Chapter 81 - "Level Up: The Rending Silver Hand!"

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Because of my Fourth Incarnation—Camel," Alex said with a grin, "I gained god-tier combat techniques and battle instincts. That pushed my Crown of Martial Arts to a whole new level."

"So that's how it is!" Hestia nodded, her smile growing brighter.

At Alex's current strength, if he went back to Orario now, he could probably march straight over and cut down the Black Dragon—finishing the task that even the Zeus and Hera Familias had failed all those years ago.

"Hold on," Luo Hao suddenly frowned. "Why do you also have the authority of the Black Dragon of the Underworld? That's Woban's authority, isn't it?"

"Three authorities? That's impossible," Hestia said, equally stunned.

"Ahem. I bought it from the chat group's shop,"Alex hurriedly explained.

"The shop sells authorities for five thousand points each," Hestia said skeptically. "Do you really have that many points?"

"After I killed Melqart last night, the system rewarded me with five thousand points," Alex replied.

Both Luo Hao and Hestia sucked in sharp breaths.

Killing a god gave five thousand points?

That temptation was enormous.

There were very few ways to earn points in the chat group. Right now, the only reliable method was daily sign-ins. Even rewards for tasks issued between members came from whatever points people had painstakingly saved up through sign-ins.

The earliest members, who had been signing in since the beginning, still hadn't even reached a thousand points.

Now that the shop was open, everyone wanted to buy things—but no one had the points.

Luo Hao was the first to react. "Then, little brother, did you get points for killing Verethragna today?"

"I'll check," Alex said, immediately pulling up the chat group.

His total points read: 5,620.

"Yeah," he nodded. "I got them."

"Nope, I'm not sitting this out," Hestia declared, jumping to her feet. "I'm going to kill a few Heretic Gods too!"

"And where exactly are you planning to find them?" Luo Hao shot back.

"In the anime plot Alex showed us, there were plenty," Hestia said, counting them off. "Besides Verethragna and Melqart, there's Athena, Perseus, Susanoo, Sun Wukong, Lancelot…"

"Athena can be lured out with the Gorgon Stone. Sun Wukong's sealed in Sakura Country—you can free him by breaking the Pi-Ma-Wen curse. Perseus can be drawn out using a dragon born from leyline energy," Alex said, shaking his head. "But Susanoo hides in the Netherworld, which is a hassle, and Lancelot's always guarding Guinevere, nowhere to be found. Most importantly, our task was completed last night. We're out of time."

The task Luo Hao had issued was simply to slay a god. The moment Alex killed Melqart, it was done.

"Damn it, how did I forget that?" Hestia grumbled, turning to look at Luo Hao, clearly hoping she'd issue another task so they could come back to the Godslayer world.

Luo Hao ignored her completely. From her point of view, the sooner Hestia left, the better—those Heretic Gods would all be hers.

Hestia clenched her teeth in frustration.

Alex could only shake his head helplessly. "I remember that killing the Dead in Saeko's world also gives points. If we want points, we can go there."

Hestia perked up, then immediately remembered something and deflated again. "That won't work. Saeko's in Orario right now. If she hasn't finished her task, she can't go back. And if she can't go back, she can't issue tasks."

"True," Alex said, sighing. "Looks like we'll have to help Saeko level up as fast as possible."

"Enough of that," Luo Hao said. "Level up first."

"Right! I'll handle Alex's upgrade!" Hestia said, pushing Alex down to lie flat.

Next came the familiar process: upgrading his Falna with divine blood.

This time, there was only one special Development Ability available.

Demon King.

Alex didn't hesitate for even a second. He chose it.

Abilities like this were rare. If you saw one, you took it.

The selection was successful. Alex advanced to Level 6.

Luck, Mystery, Divinity, and Godslayer—all four Development Abilities increased by one rank.

At the same time, the effects of Demon King were revealed:

Demon King: Greatly enhances resistance to abnormal states, boosts learning ability, increases all attributes by 10%, and amplifies the power of all spells, magic, and physical attacks by 10%.

After the update was complete, Alex spent another 5,000 points to purchase an authority:

The Rending Silver Hand.

This was the authority of Nuada, the Celtic High King—a terrifying yet deceptively simple power.

When activated, his flesh-and-blood hand transformed into a silver metal arm. Massive curse power wrapped around any weapon he held, granting it miraculous strength—enough to cleave the earth, reshape terrain, or split the sea itself. It was a magic sword with the ability to cut through anything.

The "weapon" didn't even need to be a sword. A toothpick or a tree branch would do.

The essence of the blade was the silver material that formed the metal arm. That silver could create many different magic swords, each with its own properties.

A nine-meter-long greatsword weighing over 300 kilograms.A blade whose sword energy shattered targets instantly.A sword that infused wounds with lingering magic, making them impossible to heal.Slashes that set injuries ablaze—or even caused them to explode.

These magic swords could cut more than physical objects. Gases, liquids, spirits—anything without form could be severed just as easily. Even Verethragna's Golden Sword could be cut apart.

Anything the silver touched could become a "magic sword." Turn light itself into a blade, and you could unleash slashes that extended hundreds of meters. Turn the earth into a blade, and everything within range would be sliced apart.

In the original story, that idiot swordsman even turned meteors from outer space into magic swords. He could activate five to twenty-two of them at will. Dragged down along a set trajectory, their destructive power was enough to shatter an entire continent.

With this authority, and then copying even more weapons through Unlimited Blade Works later on… the combos were going to be absurdly fun.

Noticing the smile on Alex's face, Luo Hao asked, "So, what did you buy this time?"

Alex closed the chat group. "The Rending Silver Hand."

"That idiot sword's authority? Not bad. It really is strong," Luo Hao said, nodding.

Alex now possessed four authorities, all focused on combat.

Lord of the Sky granted flight.Black Dragon of the Underworld ensured his soul could not be destroyed.

Add in martial arts taken to the divine level, plus all kinds of magic and sorcery, and Alex was practically an all-rounder.

He smiled and said to Luo Hao, "Sis, after I leave, I'll have to trouble you to look after the Seven Sisters Alliance."

Luo Hao nodded. "Of course. What about Erica and Liliana? Are you taking them with you?"

After a moment's thought, Alex said, "Yes. I'll bring them along and have them join Hestia Familia. It'll strengthen the Familia, and it'll give them room to grow stronger."

Luo Hao smiled faintly and said nothing more.

She could see it clearly—her little brother's ambitions were huge.

At first, joining Hestia Familia was just a way to grow stronger through the Falna system. Now that he had power, he wanted to use Hestia Familia to build his own foundation.

He'd already sent his three Servants into the Familia. Now he was adding Erica and Liliana too.

Hestia really was a full-on tool goddess.

Alex summoned Erica and Liliana.

The two women stood respectfully before him, waiting for his orders.

With little time left before departure, Alex didn't bother with pleasantries. "I intend to train both of you. But this involves my greatest secret. If you learn it, it must stay buried forever. You cannot tell anyone, and you cannot betray me. If you can't accept that, you can back out now."

Hearing the seriousness in his voice, the two exchanged a glance.

Without hesitation, they spoke in unison. "We can."

"Good," Alex said. "The secret is this: I'm not from your world. I'm about to return to my own world, and I plan to take you with me. I'll train you there and make you stronger."

Erica and Liliana stared at him, eyes wide with disbelief.

The Seventh Godslayer… was actually from another world?

Erica recovered first. "My king, does Archbishop Luo know about this?"

Alex nodded. "Of course. Without my sister, I wouldn't have been able to come to this world at all."

Liliana asked next, "My king… will we be able to come back?"

"Yes," Alex said. "You will."

That was enough to make both of them gasp.

Another world—an actual isekai. To think they'd get to experience something straight out of a light novel.

"My king, we're willing!" they said without hesitation.

"Good," Alex said with satisfaction. "Go pack your things. I'll be waiting."

They hurried off, gathering their belongings as fast as possible and saying goodbye to their families, claiming they were leaving on a long trip.

An hour later, they returned to Alex.

By then, the final moment had arrived.

Alex, Hestia, and Esdeath chose to return.
