Chapter 100: At the Agreed upon Location, Time Is About to Travel

On Little Garden's shore, two giants sat by the water, looking out at the distant sea as they waved goodbye to the two kids.

Roy had come to Little Garden and witnessed the combined might of Dorry and Brogy with his own eyes. Even though only a few decades had passed, the wear and tear on them was nowhere near as severe as it would become later in their century long duel.

Still, after demonstrating their Sovereignty technique again and again, their giant weapons were eventually battered into useless scraps.

That did not matter much. Roy personally paid for two new blades for them.

Ever since he started dating Linlin, that tiny walking treasure vault, and with the nun's savings added on top, Roy could honestly say he did not care about that kind of money anymore.

He was filthy rich.

He had learned the training methods of the Sovereignty from Elders Jarul and Jorul, and now he had personally watched Dorry and Brogy perform it from the sidelines. Over the last few days, he also gave the two captains some pointers. He even contacted the Sheep House through Den Den Mushi, asking the children there to deliver the Den Den Mushi he left behind to Jarul and Jorul, the old giants who had once been members of the Giant Warrior Pirates.

He had Dorry and Brogy speak with them, then exchange ideas several times.

Dorry and Brogy did not care much about these things, but Roy did not want Jarul and Jorul to reach the end of their lives with regrets.

At the very least, let the old men talk to their old friends.

As for whether Dorry and Brogy would ever leave Little Garden, that was their own choice. Roy, raised in Elbaf, treasured the victory and honor they spoke of. He respected Elbaf's traditions.

May the gods of Elbaf bless them.

Dorry and Brogy looked at the mountain of wine barrels stacked around them and waved reluctantly to Roy. The kid was too sharp for his own good. Before leaving, he had stopped by other islands and bought absurd amounts of alcohol just to keep their boredom away a little longer.

A few days later, on a small island in East Blue.

Roy and Amatsuki Toki stood together, looking toward the nearby farmland and the villagers busy at work.

"Let's stop here, Sister Toki." Roy held her hand gently. "We will make our promise here, and we'll meet again in the future."

"What about the time?" Toki asked, curious.

Roy looked around, thinking hard. He did not know when he would return to the sea, but if he had any say in it, he wanted to arrive earlier than her so he could grow up faster.

Then…

Those who know, know.

"It was around 1520, right? You arrived here in 1520."

If I come earlier, I will be here waiting for you. If I come late, do not wander off. Stay right here. I will come back for you.

"Horus." Roy lifted his hand.

The thundercloud Homie zipped over eagerly.

"Horus, listen carefully. This is an order from your master. You must obey it without the slightest failure."

Horus understood. Master, please rest assured.

Roy nodded, satisfied, then pointed up at the sky.

"From today on, you will become a cloud above this island. You will guard this place day and night. Your only job is to wait for Toki's arrival and protect her safety. Understood?"

"Understood. Horus will protect his mistress even if it costs my life."

The thundercloud nodded, rose into the air, and transformed into an enormous dark cloud that did not drift with the wind. It simply hovered in silence, watching over the earth below.

"Pandora."

Roy waved again.

A fiery flower blazed into being and floated before him. Pandora's face looked downright delighted.

"Master, give your orders."

"From now on, go find Linlin. You do not need to protect her. All you need to do is transform into a Homie named Prometheus, stay by her side, watch her grow up, and stop her from making mistakes or straying from the path I set for her."

"Surveillance? Hahaha. Pandora obeys."

The flame Homie laughed gleefully. If Roy had ordered him to protect Linlin, he would have been a thousand times unwilling.

Pandora and Linlin had a grudge.

But if this was about keeping tabs on her, then Pandora was suddenly very interested.

"I will watch that little girl closely. If any shady characters get near her, I will lead the other Homies and grind the bastard into dust. Do not worry, Master." Pandora grinned.

Roy stared, stunned for a moment, then blurted out, "Good heavens."

Go.

"Yes, yes, I will keep an eye on her. After all, that little girl is the master's tool."

Pandora flew off happily toward the location Roy had secretly told him.

Roy could only stay silent.

In truth, most of what he felt for Linlin came from wanting to help her, with only a small part being the desire to make use of her resources. If you asked him to call her a tool, he could only say no.

Pandora clearly just did not want to get close to Linlin and was comforting himself with his own fantasies.

"There are only a few days left," Toki clicked her tongue. "We should not waste them, right?"

Yeah.

That night, on an unnamed island in East Blue, the weather turned vicious.

The wind howled. Huge trees groaned under the strain, as if they might snap at any moment. Flowers along the country path were shredded by rain and wind, their petals scattered across the ground. At the sea, small boats at the dock pitched and creaked with every wave.

It was a brutal, stormy night.

And that kind of night always felt like a warning for something about to happen.

The next day, on the same small island, inside a house Roy had been renting for a long time.

Fair, jade like hands drew the curtains aside, letting sunlight pour into the room. Toki lay languidly on the bed, staring blankly out the window.

She tried to sit up, then her brows knit and she collapsed back down.

Her legs hurt.

"Sister Toki, do not get up yet. I am making breakfast. Rest a little longer." Roy smiled as he poked his head into the bedroom.

Toki hesitated, then nodded and lay back down.

Time travel was always mysterious and unpredictable. The river of time was elusive and merciless.

And this time, two people were traveling through it separately. Who knew if their journeys would create a gap?

Toki could not help thinking, what if there was a difference between their arrivals? What if Roy traveled back many years earlier than she did?

By the time she arrived, would Roy still be… a kid?

Oh no. Oh no.

How could she possibly survive that?
