied.
"But, how did you what time it would happen? Ah...you're so cool!" she exclaimed again and he chuckled. Her eyes went back to watch the sky, while he just gazed at her. Seeing her smiles made him happy. Her smiles are so beautiful, warm and soothing. He saw her glow as the moonlight caressed her skin. Her angelic beauty radiated , causing him to be loss off breath. His heart thudded against his chest, and the wind blew her hair away. Damn! Why she so beautiful? She's the best thing that has happened to him. His once miserable life was now something filled with love and happiness because of her. She became his world and meant everything to him. Damn! He loves her so much.
Another meteor grazed through the sky as Aria watched it. "Ah...there's another one. I should make plenty wishes" she joined her palms together and closed her eyes, looking up to the sky. She made her wish, which Ryan heard clearly.
'Shooting star, I wish that, for the rest of my life, I would always be with Ryan. We would always be together and nothing would separate us. I wish I would be the only one he would love even if I die. I wish we would spend many happy moments together under a beautiful sky like this. I also wish that, his pain would end through me one way or the other. I don't want any woman beside him, because I'm very selfish and possessive. I don't want to share my guardian with anyone. He's only meant for me. I want to spend my whole life with him, forever'
His heart knocked harder and slowly in his chest as he heard her make her wish. He could hardly blink, a statue he became. His eyes sting, but there weren't red neither did they brew any tears. It only brewed love, directed towards her. She had opened her eyes after making her wish and looked at him while smiling brightly. But he just stared, and she looked down, blushing. It caused his heart to skip a beat, maybe two, or even three. She's so cute!
Aria looked back up at the sky to avoid his gaze, and another meteor came. "Ah.. Ryan you should make a wish too" she told him, and he finally looked down. And then he took her hand in his and she didn't know why, but her heart started racing.
"I... I wish.. that moments like this between us... would never end. And we would... always be together" he said, as he gazed deeply in her eyes. Piercing through her soul. Her cheeks turned faint red. Why did he have to say it loud?
"Aria..." he uttered her name, like he was worshipping the goddess in front of him. He hands went to her cheek and he stroked it gently "Aria.." he uttered again and she slightly bit her lips. Her lashes fluttering as her heart raced a thousand miles slower. "I... Aria, I.." he bit his lips, the words felt heavy and foreign. He didn't know how to say it. He didn't think he ever needed a mental preparation for these three words he never said to anyone. He thought he could easily say it. Tell her how much he loves her, but damn it was hard. He needed courage, as much as possible. More more mental preparation to say those words which seemed easy. Once he has prepared himself enough, he would say those words to her, everyday. But for now, he can't say it. So he just leaned forward and kissed her lips. She sucked in a long line of air when his lips pressed softly on hers.
His kiss was slow and too soft, like it was the first time he was doing it. His other hand held her cheek and pulled her closer gently. Her eyes closed, her hands rested on the sides of his torso. She felt the difference in this kiss. It was like..he was conveying his love to her in this way. His kiss spoke those words. She felt a wave of feeling surge through her. She couldn't understand what it was. But it was a bit deeper than what she feels whenever he kisses her. Oh...this man affects her too much!
She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back, with his same slow pace. They kissed for a little while before he pulled away, letting his hot breath caress her faint red face. He lifted his eyes and looked at her, she just kept hers closed, while breathing slowly through her mouth. And then she fluttered her eyes open. Unable to bear his hot gaze, she hugged him tight, feeling the forever warmth of his body. He hugged her too, his fingers entangling in her soft hair. She bit her lips to stop herself from smiling crazily while
her eyes twinkled.
