Chapter 22 - Chapter 19. Police Faction store

Was Mikael going to allow Silberman to die, the answer was quite simple. No, he was not. Mikael believe Silberman would not die so easily.

This fact was due to Mikael on knowledge of the Terminator Movie world. In that knowledge, he could understand that Silberman was one of if not the luckiest people within the Terminator world.

The fact that he had managed to survive at least three Terminator attacks proved this fact well. His instinctually running away when he sensed danger also showed that he had enough perception to know when to book it when things got to dangerous.

And Mikael had also looked at his stats, which Silberman possessed. And to no surprise to him at all, his luck was quite high.

And this was in fact the main reason Mikael had let Silberman act as their 'bait'. Yes, he had spotted the police car, not something to conspicuous in a neighborhood. Mikael had in fact originally had Silberman's original line of thinking.

Believing it could be a possible neighbor that allowed the Connors family location to be exposed, but intuition was a strange thing. The moment he had seen the police car, Mikael had immediately though otherwise, and proving him right, the police car had indeed come through.

This was why Mikael had first had Silberman knock on the other doors first and then the Connor house last, it was to test the response of the police car. Would it do nothing, would it come after Silberman had knocked on the other doors first or would it come only after he had reached the Connor's house.

There were many possibilities.

The fact this police officer was a machine proved to him something at least, he was on the right track to complete his mission.

But he was still confused why his side mission was still uncompleted. Mikael already knew that this terminator was the reason Sarah Connors location was possible exposed, but was he also supposed to prove it to the system as well to qualify as completed. 'Huhh.' He had an idea brewing already.

Mikael had loaded both the passed-out Silberman as well as the killer T-888 Within his car. It was of some surprise to him to know that the Terminator was of a more advanced model, a T-888, but seeing its stats he knew why.

[Advanced Human Emotion Mimicry]

This ability which allowed it to blend in was truly the next step to Skynet's great infiltration plan. Visually he noticed that the Terminator was not as cold, and stone faced as the others.

He quickly drove away, noticing the opening of windows and doors within the neighborhoods. Mikael already knew this was a country of freedom, so he quickly drove away.

Mikael had returned to the Los Angeles Police Department, his bounty closed within a body bag and a bitter Silberman walking beside him.

The man had woken up insulting him to heavens and Mikael was sure if he could he would have directly jumped from the car. This all Mikael obviously laughed quite humorously at. He did this while patting Silberman back heavily which further infuriated the man.

They arrived at the station and immediately headed into Trexler's office, the other officers looked quite strangely at the development, but they were wise enough to ignore them seeing the two identities were know.

Mikael walked into the door to the same sight of Trexler, looking quite troubled smoking who knew what number of Cigarette. Their entry attracted their attention and Trexler Immediately stood practically jumping over his desk to quickly approach them.

He could see the anticipation within the man's eyes and Mikael immediately opened the body bag revealing the machine within. Trexler's eyes opened wide in terror, he stumbled back slightly but he soon stopped himself quickly regaining his confidence.

"What is this Agent…" Trexler could not continue the sight he was seeing was too shocking for himself to even understand. What truly made Trexler have a mental breakdown was the owner of that face. A face he was quite familiar with!

"Well Mr. Trexler, these right here is a machine. One that I assume managed to kill one of your police officers and replace him, taking over his identity. It's reason and purpose for doing this, I don't know." Mikael did not know if he could go on to tell them about Terminators and what they were, so he simply said as little as possible.

And the mission just needed Mikael to present Trexler with something unnatural enough to complete the mission. The moment he saw how Trexler eyes turned to look at Silberman, a smile came to him. What a truly wonderful coincidence…

"Lieutenant, that thing, it almost killed me… it's a monster!" Silberman started breathing heavily and a panicked look came to him as he recalled the memories from earlier. One gunshot away and he would have been dead.

Trexler studied the look on Silberman's eyes and his dirtied clothes. He himself, despite being a lieutenant was also a detective, so he was also able to easily spot a lie, and from what he could see, Silberman was truly terrified.

The experienced looked to have even given him a form of trauma. Trexler noticed how Silberman kept a noticeable distance from the machine within the body bag and nodded in satisfaction.

"Agent White thank you for doing this. The Los Angeles Department will be willing to support you from this moment onwards." Trexler said a sort of relieved look within his eyes. Mikael also equally smiled along, the notification of the system had also soon arrived.

Trexler then moved quickly, calling in agents to quickly come and take the body bag away. His once dead shallow look had changed to a sort of excitement, he was practically bouncing on his feet as he moved throughout the office with new life to his step.

Mikael seeing the body did not feel much, the thing truly of value from it he had already taken and was now safely stored with him. The body might have been interesting as well but he couldn't win it all.

As Trexler had moved to exit the office, he had handed Mikael a clipboard before bolting away. Mikael did not need to wait long to understand what was happening. This was the interface for the police faction store. The presence of the system's screen only confirmed this.

The least interesting items from the store were guns and other grenades but from what Mikael could see, this items he could get for free himself using his identity, the truly impressive ones were the one he noted.

Back in the hotel room, the one clean room was now a complete mess. Now it was like a scene straight from a late nigh tv murder scene

Machine parts disassembled and thrown in piles of other parts. Wires now lay haphazardly with opened Terminator rested on the floor. There were even Terminators ripped apart, their skins flayed opened drained completely of their internal fluids.

These fluids surprisingly did not stain the room that much, they were safely stored within containers.

It was somewhat of a sight that would make anyone immediately want to call the police. The only downside to this call was the fact that the person who would answer was the one who now stayed within the room.

Sarah was seated watching a show on the TV, but her attention was clearly not there as much as she was pretending. Her eyes would glance every now and then back at the mess that was now the room, at the person who had caused this mess now typing away at the machine he was focused on.

Her actions were of course all within Mikael line of vision, she wasn't even trying to hide that she was looking at what he was doing. Mikael saw the curiosity within her eyes, the need to know more and he was slightly impressed.

He had made the decision to tell her what the Terminators were and what they meant for her future and in spite the fear that she had initially shown, her courage somewhat won over. Instead of retreating her curiosity only grew more interested in his words.

Mikael was impressed only slightly. What made him happier was the system notification that came soon after he had finished his explanation.

How wonderful, just telling a person their future could earn him this amount of Dream Points. Truly the protagonist was the most favored of the world.

Mikael had spent the next couple of hours disassembling the Terminators. Ripping apart their skin overlay was the disgusting part but after that it was smooth sailing.

He unscrewed every bolt, untangled every wires and unclasped every hold in individual joint, by the end of it, Mikael already understood how to make his own Terminator.

The fact that he now possessed more of the nuclear power cells powering the Terminators bodies was an added benefit.

[ADVANCED ENGINEER [PROFICIENCY 42%] + 10

The only downside was the fact this part could not be stored within his storage space, but that was of little importance to Mikael's plans. He already had a bulk of parts from the Memory keys he had acquired from the Terminators.

The memory keys had provided a variety of things. Mostly parts from the Terminators. Mikael believed if he managed to kill enough of them, he would be able to make his own Terminator. The things he would say were actually useful that he had gotten from the now 6 Memory keys were, 3 Neural Net CPU, 2 power cells, two Equip able items, a skill and finally multiple ability chips.

The ability chips could only be used by machines though as they were a form of data within the chips. He also noticed that the NN CPU were wiped clean, completely blank slates. There was other item he could equip but the two were of the best quality, he would probably sell the rest

Something Mikael still found strange was how the loot from the Memory keys worked. He could understand that this loot for instance was taken from the killed subject and then transferred within a memory key, through some means the system or the tower would them give these things stats.

And that was the only difference between the loot from the memory key and the normal items he could pick up. Loot had stats, normal items did not. It was also a difference he had noticed between the people who had stats and those who did not.

For instance, people like Sarah had stats, and a random person he would walk by had none. What exactly did that mean.

Were they just fake people. Background character with no importance at all? Did the fact that people such as Trexler or Silberman mean they were important or were they real.

"Huhh." Why was he getting distracted anyways. He was doing something important, and his mind was still wondering. Mikael was currently looking into the files comprising the T-888 Neural Net CPU.

He had taken the chip out from the Terminator before he gave it to Trexler. And despite the chip itself not having stats, he was able to still bypass its encryption and access the data within it. The still present A.I within it was nothing more than a small bother.

This act had made Mikael understand that apart from the rewards given by the system from the memory keys and blood keys, a Dreamer if they had the capabilities could also get useful information from these worlds. Just as he was doing now with the T-888 chip.

If another Dreamer had this who lacked his capabilities, it would be extremely useless. But now, a treasure trove of information was being exposed to him. He also found it very curious that the chips he had gotten as rewards from the Memory keys had no data at all.

They were all completely blank. Good thing was that Mikael also had the chips from other T-800 as well.

Mikael had been searching for this specifically within the Terminators chip. It's mission command. That was how Terminators were programmed. Each having a specific mission they were designated to complete. This Terminators specific mission was to gather intel on Sarah Connor.

And when he found that info over piles of data was when the side mission was finally accepted as complete.

He continued his search within the data of the Terminator, finding other interesting information. A formula on how to produce the fake organic skin that covered the Terminators bodies, a manual on a Terminators how to self-repair and other data mostly useless.

For instance, Mikael saw a video showing how the Terminator had killed the officer it was impersonating, the video was quite brutal a 10/10 horror movie but it was quite useless if you asked him.

"What are you watching Mikael?" Sarah asked, already moving towards him. Her curiosity had obviously won out in the end.

"Nothing." His laptop slammed shut as he ignored her puffed cheeks. He moved to stand and picked her up in one quick motion as he headed towards the kitchen. Her puffed cheeks disappeared only to be replaced with laughter.

"Now what would you like to eat for supper." He asked casually as he looked over the variety of ingredients.

For now, taking care of Sarah was important. The other issues such as his newly sprouted side mission could be handled tomorrow.

" I want burgers, marshmallows and chocolate!" She shouted, her arms raised excitedly.

"Absolutely not." Mikael replied with an amused smile.
