Soon, everyone gathered around.
Gabriel came running toward them, his breath uneven, his eyes searching only for Meridia.
Meridia's demeanor suddenly changed. The strength she had been holding onto shattered, and emotions flooded her face. She ran to Gabriel, crying uncontrollably, and clung to him.
"I—he misbehaved with me," she sobbed.
"He grabbed my hair and tried to come close to me."
Gabriel's expression darkened instantly. Rage burned in his eyes as he moved to strike Oliver. Meridia tried to stop him, holding his arm tightly, but Gabriel could no longer control himself. He hit Oliver anyway.
Before things could worsen, William and Rafaella rushed forward and restrained Gabriel.
"Call the police," William said firmly.
Moments later, the bodyguards arrived, followed by the police. Oliver was taken away.
William turned to Meridia, his voice gentle yet strong.
"Don't be scared, Meridia. We are all with you."
"Yes, Meridia," Rafaella added softly, holding her close.
"Come, let's go home now," William said.
"No," Gabriel replied suddenly.
Rafaella looked at him, surprised.
"Why?"
"I mean… you all should go home," Gabriel said, glancing at Meridia.
"There's a hotel nearby. Meridia and I will stay there for the night."
Briar—his ex—spoke sharply,
"Why?"
Gabriel looked straight at Meridia, his voice calm but full of emotion.
"Because I want to give time to my love."
Rafaella smiled with quiet approval.
"Very well," she said, turning to William.
"Let's go."
