A few weeks go by and it's about to hit thanksgiving break. The night before I take off back home I'm in my RV getting everything packed and ready to go when I get a text from Hill.
"Come to my office"
"Ok"
I head over to his office and he's right there on his computer doing whatever he's doing
"You wanted to see me?"
"Oh yeah, you're leaving tomorrow morning right?"
"Yeah"
"Alright well I got you a flight on your own private jet"
"Really? Why?"
"Just for you and your guest to be comfortable" "thanks I guess"
"Mmhmm"
"Soooo who's coming with me?"
"Cherry"
"You're fucking with me right?"
"No"
"I'm not about to have her in the same house as my family"
"I told her to be on her best behavior"
"Oh yeah like that's going to work…. Ughhh fuck fine I guess. Can you at least get me a rental car, I'd be more comfortable driving just by myself with her"
"Sure, anything else"
"No imma go and get some sleep"
"Ok, have a good vacation"
Hill winks at me
"I'll try"
The next morning Me and Cherry get on the private jet heading for California. On the way over I try not to talk to her and sit away from her but I figured I have to lay down some rules. I walk over and sit near her
"Hey we need to go over some shit before we land"
"Ok what's that?"
"First of all let's get our story straight on how me met and why you're with me"
"Ok"
"We met on campus, we're just friends and you wanted to come along because you don't have anyone to spend thanksgiving with"
"Ok got it"
"And I'm not calling you cherry while I'm there so pick a name to use"
"Hmmmm Alexandra, i can also go by Alex or Lexi"
"Ok that's fine, now your appearance.."
"Already way ahead of you, I went and bought some basic white girl clothes and make up"
"Ok cool, got to stay as innocent as possible"
"At least in front of your family, when we're alone that's different"
"No we aren't doing anything"
"We'll see, anything else you want me to do?"
"Just be nice"
"Yes sir"
She says as she salutes
"Oh god this is going to be a long week"
A few hours go by and the jet lands at the airport. Cherry has been in the bathroom for the last two hours doing god knows what
"Cherry! Let's go!!"
Cherry comes out with her hair curled and her makeup done, she actually looks pretty good
"Relax I'm coming"
"Uhhhh ummm…"
"What"
"Nothing it's just… different"
"So you're saying I look good right?"
"Yeah yeah, ummm lets head out"
We head out the private jet and walk over to the rental Hill got us, a Tundra
"Ok this is pretty nice I can't even lie"
We get in the truck and head over to the house.
Twenty minutes later we're in front of the house parking but before we walk in I look at Cherry and grab her arm as she's trying to get out
"Hold on"
"What?"
"Remember what I said, be nice and as innocent as possible"
"Yeah yeah I know"
"Alright, let's go… Lexi"
"Oh god I already hate this"
We walk up to the door and I ring the doorbell and my mom answers and gives me a big hug right away
"Im happy to see you too mom"
"Who's this Jay?"
"This is my friend from school, Alexandra"
"Nice to meet you Alexandra"
She shakes Cherrys hand
"It's nice to meet you too"
"Well you guys come in and put your stuff up Jays room"
We head inside and go up to my old room, we set our stuff down and Cherry looks at me and whispers
"How was that"
"Pretty good, just be like that the next few days and we'll be fine"
Over the next few hours we're downstairs in the dining area catching up with some of the family that came over after we arrived. Most of the time it's just them talking to Cherry and surprisingly she's playing it off pretty good and sticking to our plan. Maybe these next few days won't be so bad after all.
