When Liora heard it, she immediately became excited and tugged Kael's clothes, asking him with a cheerful expression.
"Brother Kael, can you even predict something like that?"
"Can you also do fortune-telling?"
"Why don't you make a stall and…"
Before Liora could continue further, Kael stopped her by flicking her head a little harder this time.
"Little girl, stop giving any ideas, okay?" Kael smiled bitterly, shaking his head helplessly, and thought to himself. 'At this rate, I might really get tempted with this brat's suggestion.'
"Ouch! It hurts, you know!" Liora pouted angrily, puffing her cheeks and holding her forehead in pain.
Liora then thought of something and looked at Fenric curiously. "Uncle Fenric, what unique power do you have?"
She continued with a cute smile, "Why don't we collaborate…"
"Liora!" Kael immediately pinched her cheek, pulling it so hard she couldn't finish her sentence.
"Brother Kael! My cheek will fall off sooner or later if you keep pulling it like that!" Liora complained as she pushed her cheek inward, hoping it would return to normal.
Fenric shook his head and laughed when he looked at the siblings' interaction.
'I really should stay away from them in the future.' Fenric thought to himself because the big brother wasn't a good person, as he had 'scammed' him, while the little sister didn't seem like a good girl either.
"What are you going to do now?" Kael looked at Fenric.
"Do you remember my wife's situation?" Fenric asked with a bitter smile.
"Of course! Don't worry, I'll help her later as I promised." Kael waved his hand, then swiftly covered his little sister's mouth when he saw she was about to ask something.
"Where is she? Is she safe?" Kael asked while ordering his undead goblins to bring the corpses.
When the Goblin Commander died, the remaining goblins scattered away, and Kael let them go as he didn't have the time to clean them up.
"She should be fine. She's at home, near where we met the first time," Fenric replied.
"Oh? You might as well pick up Vanya and her little sister since you're heading the same way. I think she's having trouble on that side," Kael said as he summoned one of the Goblin Captains.
"Take this guy with you. He'll show you the way."
"Okay, see you later." Fenric nodded, then left with the Goblin Captain.
At the same time, Kael resurrected all the corpses before storing them and patted his little sister's head with a smile. "Let's go."
Kael continued his journey at high speed, scanning the surroundings in case a strong monster appeared ahead.
'Let's sort out everything I gained this time,' Kael thought, reviewing the things he had missed—such as his new title and skill.
[Title]: Goblin Slayer
–Effect: Increases all stats by 30% for a period of time when fighting goblins.
—> Description:
A title is bestowed only to those who have triumphed against goblins far beyond their strength. Now, every goblin you face trembles before your presence.
Your body reacts with lethal efficiency as your senses sharpen, and your killing intent becomes undeniable whenever you lock eyes with one of their kind. You're no mere awakener—you are their reaper.
You are the Goblin Slayer.
'Oh? That's a good title.' Kael looked at the description and suddenly thought about two things.
First, he just remembered that a title was exclusive for one person, meaning that if someone had received it, the others wouldn't be able to obtain it.
Naturally, there were other people from another world who had received it because there were countless human worlds in the universe, since if there were only one exclusive title, Kael wouldn't be able to get it, as there would be someone who had done something like Kael before.
That's why he now had another purpose: collecting as many titles as possible since they were actually good things that couldn't be missed out on.
Second, Kael was thinking of exploiting it by having a goblin by his side, and whenever he was in a fight, he would let the goblin attack him and increase his stats. If he could do this, he would basically have 30% boost stats all the time.
He then checked his new [Slow Curse] skill and the newly upgraded [Skeleton Armor] skill while smiling widely, as he was in a good mood.
[Slow Curse] – (4th Echelon Level 9)
–Type: Curse / Debuff
—> Effect: Curse a single enemy or all enemies within a radius—area size scales with mana used. Affected targets have their movement and attack speed reduced by 20% for 1 minute.
[Skeleton Armor] – (7th Echelon Level 9)
–Type: Defense
—> Effect: Summons an armor made of interlocking, enchanted bones that wraps around the target, greatly enhancing physical defense. The skill can be cast on others. The armor also provides resistance against control-type skills (e.g., stun, bind, knockback). Lasts until broken or dispelled.
Looking at his two skills, Kael nodded his head in satisfaction as these skills were better than he had expected.
He hadn't used Skeleton Armor earlier because its level had been too low since it wouldn't have mattered against the Goblin Commander too. Besides, he'd needed every bit of mana for healing and for the [Azure Slash] that finished the goblin.
As Kael was still sorting out his gain, he felt something tugging at his clothes, then looked at his little sister with a smile. "What is it?"
"Brother Kael, why don't you help the others?" Liora asked worriedly, sucking her thumb cutely.
She'd heard scattered cries for help, yet her brother ignored them as though he heard nothing.
"Little girl, sometimes you have to be cruel if our family's safety is at stake, okay?" Kael patted her head softly, wearing a bitter smile.
He continued, "Our parents' situation is still unclear, so we need to prioritize them first before everything else."
"Liora understands, but those people were cursing you for not helping." Liora nodded and pouted unhappily.
"These people only saw the decisions I made, not the choices I had." Kael caressed her face softly with a smile.
"Yeah, they don't know that brother Kael needs to go home first." Liora snorted in anger, feeling that these people were too much by cursing them for not helping them.
Kael shook his head as he patted her head softly.
'Silly girl, silly girl. Forget ignoring their lives—if I had to slaughter this entire city to save you and our parents, I'd do it without even batting an eye.'
