Goku looked at Turles calmly.
"Tell me—how do we recover the Spirit Tree seeds? Maybe I'll give you a chance. It all depends on whether you can seize it, Turles."
The veins on Turles' forehead bulged. He knew Goku was trying to squeeze information out of him.
But he also knew that if he said nothing, he had no chance of survival.
Turles didn't want to die. As long as he could stay alive, he might one day turn things around.
Even if he had to endure humiliation now, he told himself he had to survive.
Taking a deep breath, Turles finally said, "Once the Spirit Tree absorbs all of a planet's energy and matures, if all the fruits are picked, it will slowly wither and return to seed form."
"So that's how it works," Goku muttered. Now he understood.
Each ripe fruit contained the energy of the planet itself. Once picked, the planet was completely drained, left for dead.
The Spirit Tree was truly evil—devouring worlds until nothing remained.
But Goku didn't care about that. His only goal was to grow stronger.
He slowly raised his arm and aimed it at Turles.
Terrified, Turles shouted, "Wait, Kakarot! I told you everything! Why do you still want to kill me?"
"Turles," Goku replied calmly, "you've traveled the universe for so long, and you still don't understand something this simple?"
"Damn you!" Turles roared, his aura exploding as he charged. "I'll kill you, Kakarot!"
He had been mocked and toyed with long enough. Even if it was reckless, he couldn't back down.
But Goku only shook his head.
"It's a pity, Turles. You're far too weak. Disappear."
With that, he fired an energy blast. It struck Turles head-on, erasing him instantly before he could even scream.
To Goku, killing Turles was nothing more than routine.
He flew up to the Spirit Tree and casually plucked one of its fruits.
The red fruit pulsed with energy. Without hesitation, Goku bit into it.
At once, power surged through his body. His strength rose slightly—not a huge leap, but noticeable.
"Hmm. That boosted my combat power by about a million," Goku noted with a smile. "Not bad. The Spirit Tree fruit really is incredible. Strength without effort."
He reached for another fruit and ate it.
But this time, the effect was smaller—around twenty to thirty thousand less than the first.
There were thirty-one fruits in total. By the time Goku was done, only four remained.
Each fruit's effect lessened, until the last ones barely gave him a hundred thousand increase each.
Holding the four remaining fruits, Goku said, "I'll take these back for Chi-Chi, Bulma, and the others. For me, eating more won't make much difference."
As soon as the last fruit was picked, the Spirit Tree began to wither.
Its massive trunk and branches shriveled rapidly until only a single seed fell from its core.
Goku caught the seed, then used Instant Transmission to return to Earth.
In an instant, he was back at Bulma's home in West City.
Inside, Chi-Chi and Bulma were caring for his daughter, Sunbura.
When they saw Goku suddenly appear, both women ran up to him with excitement.
"Goku, you're back!" Chi-Chi cried.
"Yeah," Goku grinned, happy to see his wives.
He handed each of them a Spirit Tree fruit. "Eat these. They'll give you the strength you've always dreamed of."
"Really? Just eating this fruit will make me stronger?" Chi-Chi asked, stunned.
Bulma was just as shocked. "Goku, did you go on this whole journey just to bring these back?"
"Yes," Goku replied simply.
Trusting him completely, the two women each bit into their fruit.
Instantly, their bodies exploded with energy.
The once ordinary Chi-Chi and Bulma were transformed into powerful warriors, their combat power surging past one million.
The two looked at their hands in disbelief.
Bulma gasped, "Chi-Chi… it's real! I can feel this enormous power inside me!"
Chi-Chi nodded, equally stunned. "Me too. Incredible… just one fruit, and I've become this strong?"
