The press conference for Golden Sunrise Music was a huge success.
Thanks to Domino's many friends in the music world and Eminem's own fame, over 100 reporters from all over America crowded into the room.
Zane sat on the stage, watching the huge crowd of journalists. He felt two things at once: a little bit sad and very, very excited.
He was sad because he realized that after working so hard for two years, he still wasn't as popular as Eminem!
But he was excited because he knew this was just the beginning for his music company. With stars like Eminem and Beyoncé, he knew a lot of money was coming his way.
"Look at all these reporters," Zane thought to himself with a grin. They were all pushing and shoving, and the main event hadn't even started.
Zane was just there to show his support. The real star of the show was Eminem, who was in the center spotlight.
"Eminem! I'm De Clara, a reporter for the Global Times!" a female reporter shouted, pushing her way to the front. "When will your new album be released?"
Before Eminem could even answer, he was buried by other reporters all yelling at once.
"Eminem, look here! Yes, this way! Give us a good pose!"
"Eminem, is it true you wrote ten songs on the new album all by yourself?"
"Eminem! I heard you only won runner-up on 'America's Got Talent' because the show set it up! Is that true? Answer me!"
"Eminem, I'm Michel from Los Angeles Entertainment News! Can I get an interview?"
...
It was chaos! More than 100 reporters meant more than 100 mouths, all shouting at the same time. They didn't care about being polite. They just wanted to be the first to get the big story.
Zane knew this was all part of the show.
In fact, the boss of the music company, Domino, had planned for it to be this chaotic. He wanted to show the world just how popular Eminem really was.
Zane turned and whispered to Kevin Fitch, who was sitting next to him. "Kevin, Domino is a real pro, isn't he? He knows exactly what he's doing."
Kevin Fitch, who was a boss at Zane's movie studio, nodded and smiled. "He sure is. I heard that more than 20 of these reporters are his friends. He asked them to come and stir things up to make the crowd even more excited."
Zane was impressed. "He's smart. He promised them special interviews with Eminem and Destiny's Child later. It's a win-win. They get their story, and we get the hype."
"Tsk tsk," Kevin laughed. "Domino is a master at this. He should be in charge of promotion for the whole company!"
Zane and Kevin smiled at each other. Kevin was here for a reason, too. The new song for their movie The Sixth Sense was written and sung by Eminem! This was a great chance to get the movie's name out there.
Domino's plan was working perfectly. The room was packed and full of energy.
"Quiet! Quiet, everyone!" Domino finally shouted, his voice booming over the noise. "Please, be quiet! Or do you not want the chance to get an interview?"
The room went silent almost instantly.
Of course they wanted an interview! That's how they got paid and earned respect.
Domino stood up, his face full of confidence. "Everyone, welcome to the press conference for Golden Sunrise Music's artist, Eminem. I am your old friend... Nimitz L. Domino!"
...
The press conference was a huge hit. After it was over, the reporters all ran back to their offices to write their stories.
The news about Eminem's new album made his fans very happy. The internet went wild.
LoveToEatPineapple: "I'm so excited! I can't wait!" RapJunior1997: "I love Eminem so much! I'm going to buy 100 copies!" *ussyeatter: "I don't have that much money, but I'm buying it! My wallet is ready!" ImThePrettiest: "Hahaha, my brother works at Golden Sunrise Music. I've already heard two songs! It's SO GOOD!"
In less than a day, there were over 200,000 comments online about the new album. Eminem was officially as popular as any other top singer in America.
All of this excitement made the major music stores very nervous. They all wanted to be the only ones to sell the album.
"Eminem's new album is ours!" yelled Faloni Washington, the owner of a big chain of music stores. "I'm buying the rights for the West Coast. No one else can have it!"
Faloni was a very rich and powerful man. He owned 320 stores.
But this time, the other store owners didn't care who he was.
"Go to hell, Faloni! Why should we let you have it?" one man roared.
"That's right! We were here first!"
"You think you're so special just because you're rich? We're not giving this to you!"
All the store owners started yelling and arguing right in the office.
Domino, the music boss, just watched them fight, a huge, happy smile on his face. The more they fought, the more money his company would make.
In the end, Golden Sunrise Music signed deals with seven different powerful companies to sell the album.
On September 15th, Eminem's new album, "My Name Is," officially hit the stores.
It was a huge hit! Fans bought every copy. In less than half a day, it jumped to Number 1 on the U.S. music charts.
Eminem was now the biggest star in the country.
