Christmas Day arrives, The plan is already laid out. Once the peak time hits and everything is super busy I'm going to sneak into the office and find a way into the safe, I've heard that Hill keeps the safes code for the lock somewhere in his desk so I'll have to look for that. Since I can control the cameras im going to shut them all off so they can't track it back. If everything goes smooth I can pull this off easily... if not I'm dead. As the night goes on I'm just fidgeting and anxious, all these thought going through my head. What if I get caught? What if I do this but it's a trap? What if this was Lexi's plan all along and everything was just bullshit? Either way I'm in too deep to turn back now. As the peak hours start I shut off the cameras around the park and leave my shack and sneak over to the office. The door is open and nobody is inside, so far so good but I still need to look for that code. I head into Hills office and close the door behind me and start rivaling through his drawers and cabinets.
"Fuck man there's nothing here... who the fuck said the code was in he-"
I hear a gun get cocked behind me and I put my hands up.
"Turn around"
I turn around and it's Brenda, Hill's assistant
"Brenda... h-hey"
In her other hand is a piece of paper
"Looking for this?"
"Brenda... listen. I need that code. Whatever is in this safe can free everyone from this place"
"You think I don't know that? But why should I trust that you would not just run off with all that when I can just take it myself?"
"I can walk away now and be free from everything, everyone else is stuck here, they have no where to go because they're slaves to this man. I know you're one of them too"
She gives me a straight look and I see her chin trembling holding back tears
"Every night before I go to bed I pray i wake up and everything was all just a bad dream. Every single night"
She puts the gun down and hands me the paper
"I'm going to walk out this door.... I was never here"
"Thank you"
I turn to the safe but then I hear Brenda
"Jay..."
"Yeah?"
"Please.... just set us free, that's all we want"
"Don't worry, I got this"
Brenda hurries out and go back to the safe and input the code. The safe beeps and the light turns green. I open up the safe and take a look inside it
"Holy shit..."
There's gold bars and other expensive jewelry and I don't how much cash but it's definitely enough for everyone that's been held captive for years to get a cut and start a new life.
"This is crazy, but how am I supposed to show this to everyone"
I take a picture and a video then just close the safe door back up and take the paper with the code on it. I sneak out of the office and get back to the security shack and turn the cameras back in making it look like nothings been touched. I sit down in my chair and all I have to do I just relax and wait for the shift to end to tell Lexi. As I'm chilling there I feel a sharp pain in the back of my head and everything goes black. Time passes by and then I wake up in a dark room, handcuffed. I don't recognize this room and I can't hear anything from the outside.
"What the fuck is going on?"
That's all I can think about. Then I realize something. My pockets are emptied, whoever knocked me out and kidnapped me took everything I had on me, including the phone with all the pictures and videos on it.... I might be fucked.
