Chapter 25 - Chapter 24: Carrying the Loot Back to Town, Astonishing Everyone

He squeezed the two skill scrolls in his hands with a little force, and they instantly shattered. A flash of yellow and white light shot straight into his body.

When the glow faded, Su Mo's status panel finally displayed the names of two new skills.

"Hahaha! I've got skills now too. I can finally stop swinging my saber like a madman,

Hahahaha! Watch me—Mountain Collapse and Earth Split!"

[Boom!]

With the Horse-cutting Saber in his hand, he swung it forward with force. A conical ripple spread outward, shattering the ground everywhere it passed, only stopping once it reached twenty meters away.

After using the skill, Su Mo's stamina instantly dipped. He figured that with his 87 Constitution Attribute, he could cast it at most eight times in quick succession.

Still, looking at the damage he'd dealt with just one skill, Su Mo felt it was kind of underwhelming.

Other people probably cared more about linear damage, since they had teammates.

But Su Mo was a lone wolf—what he wanted was bigger area damage.

If the attack had a circular range, he could just stand in place, slash the ground, and all the monsters nearby would be toast!

After testing the first skill, Su Mo moved on to try the second skill—Destructive Strike!

As a white light flashed around Su Mo, his Strength Attribute shot up from 1008 to 3024 in an instant.

One slash, and the entire ground trembled. A crack more than 300 meters long and over 100 meters deep appeared in front of him.

Su Mo, who always feared his DPS wasn't enough, finally lifted his head in triumph.

He figured, if he entered this dungeon again, a single strike would leave the Duke of Furious Fang half dead—hell, maybe even kill it outright.

Using this to fight bosses? Way too satisfying!

When he was done experimenting, Su Mo had the Horse-cutting Saber in his left hand, the Duke's Battleaxe in his right, his leather armor stowed away in his space, and the eight-meter long Duke's Fang slung over his shoulder as he headed straight out of the dungeon.

Outside—two hours had passed since Su Mo entered the dungeon. Most people who'd watched him go in by now figured he was dead inside, and talk about him was fading.

Most folks weren't even paying attention anymore. With so many people coming and going every day, plenty die in these dungeons, it's not rare at all.

But when Su Mo showed up in Wild Boar Forest, left hand gripping a saber, right hand an axe, and with a giant eight-meter boar fang over his shoulder, everyone was stunned.

A nearby Awakened, trying to flag down customers, stared at the wild boar fang almost poking him in the face, stumbled backwards and cried out:

"What the hell is that thing?"

"No clue, this dude just popped up outta nowhere. Did he just come out of the dungeon?"

"I bet that's a dungeon item, but what's with him carrying it out in the open? Even if it's a little long, you could totally just put it away."

People figured that you had to be at least level 18 or 19 to make it here, lots of folks were even level 20.

And once you hit level 10, your system space expands from one cubic meter to ten.

Even the Duke's Fang could fit inside, no problem.

"Wait, this guy carrying that thing looks kinda familiar."

"Weren't you just talking about him? Isn't that the guy who soloed the hell-level dungeon…"

At this point, the speaker paused, then suddenly shouted, even screeched: "He soloed the hell-level dungeon and actually made it out alive!"

The folks who hadn't cared before instantly snapped their heads over at the commotion.

"Who? Who? Who actually soloed a hell-level dungeon?"

"No way, are you saying this kid cleared hell-level Wild Boar Forest by himself?"

"Exactly! And he's still wearing the Celestial City High School uniform too. This year's students should've just awakened, right? Just awakened students…"

"Shut up, who says wearing a school uniform means you just awakened? Don't you know there are some…"

He lowered his voice at the end, leaned in and whispered something to the other guy, who then had an "aha, I get it" look on his face.

"Holy shit, who's this badass dude, solo-clearing a hell-level dungeon!"

"This is the advancement dungeon Wild Boar Forest! I heard there's a golden boss in hell-level—something called the Boar Duke, its stats are nuts."

"For real? I've never even seen a golden boss before."

"Why ask me? It's not like I've seen a golden boss. If you wanna see one, simple—go try a hell-level dungeon yourself and you'll see."

"You want me to go look at the golden boss? You wanna get me killed?"

"Dude, you really cleared hell-level Wild Boar Forest?"

"Bro, you picked hell-level difficulty just now, right? I didn't get it wrong?"

"Boss, please carry me! I'll pay a million if you take me through hell-level dungeon!"

......

Su Mo, freshly out of the dungeon, was still totally confused, surrounded by a noisy crowd.

After taking a moment to clear his mind, he more or less figured out what was going on.

Still, he didn't have time for these people—he was in a hurry to go deal with all this loot.

The leather armor could be sold, but it was small, didn't take up much space, so he just threw it in his backpack—not urgent.

The fang and the axe were seriously getting in the way, though.

Su Mo ignored everyone, hefted the massive wild boar fang and headed toward Celestial City.

A huge crowd followed, some trying to hand him water, others offering to wipe his sweat, all getting flat-out rejected by Su Mo.

There was Su Mo, carrying an eight-meter boar fang, marching forward, with a massive train of people behind him.

Su Mo had barely walked two miles before the news that someone had soloed the hell-level Wild Boar Forest dungeon spread like wildfire to Celestial City.

At the gate of Celestial City High School, two old men with white hair and beards, accompanied by eight well-dressed youths, were chatting with Principal Wang at the security office.

Suddenly, a phone rang. One of the old gents smiled apologetically, stepped aside to take the call.

But after the call, his face turned dark, then quickly shifted back to a kindly smile as he looked at the other old man and said:

"Well well, Old Lin, you've really been keeping secrets."

The one called Old Lin looked totally baffled: "What? Old Zhang, what are you talking about? Just say it straight—what did I hide?"

"Still pretending, huh? You're pretty good at it, but I just got news—

a student in a Celestial City High School uniform solo-cleared hell-level Wild Boar Forest dungeon.

If it's not someone from your Lin family, it must be someone from my Zhang family!"
