Since the invasion of Earth by King Cold and Cooler, peace had briefly returned.
During this time, the Z Warriors continued training in an orderly manner.
Goku trained as well, but instead of pushing recklessly for more power, he took a steady and cautious approach.
His base strength had already reached incredible heights. Pushing it further required not just effort, but smarter methods and techniques.
One day, while Goku was resting at home, King Kai's voice rang directly in his mind!
"Goku! There's something I need you to take care of."
"What's wrong, King Kai? Why are you suddenly contacting me now?" Goku asked, confused.
If King Kai was reaching out, then it had to be something serious.
King Kai explained, "A group of invaders is using the seeds of the Spirit Tree to drain resources from various planets.
They've now entered the Milky Way. I need your help to deal with them. Otherwise, countless planets in this galaxy will be destroyed."
"I see!" Goku replied firmly. "Tell me where they are, King Kai. I'll use Instant Transmission to get there right away."
Meanwhile, aboard a spaceship entering the Milky Way...
The one leading the charge was none other than Turles, the Saiyan who carried the Spirit Tree seed.
A subordinate bowed respectfully. "Lord Turles, our ship has entered the Milky Way."
Turles nodded, his expression serious. "I hear there's someone on Earth who managed to kill King Cold and Cooler. Quite impressive."
Another follower added nervously, "Master Turles, I heard he's a Super Saiyan. That's how he defeated Frieza, King Cold, Cooler, and the others in succession."
"Super Saiyan?" Turles' eyes narrowed with interest. "So the legend might be true after all?"
As a Saiyan himself, he couldn't help but wonder: why could this Kakarot transform into a Super Saiyan, while he could not?
But Turles wasn't reckless. He understood his limits.
"We won't head to Earth directly," he ordered. "We'll drain other planets first. Once we gather enough power from the Spirit Tree, then I'll crush this so-called Super Saiyan."
Under Turles' command, his legion landed on another planet.
His men examined the soil and reported, "The soil here isn't the best, but it should be able to grow Spirit Tree fruit."
Turles smirked. That was good enough. As long as the fruit grew, his strength would skyrocket.
But just as he stepped out of the spaceship, a figure appeared before him out of thin air.
Turles froze, instantly recognizing him.
"Kakarot," Turles sneered.
"Turles, so you know me," Goku replied with a calm smile.
Turles' eyes narrowed. "You already know about me too. Then it's true—you're the Super Saiyan!"
Goku didn't deny it, and that silence was all the answer Turles needed.
Turles' expression darkened. He hadn't consumed the Spirit Tree fruit yet.
Facing a Super Saiyan now would be suicide. He needed time.
"Hold Kakarot off!" Turles shouted to his men. While they stalled, he would plant the Spirit Tree seeds.
To him, his followers' lives meant nothing.
But Goku only said casually, "Turles, don't be so nervous. I'll even give you the chance to plant your Spirit Tree. Don't let me down."
"Damn you, Kakarot!" Turles roared, furious at being mocked. "There's a limit to how much you can look down on me!"
His legion charged at Goku, but to Goku, they were nothing but ants.
With effortless punches and strikes, he cut them down one by one in seconds.
Turles watched, his heart pounding faster and faster.
