Chapter 11 - "Her diomonds"

Gabriel suddenly applied the brakes and stopped the car at the very same beach where they had first met.

Meridia looked around, confused.

"Why did you bring me here?"

"Get out of the car," Gabriel said firmly.

"Why?" she asked again.

Without answering, Gabriel stepped out and opened the door on Meridia's side.

"I said, get out. Just once, do as I say."

Reluctantly, Meridia stepped out of the car.

"What is this? We're already late," she said impatiently.

"I need to teach you how to react and how to behave," Gabriel said coldly. "There will be international businessmen there. We have to represent our fashion brand properly."

Meridia stared at him in disbelief.

"Do I look like an animal to you?"

"Don't argue," Gabriel snapped. "Do exactly what I say."

"No. I won't," she replied, her voice trembling with anger.

Gabriel's tone turned harsh.

"You've become so arrogant, haven't you? The moment you found a rich man, you forgot everything."

Meridia's eyes filled with tears.

"What are you even saying?"

"My mother is obsessed with you. Everyone gives you attention," he continued bitterly. "But you— you're proud of your beauty."

Meridia shook her head.

"Why would I be proud of my beauty? I don't want anyone's attention."

"Enough," Gabriel said dismissively. "If I say any more, you'll just call Mom."

"No," Meridia replied softly. "I won't call her. I'm leaving all of you, so that you can finally be free of stress."

Overwhelmed with emotion, Meridia turned and ran.

Gabriel chased after her and caught her from behind, holding her by the waist. At that moment, Meridia's tears began to fall—but as they left her eyes, they transformed into diamonds.

Unaware of what was happening, Meridia continued to sob. Gabriel, stunned, caught the falling diamonds in his hands.

"Please forgive me," he whispered.

Meridia suddenly realized the truth—that her tears were turning into diamonds. Panicked, she quickly moved back toward the car.

Gabriel assumed the diamonds must have fallen from Meridia's gown. Quietly, he slipped them into his pocket, never realizing the true miracle he was holding.
