Chapter 2 - Ordinary Day of Kyle Rias - 1

"Ahhhhhhh~" A lazy yawn resounded throughout the empty office floor.

A black-haired youth, fair-skinned, with sharp eyes and reddish-pink lips, stood up from his chair. His drowsy eyes darted over the dark office floor, devoid of any human presence. Then he looked at the clock on the wall.

12:58:43

"Hah~" A defeated sigh let out of his mouth. "I just poured a cup of coffee on the boss's favorite shirt gifted by his girlfriend, and that was by accident! You don't have to be so cruel to me for an entire month."

Grumbling to himself, he walked out of the office. Coming down from the lift all alone, his eyes met the empty reception hall. Arriving before the desk, he saw the attendance list open. He picked up the pen and signed beside his name.

Kyle Rias.

Afterward, Rias left the office building just to see the security guard dozing off on his job. Shaking his head in disappointment, he quietly passed through him without making a noise.

Fortunately, there were a few people on the bus on his way home. He felt having some people beside him might elevate his mood a little.

Unfortunately, nothing goes as he wants.

There was only one woman on the bus, and to her right sat two men with piercings on their eyes, nose, and ears.

Not satisfied with just staring at her, they began harassing her and forcing their way on her.

Rias, watching this from the back, thought to himself. 'Is the driver going to do something? I don't want to get hurt."

Fortunately, the driver was brave enough to stop the bus and confront these harassers.

Seeing their tense verbal arguments and getting physical little by little, Rias took off his coat and let it rest on his seat.

Rias came behind one of them unnoticed and quickly locked his left arm on that harasser's neck, choking him tightly. Then Rias began punching him in the face.

The other harasser finally reacted, turning back to help his friend. "You motherfucker!!"

However, the driver didn't give him the chance as he began brawling with him.

Rias saw the harasser in his arm had his face bloodied and lost consciousness. So Rias finally let him go, letting the body slump on the floor.

Unbeknown to Rias, he had a big grin on his face. With the flickering lights and the blood on Rias's face, it made him look like a killer from a detective show.

Leading to the scared girl being further terrified as continuous tears began to roll down her face.

Later he joined with the driver to beat the other harasser into pulp and dump the pair on the road.

After this small drama, Rias finally arrived at his home. It was a small apartment in a two-story building.

As Rias walked up the stairs, he met a small boy crying in the corner. The door beside his, which was his neighbor's, had continuous sounds of screaming and cursing coming out, sometimes even something breaking.

Rias stood before the boy and asked. "Nathan, what's wrong?"

Nathan looked up and saw Rias through his blurry eyes. Nathan didn't care about the blood or Rias's gloomy face. Nathan burst forth and hugged Rias's legs. Then Nathan started venting, letting out everything from his heart. "Brother, Dad… Dad is drunk again. Sob Sob Because you always save us, he became very angry today. Super… super angry. So… so he began beating Mommy again from the afternoon. Please… Please save Mommy."

Rias brushed Nathan's head and promised with a smile. "Of course, I will. You just wait right here and do not cry. Brother will be back."

Nathan nodded his head and started to wipe away the tears on his face, even using his dirty shirt.

Rias came before the door that was the source of Nathan's suffering. Rias opened the door as he always did every night. But what Rias saw today made him freeze.

Rias saw Nathan's mom lying on the floor lifeless with tears still visible in her eyes. Her clothes were torn, with numerous cuts, and her face was deformed, yet she still retained the innocence of a young mother. On top of her sat a thin-looking bearded man. He had a rough face with beer and alcohol stains all over his shirt. He still had one bottle of beer in his hand and was cursing loudly.

"It's because of you, bitch! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have lost that gamble! You just tell me to stop gambling, poisoning my mind! I lost all of my skills because of that! I want to see if that boyfriend of yours comes to save you today too! And that kid might be his too, right, whore? Oi, tell me! How many times did that dog fuck you?"

Slap!

A heavy slap fell on Nathan's mother's face. The blood stuck on her mouth once again began to flow out.

Rias closed his eyes, clenching his fists tightly. Rias tried his best to suppress the emotions deep within his heart.

"Look, bitch, your boyfriend has arrived! What are you going to do today? I will let this whore sleep with her boyfriend forever!"

Nathan's dad's shout and provocation let Rias calm down his emotion. Rias let out a deep sigh before finally opening his eyes, devoid of emotion.

Rias looked at Nathan's dad coming toward him wobblingly.

Rias went inside and closed the door. Locking it so that there could be no force that could interfere with him.
