"Cassandra passes, next up for voting is Vilatia Grindelwald." Harry said again.
It was still unanimously passed, even Draco reluctantly raised his hand because he didn't want to openly offend Vivi, that terrifying woman.
He had personally experienced how Vivi dealt with the Slytherin classmates and deeply understood just how terrifying the transfer student was.
"Since it's all unanimously passed, let's applaud and welcome these two ladies to our team."
With that, Harry started to clap, and everyone followed suit with cheers.
Hermione's cheers were the loudest; she was a complete fan of Grindelwald.
Of course, it was Vivi the Grindelwald, not the one who failed and got locked up like a parrot caged.
"The holiday is over, and this is our first Dueling House event of the new term." Harry said cheerfully, "To see if anyone has neglected their dueling skills, I think everyone should form pairs for dueling. Alright—let's start pairing."
The two headstrong women gave Harry face, standing up simultaneously as he finished speaking.
"Come on, Grindelwald." Cassandra stood up eagerly and said, "Let us, the two seniors—upperclassmen, demonstrate for everyone, how about that?"
Everyone sat up straight, they had all heard about how Miss Grindelwald suppressed Slytherin, but didn't really know how terrifying the process was.
And this Miss Malfoy, obviously wasn't a simple one either...
"Alright." Vivi stood up, taking out her magic wand from her coat: "We should step aside a bit, so as not to hurt the students, don't you think?"
The two of them went together to the center of the Dueling Platform inside the Room of Requirement, which was spacious, just as Harry had envisioned, expanding the size of the platform.
At least it was as big as a basketball court, Harry estimated.
Cedric and others eagerly came to the surroundings of the dueling field, sitting on the chairs that emerged in the Room of Requirement.
"Harry, you're the referee."
Vivi turned to Harry and said.
Harry confidently stepped forward, cleared his throat, and said: "Alright, then get ready!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
With the words done, both women raised their magic wands together and simultaneously recited their spells.
"Expelliarmus!"
Two beams of red light shot out from the tips, tangled together, and vanished into the air.
Cassandra moved swiftly, her wrist deftly twisted twice, and an empty chair instantly transformed into several large snakes, roaring as they charged towards Vivi.
Vivi guided the chair turning it into a barrel of explosives, tossed it into the snake heap, and then swung another barrel of explosive transformed chair towards Cassandra.
"Vera Verto!"
Cassandra turned the barrel into a little white mouse, squeaking as it landed on the ground.
She cast several more red spells again, tossing them in Vivi's direction.
Vivi blocked those spells with reinforced Iron Armor Spell, squeezing in two Stupefied spells in retaliation, the first collided in mid-air, the second spell hit Cassandra who was on the ground.
"Got it!" Hermione subconsciously shouted.
However, Vivi didn't celebrate; instead, she turned cautiously.
As expected, Cassandra had appeared behind Vivi at some point.
"Depulso!"
The spell grazed past Vivi's hair, and as one spell couldn't accomplish anything, Cassandra added an Inflating Curse.
"I suggest you use this spell on yourself, Cassandra." Vivi said lightly, flicking her wand to deflect the spell, "Look at you—already sixteen, still so flat, how does that work? A straight line drawn by me is more curvaceous than you..."
"At least I'm not shameless like you, Grindelwald." Cassandra transformed the chairs behind Vivi into fully armed knight armors, charging with swords towards Vivi: "I just hope you can focus your energy on studying rather than wreaking havoc on some underaged kids..."
Upon hearing Cassandra's words, everyone turned to look at Harry.
"What are you looking at me for?" Harry scratched his head and asked, "Is there something on my face?"
"They're obviously talking about you, mate," Ron whispered.
Hearing Ron's words, everyone nodded together.
Everyone knew what Cassandra meant by "endangering young children" — because they'd occasionally see Vivi holding Harry, just like holding a child...
This wasn't a secret at Hogwarts either.
"Expelliarmus!"
Vivi used a Disarming Spell to disarm all the knight armors, throwing their weapons at the knights' necks.
While doing all this, she even had the capacity to use Armor Protection to block Cassandra's spell and counterattack with a quick Stupefied Spell.
"Looks like you're not so formidable, Grindelwald," Cassandra sneered, directing a lightning bolt towards Vivi, "I thought you were an insurmountable mountain—"
The lightning obliterated itself against Vivi's shield, while at the same time, the thunder on Vivi's shield started crackling, forming a barrier of lightning.
"Thunder Shield, not a bad concept," Cassandra commented positively for once, as a water dragon suddenly spewed from her wand.
The water dragon hit Vivi's shield, but Vivi suddenly left the ground and floated into mid-air.
Cassandra's following lightning spell hit the ground beside her.
"I've studied physics, and understand some basic common sense, Cassandra," Vivi said with a smile, "Your little tricks don't work..."
Hermione cheered loudly, "Sister Vivi! You're amazing!"
Perhaps this is another form of "learning science and math helps you in all walks of life".
"You truly are a difficult opponent, Grindelwald."
Cassandra's lips curled, but her hands didn't stop, conjuring several giant serpents from the seats, guarding in front of her.
Sure enough, those serpents fell one after another, petrified and motionless.
"You know me, and I know you, Grindelwald," Cassandra said leisurely, "Your Ancient Magic can't be blocked by the shield, but it can be obstructed by objects... but... the game is already over, Grindelwald."
At this moment, Vivi's legs were already entangled by two giant serpents.
"If you admit defeat now..." Cassandra said with a chuckle, folding her arms, "I'll let you go, Miss Grindelwald."
"Don't even think about it!" Vivi struggled to say.
"How unfortunate," Cassandra snapped her fingers, and the two serpents opened their large mouths towards Vivi.
But suddenly feeling something was off, Cassandra quickly moved to the side, and a spell narrowly missed her nose.
"A pretty good decoy, looks almost real," Cassandra gave a thumbs up to Vivi, "If I didn't know how cunning you are, I would've been fooled, Grindelwald."
"I have the same opinion of you as well, you are a formidable opponent."
Vivi and the decoy entwined by the serpents spoke in unison, sounding just like her duplicate, without a trace of difference.
"So, which one is the real you?"
Cassandra didn't give up, and the two serpents squeezed the decoy into a purple glow.
"It was fake after all." She stepped back two steps, using a shield to block two probing spells from Vivi.
The audience below had never seen such a fierce duel, including Cedric and Megan, everyone was staring at the duel without blinking.
Is this the power of sixth and seventh-grade? Hermione wondered, hoping she could grow up soon, so she could learn these incredible skills too when she reached the sixth and seventh grades.
But Cedric and Megan didn't think so — they knew what sixth and seventh grades were like... To put it this way, even if all the sixth and seventh-grade students at Hogwarts were combined, they might not have such spell mastery.
Harry was a bit worried, fearing these two women might really get furious at each other.
However, the duel on stage continued, with dark clouds gradually climbing around Cassandra's body; and Vivi... a circle of purple flames ignited around Vivi.
Exactly as expected, it seemed these two really were getting angry!
