After a hard day of work out in the sun, Erin was looking forward to a quick shower and then to curling up in her cot with a book in hand.
That past week they had been putting in a lot of effort. The weather forecast had predicted that there was a high chance of rain, and they had all been worried about the possibility of flooding making a difficult for them to continue their work. So they had been moving as quickly as possible, while at the same time being extra careful not to damage any of the precious artifacts that they were unearthing.
Luckily for them, the weather forecast had once again changed and they were promised clear skies for the foreseeable future. Erin knew that for most of the people in the country that was bad news. The drought had dragged for far too long and they needed rain. But for the archaeologists, it was mostly a good thing, and though she felt bad about her selfishness. She couldn't feel too bad since it meant that they got to work at a slower pace.
