Truth is, this whole thing started because I couldn't find a My Hero fanfic that scratched the particular itch I was looking for. You know how it goes—you want something specific, can't find it, and eventually just sigh and say, "Fine, I'll do it myself." That's basically what happened here. I wanted something that wasn't just a translation, that had a protagonist who would be cool to follow, and a "Gojo Inspired" powerset that works in MHA.
But there's another reason I'm writing this. I'm aiming to enter the Webnovel Spirity Awards in 2026 with an original work, and this plus Demon Seer is my training ground. Several writers I respect have used fanfiction as a way to hone their craft before diving into original publishing, and I figured—why not? It's a chance to work on character voice, pacing, world-building (though Horikoshi-sensei did the heavy lifting there), and getting comfortable with writing regular updates.
