PART 9 — "Future Declaration"
The door slid open.
The room went quiet.
Haruto and Ayame stood at the entrance.
"Sorry for being late."
Ayame spoke calmly.
All eyes turned.
Kaito straightened slightly.
Daigo looked at them for a moment—
then nodded.
"…Come in."
They walked in.
Calm.
Composed.
But noticed.
Haruto and Ayame stepped into the classroom.
For a brief moment—
all eyes turned.
The room was already settled.
Seats arranged in their usual order.
Front rows—
Hina and Daichi sat together.
Izumi alone beside them.
Kaito with Misaki on the other side.
Behind them—
Naoko sat quietly on a single seat.
Ayame's seat just beside—empty until now.
Further back—
Haruki and Sanae sat together.
Arashi and Riku beside them.
And on the far side—
Haruto's seat… next to Amaya.
Last rows—
Tetsu alone across one side.
Souta and Yuna together behind.
Raizo and Shin sharing the wider bench at the back.
Ayame moved first.
Calm.
She walked to her seat and sat down quietly.
No noise.
No attention drawn.
Haruto followed.
He took his place beside Amaya.
A brief glance passed between them—
but no words.
Kaito, from the front row, turned slightly.
Watching.
Something felt off.
Not obvious—
but there.
Daigo's voice broke the silence.
"…As I was saying."
A pause.
His gaze moved across the class—
then settled briefly on the two who had just entered.
"…Since you've just arrived…"
A small pause.
"…You can start."
The room stilled.
Focus shifted.
And just like that—
the attention of the entire class landed on them.
Daigo stood at the front of the classroom, the room already settled into silence.
"…Before we begin today's training…"
His gaze moved across the students.
"…I want you to think about your future."
A pause.
"…Not just strength."
"…Not just ranks."
"…But where you see yourself in this system."
The words lingered for a moment.
Some students straightened slightly.
Others stayed quiet, thinking.
Daigo continued calmly.
"…Because one day, this academy won't define you."
"…Your position will."
Silence deepened.
Then—
Haruto raised his hand.
Without hesitation.
Daigo nodded slightly.
"…Haruto."
Haruto looked forward.
"…I'll become the strongest Enkage."
The room shifted instantly.
A few subtle reactions.
But no chaos.
Just attention locking in.
Souta leaned back first, breaking the tension slightly with a grin.
"…Then I'll become an Elder."
A lazy shrug.
"…Guess I'll take orders from Enkage."
Arashi let out a small breath, calm and certain.
"…Then I'll stand right there with you."
Not behind.
Not ahead.
Just there.
Kaito tilted his head slightly, eyes sharp with interest.
"…Then I'll work from the shadows."
A faint smirk.
"…Enka suits me better anyway."
Ayame spoke next, steady and composed.
"…Then I'll stand where decisions are made."
A pause.
"…Right beside Enkage."
Amaya followed quietly.
"…Then I'll handle the system behind everything."
Izumi adjusted her posture, calm as always.
"…I'll make sure nothing collapses while you all move forward."
Misaki's voice was softer.
"…Then I'll make sure we don't lose anyone on the way."
Yuna added gently.
"…I'll support wherever I'm needed."
The room settled again.
Different paths.
Same direction.
Daigo observed them for a moment longer.
Then turned slightly.
"…Good."
Daigo stood at the front of the class, watching both groups now settled in their thoughts.
A brief silence lingered after Class 1's declarations.
Then—
his gaze shifted.
"…Class 2."
The atmosphere changed slightly.
Different energy.
Raizo leaned forward first.
"…I'll come up with the ideas that decide how things end."
Shin gave a small nod.
"…Then I'll turn those ideas into reality."
Naoko spoke next, calm but sharp.
"…I'll be the one who breaks through anything in front of me."
Hina followed.
"…I'll become the strongest water style user."
Haruki immediately leaned forward.
"…Hey—no. That's mine. I'll be the strongest water style user."
A faint tension… then a few students looked away, slightly amused.
Sanae spoke softly.
"…I'll master spiritual energy."
Riku added simply.
"…Earth style."
Daichi scratched his head lightly.
"…I'll just become strong enough to stand anywhere."
Tetsu spoke last, quieter than the rest.
"…Shadow style."
Silence followed.
Different paths.
Different ambitions.
Daigo observed them for a moment.
Then exhaled lightly.
"…I see."
A pause.
The class waited for approval—or reaction.
Daigo's voice stayed calm.
"…But I didn't ask what power you want."
The room went quiet again.
"…Power doesn't matter at this stage."
A short pause.
"…What matters is understanding what you are now."
His gaze swept across both Class 1 and Class 2.
"…That will come later."
Another pause.
Then—
"…For now."
He turned slightly toward the board.
"…Let's begin class."
The atmosphere shifted.
Not excitement.
Not rejection.
Just the beginning of something bigger.
