Chapter 1
Eric's POV
-I was already out of breath this chase was not going to end.
Well this was the result of being part of a royal family.Due to some matters some people were chasing after me just because I failed to marry. According to my father his time of ruling was coming to an end, so it was my turn. But l don't have a wife so other ministers are trying to force their daughters on me while others tried to kill me.
"Hurry up he went this way,"
I saw one of my trusted guards stopping with the few men that were supposed to protect me.
"Jack what are you doing let's go"
"No my Prince .We will stay back and protect you.Go , go ,go!!!"
"But I can't I will stay and fight with you "
"My Prince no l promised your father that l will lead you out of the palace safely,"
He handed me a sword and l took it and made my way out of the palace.
Just as l was at the gate l saw about ten men charging my way.I drew my sword and waited for the first one to draw near .
As he was about to come at me l hit him in the head with the back of my sword. Yeah l don't like to kill people if not necessary.
I only shed blood during wars to protect my kingdom.
They kept on coming and l used my sword to block them cutting their knees and hands, because traitors like them don't deserve to ever hold a sword.
After a few swift moves l had defeated all the men .l was about to continue when another soldier charged at me slashing my stomach. I reacted as quick as I could slashing his knee and kicking him in the stomach.
My stomach hurt but I had to continue for the sake of my Kingdom. I trudged through a forest path that would lead me to the nearest city.The pain was overwhelming and I had already lost a lot of blood.
I need help....
Tatiana Valerie's P.O.V
Well this day has been the worst one ever and I feel like crying.
Why can't I it's my birthday and noone has wished me well.My family don't even care about all they care about is my sister who they say is better than me
I don't know if I am my parents daughter because they treat me like an outsider.If only my mom could just wish me happy birthday. I have already moved out of the family house but my sister is still living there, and I just turned twenty five.
Grrr grrrr grrrr lord my phone is ringing maybe someone remembered my special day.

"Hello mom"
"Yes Tatiana dear come home today there is a special gathering.'
"Okay I am on my way" then l hang up
Yeeeeeeee finally they remembered my birthday.A dream come true. I jumped out of bed and took a shower then wore my best clothes.
I took a bottle of champagne then made my way out. Finding a taxi was very easy so I gave the driver my address. This was it l was finally going home after a long time.
When I arrived l got out of the car then payed for the ride.
"Miss your change,"
"Keep it"
"Today is a lucky day indeed"
"Yes it's my birthday "
"In that case happy birthday,"
I smiled and waved the taxi driver goodbye. I took another glance at our family mansion.This place was really mesmerizing, but it will never belong to me.
I walked to the door and after a slight knock the maid opened.
"Miss Valerie this way please madam and sir are already waiting."
"Thank you " I smiled and made my way to the dinning room.
The place was decorated in pink , my favorite colour by the way. The place was looking like it crawled out of a book. I was truly happy this was going to be the best day ever.
"Mom , dad l am here,"
"Oh you made . Today is a special day."
"And I wouldn't miss it for the world."
I placed the champagne on the table that was filled with different types of food. At the middle was a huge cake that I knew was mine. Now I knew that they did this all for me.
My father then sat down at the table and my mom and I followed suit.
Something was wrong, there is someone missing.
"Mom where is Gina,"
"She said she has something to do but she will be here soon. Then we can surprise her."
"Surprise her?"
"Yes"
I saw the looks on their faces, wait what was happening wasn't this supposed to be my big day.
Maybe it's a misunderstanding.
"Dad how exactly are you planning to surprise Gina,"
He cleared his throat and spoke up
"By giving her shares to the company,"
"What!!!!!! mom is that true"
"Yes yes your father and I have decided that it is finally time to give your sister the company."
That was it , I felt as if my heart was being pricked by a thousand thorns . I have lost hope with all these people. I have no family in this world.
I tried to hold it in but I couldn't the tears were already flowing l needed answers.
"Am I really your daughter"
I think my mom was caught off guard because she replied shakingly.
"Yes dear. Why would you say something like that."
"Because today is my birthday and noone of you cared . All you think about is Gina even if l am the oldest by a year. Aren't you as my parents obligated to treat us the same. Ha answer me!!!!"
My father stood up
"Shut up!! What do you have that can compare to my beloved Gina you brat,"
"Dad is this how you are. I was the one who graduated at the top of my class how can you say l am not up to match with Gina. As your eldest daughter don't you think I am supposed to be working at your company instead l work day and night trying to make a living when I have a family that can support me,"
"I don't care you are nothing but a worthless child, if it weren't for your mother I would have disowned you a long time ago,"
"You think I care I have already told myself that in this world l have no family left . The day you threw me out was the day you both died in my heart"
"Tatiana how could you say that to your father "
"Shut up, you don't have to keep on this act . If you ever cared you would have called to check on me but no you thought of me today because you want me to celebrate with you in honour of your beloved daughter Gina.,"
Slap , slap ..... Pa--aaa..aaa
The slap echoed through out the room.
"Dad you slapped me."
"And I will do it again if you don't know your limits,"
"Ho.o.ow could you do this to me. Despite being your daughter the moment I turned 18 you threw me out to fend for myself. Never have you called to check on me. I worked as a waitress to pay for my university and it's not like you didn't have the money. I worked all sorts of jobs and you never cared. What type of parents are you ha and you stand here and tell me to know my limits "
The tears were flowing and my heart in pain. The hope I had was already fading and my heart was yearning for a peace that's profound. I was trapped in a feeling of agony so I wiped my tears for the scars of the heart can never be revealed . What are tears when the heart can cry silently.
"I hear by declare that I Tatiana Valerie have no relationship with this family,"
" You really want to do this,"
"Otherwise is there a choice. I can't keep on convincing myself that I have a family when there is none."
"It's fine don't come crawling back to your mother and me for help. "
"Rest assured l won't. So from today on ward Tatiana is nolonger your child. Salut "

Chapter 2
Tatiana Valerie's P.O.V
After l left the place I once called my home. My heart was as heavy as a stone weighed down by sorrow.But l couldn't live like there is no tomorrow.
So l decided to go look for my boyfriend at least l would find some comfort. Peter had chased after me for two whole months and then I accepted him last month. We have been together since then and now l can spend my birthday with someone who loves me.
I had been single all this while because I thought that love wasn't my portion. Don't know why l gave Peter a chance.
I guess it was decided I was going to look for him and tell him about my day.
I decided to take the bus , so after a few minutes I arrived at Peter's apartment. I had bought some beer and ice cream to go with my pain. You know that saying that says eating ice cream while crying can solve your pain , that's exactly what I was going to do.
I headed to the second floor and knocked on the door.After a few tries no one came to open so l decided to go in . Peter had a tendency of locking himself in while sleeping because he would be tired after coming back from work.
I checked for the key under a yellow flower pot and luckily the key was still there. I opened the door and walked in . The whole place was filled with alcohol bottles.
"Pete are you there ?". I heard no reply so I decided to check in the bedroom.
As l was getting closer I heard muffled sounds coming from the bedroom.I walked to the door in lightning speed and kicked the door open. Bang !!!!!! and the door opened. I dropped the things I was holding and they scattered on the floor alerting the two people tumbling on the bed..
Right then and there my heart dropped. The scene before me was horrifying and heart wrenching.
"Gi . ..gi...Na !!!!!! Gina what are you doing with Peter "
They were both calm ,they did not look like people who had been caught in a crime. The ones tangled in bed were my sister and boyfriend. They were really shameless they did not even panic.
"What do you think dear sister," she said as she stood up from the bed.
" Gina how could you do this to me. You have everything you would want why take away my only source of light."
" Stop it you deserve everything that is coming your way you bitch ."
Slap, slap, slap pa--aaa , pa--aaa , pa--aaa, pa--aaa.
I had slapped her four times on both cheeks . She had taken the only thing that belonged to me and she wasn't remorseful about it.
"How dare you slap me . Do you think that Petty would want you haa. Tell me how you plan to keep a man when you stay a virgin like Mary . Dear sis you should learn from me "
Slap , pa--aaa. Her face was now slowen but it was no match to how l was feeling now .
" You're heartless I hope you suffer the same fate as me .
And you Peter how can you be so shameless to sleep with my sister. Today was my birthday and I wanted to spend it with you,"
"Tatiana I don't fucking care how do you expect me to date a nun haa just go and die . I don't care about your family drama after all you are the unwanted child. I would rather be with Gina who is sure to inherit the company."
"So this is it ha . Gina your parents called me out said you were taking care of something important I never thought that this was what you were doing. I wish they knew that their little perfect girl wasn't so perfect at all. Love is blind...."
"Petty come here let's give her a show "

They started to kiss in front of me. I could nolonger hold it in but I wasn't going to cry in front of them. As I was walking away I heard Peter's voice.
"You already tired of watching,"
This was it I was in a complete mess . My heart felt like it could rip out any moment. I walked away.
The tears l had tried to hold in found their way out. *****
This was definitely the end of the world for me

My parents disowned me, my boyfriend cheated on me with my sister. If I could choose my family I totally deserve better.

Since my birthday had been ruined it's time I go back home to cry myself to death. It's not far from my home so I decided to take a walk back.
Stuck in my thoughts as I walked past a little path that connected to the forest I saw a figure looming in the dark . My heart was beating fast and faster by the second. I griped the hem of my dress in fear and shakingly called out to the unknown figure.
"Whose there, sho --o..w your self. I am dangerous just ple ...e ...ease don't hurt me"

The person did not respond so I walked closer . It looked like he was hurt the least I could do was heIp.
"Help me" the man said then I heard a loud thud he had fainted.
I dragged him out of the dark and just then I saw his face . My heart skipped a beat, this man was an artwork his body was that of the statue of Hercules.
I felt stupid for admiring his looks when clearly he needed to be saved. What could I do he was simply too charming to take my eyes off him
I ripped off a piece of my dress then tied it around his wound. It seemed to be a cut wound, maybe he was one of the royal guards .
Well in this kingdom we have cities surrounding each side. The North is where bandits come from. At the heart of this country is were we find The Palace in Andorra.
Only royals , ministers, noble men and their families live in Andorra. The rest live in cities but we all are still under the rule of The King of Andorra ..
The people that live in the main kingdom are trained to fight the bandits so that they don't get to the cities.
Maybe this man has been hurt fighting the bandits since his wearing an armor . Yeah the people at the palace are still traditional.
Training knights, balls and all other royal stuff. Since this man was one of those people who protect our kingdom I might as well as help.
I hailed a taxi and asked the driver to help me put the man in the car. After that we arrived at my place. I carried him out of the car and arrived in my bedroom.
Damn this man had a lot of weight. After laying the man on the bed I dressed his wound carefully. Now I would prepare some herbal soup , I will have to make sure he takes it after waking up.
I headed to the kitchen and saw that I was out of herbs so I decided to heard to the nearest market to get some before he woke up .
I took my bag and went out. I locked the door just in case .
After all I have gone through l have learnt a big lesson.
Chapter 3
~It won't matter how much my heart has been broken. I will just turn away and start again.
Eric's P.O.V
After I woke up I felt a lot better. Wait were am I. I tried to get up but the pain kept me back .
I looked around the place and it seemed as if someone had attended to my wounds .
Before I passed out I remembered walking through the forest path to get to the nearest city. My wound was bleeding profusely and I was starting to feel dizzy.
I did not want to pass out in the forest in fear of being held captive by bandits . I trudged through the stoney path until I saw a light. I walked closer to the light only to see a woman like figure. I muttered a few words then passed out. I don't remember anything else or how I got here , it's all blank. At least l am in good hands. But I have to go back to my kingdom as soon as possible , my father is counting on me.
At that moment someone opened the door. I was already preparing myself for battle when I saw a woman walking in . Her hair was cascading to her shoulders, wearing a red dress that was some how torn . Her beauty was no match to any of those ladies at the palace.
As I was busy admiring her looks she went to the kitchen and spent I don't know how much time there , but later came back with soup.
She walked closer then she froze I guess she was surprised to see me awake.
" Oh you're awake. Have some soup it will help you get your strength back"
I just looked at her clueless , will she try and poison me but she doesn't seem like that person . Okay we will put her personality to a test and if she passes my search is over.
" Where am I ?"
" Uh I saw you near the forest path and saved you ."
" Thank you , what might be your name "
" My name is Tatiana Valerie and you".
"You can call me Eric"
" Okay Eric let me help you with the soup then you can find your way back home after you've recovered,"
This girl is so fast forward she seems to not want anyone around her. At the very least l can't tell her my identity just to be safe.
She then went on feeding me soup and after that left with the dishes. At this moment I heard the cry of a dove I headed towards the window and there it was a white dove
In our kingdom doves are trained to send messages. They are able to locate people if they have seen their faces . I took the little piece of paper and read out the message.
.... My son things here have gone hay wire . The kingdom has been in total chaos. Since you had refused to marry the ministers and noble men's daughters they arranged a festival called BRIDE SELECTION.
I don't have much time send me your location once you've received this message. I will send Jack with all the information.

Damn those old geezers already pressuring my father.
I can't believe they are doing all this just to make me marry their daughters inorder to enable them to have power and spy us .
That's why I have to find a strong woman whose also loyal. In this era it's going to be hard. .
" You can already stand up"
" Yeah , can you please give me a pen and paper I need to inform my family about my condition.". she looked at me puzzled it's not everyday you see a dove with a message right.
"Oh okay here you go"

I wrote a few words then tied the piece of paper on the dove opened the window and let it fly away.
I was already zoning out when a voice rang out.
" So you're from the palace"
" Kinda of"
" Okay "
" Is it okay if I spend a few days here until my family get here"
" Uh mmmm "... She seemed to be thinking of something like making a huge decision. Is she that lonely that she doesn't need company.

" Okay it's fine. You can stay since you are injured." .

" Why ..... ". I was so shocked anyone would want a reward for saving someone's life. Even if she didn't know that I am a Prince.
" This my good heart hasn't gotten me any where so it's best I assume the worst of things"..

The smile on her face was undeniable when she hopped of to the kitchen to get the cake . This girl is really something.

Tatiana Valerie's POV
*Can't believe I am spending my birthday with a stranger. Wow so this is what heartbreak leads to. This is the same as picking up a stranger to comfort you, but this feels different.
I feel comfortable around him and trust me I never open up to anyone. Can he be my knight in shining armor. Wait wait after all I have gone through I can never open up my heart again.
" Here you go, a piece of cake"
" Thank you and happy birthday"
" Thanks "
After the cutting of my cake I cleared up the plates and went to run a bath for him.
" Uh hey I prepared a bath for you so that after you're done I can change your bandages"
" No need to be so formal just call me Eric "
" Okay got it "
" I will heard in for the bath now "
After " Eric " went to the bathroom I started brain storming on how I was going to deal with my sister. Yeah they broke me so I am going to revenge myself. I am not some broken angel with no halo I got to revenge my shattered heart .
That's a story for another day right now I need to take care of my patient . I need to make sure he is in good shape before he leaves tomorrow. Right now I need some alone time and the sooner he gets well the better.
I headed to my bedroom then brought out a fresh set of pyjamas that I had just bought. As a good person I intended to let him borrow them so I walked to the bathroom. I knocked on the door but there was no answer, I tried again but no one answered.
Oh no what if he fainted in the bathroom, or he opened up his wound and something bad happened . I don't want him to die in my house I really have enough troubles to deal with.
Without a second thought I banged in and hell no the sight I saw was .....
" Sorry , sorry " I said as I tried to close my eyes.
" What are you doing Tatiana get out !!!!!"
" Sorry I thought you were dead or something "
" Why would you think I'm dead"
" Well you didn't answer the door "
" You know what get out "..
" Okay I brought you a set of pyjamas " I said as I threw them at him then hurried out.
I closed the door then took a long breath . His stature was well defined even with the towel wrapped around his waist he looked so handsome. My heart was pounding and I was seeing things. The image of his face was all over my head. His hair was dripping wet looking like the sea god coming out from the depths of the sea .
I went and sat down at the dressing table trying to control my nerves. I was still trying to remove him from my mind when I heard a voice behind me.
" Tatiana" I was just turning when I saw Eric wearing the pink pyjamas. Couldn't help but laugh.
" Is something funny . How could you give me ladies pyjamas and pink at that "
" Well I didn't put that in mind " I said as I tried not to sound funny but it was hard to control so I bursted into laughter.
" Eric I am sorry. Your clothes were soaked in blood and that was the only pair I had"
" Really? Aren't you doing this to make fun of me "
" No no no , if you don't trust me you can check for your self after all pink is my favorite colour " I said as I raised my hands in the air trying to look serious.
This was funny imagine a grown up man wearing pink pyjamas with little bows . Yeah even you would laugh until your lungs hurt.
" Okay so are you ready" he said as he unbuttoned his pj shirt.
" For what exactly. Wh..a..aa..at are you doing"
" Why is your face so red didn't you see enough in the bathroom and you want more "
" No it's not like that " he completely ignored me then continued to take off his shirt.
I think I might have stared too much, maybe I was already drooling cause he suddenly paused . Don't know why but I let out a frown

" Then why aren't you getting to work "
" What do you mean " I said completely ignorant of the whole situation.

" Not at all" I said as I rushed out of the room and I swore I saw a smile plastered on his lips.
I actually don't understand how I could have gotten used to him this fast . I have only known him for a day and it feels like l have known him from forever. He teases me and makes me laugh maybe we can be great friends but he will go back to his family soon. I will have to learn to be alone again.
" Eric lift up your shirt a bit" I said as I was already bandaging his wounds .
" Do you always get hurt at the palace"
" Not really this is actually the actually the first time in a while "

" I can only tell you that you have a long way to go that's why I said " little " as for the daisy part you will know when the time comes "
" I don't want to overthink it so it's fine and I also think it suits me perfectly " little daisy" I said as I made a little cute face.
Eric started laughing then I just stood up.
" Okay your wounds are bandaged, now for the sleeping arrangements"
" Sleeping arrangements "
" Yeah it's time to go to bed. I will take the couch and you will sleep on the bed right "
" No way I am a visitor I will just sleep on the floor "
" There's no need to act all gentleman with me . With your height it will not be comfortable for you and you're injured "
" But ..." I cut him off before he could finish..
" It's settled you can go to sleep but let me warn you don't touch anything not even the walls"
" I promise " then I pushed him into the bedroom and went to sleep on the couch.
I actually have a friend now but it's just for a day or so cause he will have to go back home. As I was thinking of how lonely life would be again I fell asleep.

" Hey little daisy wake up, wake up!!!"

" I made your favorite pancakes with fresh strawberries "

It's been five days and I have been living with Eric. He said that there has been a delay that's why his people have not come yet. He even makes me breakfast what a dude.

" You welcome after breakfast go take a shower"
" Okie dokie " I said with my mouth full of strawberries .
After my lavish breakfast I went to take my shower. I finished taking my shower then brushed my teeth. I was just walking out of the bathroom drying my hair with a towel when Eric approach me .
" Let me help you dry your hair" he said as he took the towel from my hands. He led me to the dressing table and he pulled up a chair for me to sit. He ran his hands in my hair then slowly dried it with a towel . It brought a tinge to my scalp and my hair felt like it was flowing with the wind.
As I was enjoying the comfort of his hands someone decided to disrupt it. There was a knock on the door.
" Don't worry I will go and check just stay here " I said as I was already on my way to the door.
I walked at a slow pace as I was hoping that trouble won't be knocking on my door or worse.
I slowly opened the door and saw that a man in a royal attire or suit , I don't get it though, was standing at the door.
"Hy how can I help you"
" Good day ma'am I'm looking for Eric , I am here to take him home"
That moment my heart felt like it had been ripped out and stepped on. The thing that I had most feared had come true. Eric was finally leaving me.
" Ma'am ma'am are you okay"
" Ah yes I will call him for you"
This was the end of my comfort zone. It's true that life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Mine was coming to an end...
Chapter 5: I won't compromise. I would rather run away...
Eric's POV
~ Tatiana had spent about ten minutes at the door when she finally came back. Her face looked gloomy and a frown was plastered on her face instead of her usual smile.
" What's wrong little daisy"
" It's nothing. Someone is looking for you at the door"
" Really me "
" Yeah they said they came to take you home "
" Okay I will check "
I walked to the door then I saw Jack my trusted guard . I was so glad to know he was okay after my escape I didn't know if he was doing well.
He rushed at me .
" My Prince !!! "
" Shhhh keep it down"
I didn't want Tatiana to over hear him calling me"prince "
" Okay your highness"
" So what news do you bring".
" I think we need to sit down "
" Let's go inside " I gestured for him to enter . We were about to heard to the sitting room when Tatiana came out in a rush.
She was already dressed up looking panicked.
" What's wrong where are you going "
" I have to go there's been an emergency"

" Eric aren't you going back home "

I was busy staring at the direction Tatiana left in when I heard a sound beside me.
Jack was giving me a talking glance.

" Did you come here to suspect useless things" I said in a warning voice.

" So Prince Eric the situation is as follows.
After the ministers and noble men found out that you left the palace they wanted to find a way to surpress you "

" Since you had refused to marry their daughters they decided to bring back an old tradition . "

" It's called BRIDE SELECTION. All royals and noble men's daughters are allowed to enter a competition. This is were the ladies are trained to be the perfect Queen."
" How does the competition work "
" They are trained for five months then tested on the final test "
" What are they trained in exactly "
" Proper etiquette, fighting skills, business trade and other things that would make up a queen"
This was really stupid these people were trying everything to bring me down.
" My Prince you are also allowed to bring in a potential candidate called the Prince's elected "
" How do you mean "
" You can choose a lady who will take place in the competition "
" Ohh so I am allowed to bring my own lady"
" Yes my Prince . It will be safer since those people are trying to use their daughters as spies "
" You are right I just need to find a potential candidate someone who's loyal and willing to fight by my side "
" I don't think it will be that hard . Don't you have Tatiana "
I was shocked hearing Jack mention Tatiana.
" No way she wouldn't agree plus she doesn't know that I am a Prince"
" Can't I just not look for a lady "
" No it's against the rules you must provide your elected bride "

" Your highness we don't have much time to look for a loyal person. They ordered that you have to be back by tomorrow evening or forget about taking over the thrown "
" Those bastards are getting corky " I said completely annoyed.
What was I going to do. My kingdom is counting on me so is my father. A day is not enough to find a potential candidate and bride .
" Prince Eric we have to ask for Miss Tatiana Valerie's help"
" I don't know how she will take it ."
" She looks loyal and has the potential to be a kind Queen "
" Jack you just got here and you seem to know everything about her "

" It's decided then I will try to convince her to take place in the competition "

How was I supposed to tell Tatiana that I want her to join a competition, fighting to be my queen when she doesn't even know about my identity. I will try if she refuses I will just pick a random girl on the streets despite how dangerous it is.l decided to wait for Tatiana so that I can tell her about the competition.
Tatiana Valerie's POV
~I had just received a call that my mom was not doing well. The person on the phone said that she is severely ill and might not make it through the day alive. Those words made my heart pound that's why after receiving the call I rushed out of the house. I really love my mom but she just doesn't love me twice as much as I do. I cut ties with my family but that doesn't mean I don't care about their well being.
When I rushed out of the house I left Eric chatting with his friend that came to take him home. I hope that he stays for a little bit.
After arriving at the mansion gate I ran in like a wild woman. Didn't want anything to happen to my mother. I walked to the dinning my legs shaking with fear of what I would do if I were to lose my mom. As I entered the room what I saw made me want to curse myself.
I wanted to laugh at myself for being an idiot that they would fool over and over again. We're my feelings a toy they would use and throw away, was my conscience a puzzle they would jamble no it needs to end.
My mother was seating at the dinning table completely healthy laughing with my father while Gina was seating next to Peter acting like a love sick fool. There was a man who was also seating at the table. He looked like he had died and woken up. He was skinny his bones looked like they were piercing through his skin. Netherless they tricked me into coming here inorder for me to see their little family reunion.
I decided to leave but my mom saw me before I could turn around.
" Tatiana you are here have a seat" she said as she gestured for me to sit next to the skinny man. Hell nooo !!!!
" No thank you I would like to remain standing since I will be leaving soon"
" Sister I am so glad you are here I want to introduce you to Peter. He is my fiancee he proposed to me yesterday." Gina said as she was waving her hand in the air for me to see the ring.
" Well I am happy for you but couldn't you have looked for someone better why go after my vomits"
" You ungrateful child can't you be nice to your sister. Even if you and Peter had something to do with each other he chose Gina. I don't blame him though who would ever want you."
I heard my dad shout in an angry voice. He is the only one who doesn't hide how much he hates me .
" At least your daughter was honest enough to tell you that she stole Peter from me . But don't worry I don't care about useless people any more " I said as I glanced over to Peter who looked like he could kill me.
" Mom why did you call me here and you even had the guts to lie to me".
" I know I shouldn't have lied to you but if I didn't you wouldn't have come " you got that right.
" What's your deal why call me out when we have broken all family ties "
My dad stood up and walked directly to me.
" Tatiana as you can see Gina is already engaged it's your turn to get married since you are the oldest"
He was talking in a calm tone different from the way he usually does.
" How does that affect me if Gina wants to get married let her , l don't care" l said as I was already preparing to walk out.
" Wait. This young man here wants to marry you" .
" Which young man all I see here are wild animals and old dead men "
" You brat be mindful of your words . This man is the minister of the neighbouring city he is willing to pay a lot as your dowery "
" So you want to sell me out to a man who is old enough to be my grandfather and looks like my great great great grandfather. How shameless can you get ".
The man stood up in a fit of anger clearly offended by the words I said earlier.
" Young lady do you know that I can make your life easy if you settle down with me. Everything you could ever want I could hand it you in a silver platter just agree to this marriage"
" I am sorry but I don't take old men's money you can use that money to buy yourself sense. How can a dying man like you want someone as young as me . Don't you feel ashamed. And you people calling yourselves my parents whilst you want to marry me off to this man. You want me to become a widow after marrying him. "
" My daughter it's not like that. Mr Rogers here is a good man he can take care of you " I was so pissed how can my mom say that.
" If he's so good why don't you marry him."
I said it out loud because I was tired of this family. My dad was already mad his face twisted with different emotions mostly hatred . I don't care anymore.
" Watch your tone young lady" said the old man then he turned to my father.
" You said that you would introduce me to your daughter and she will willingly marry me. Just look at the insults she is throwing at me I can't take this."
" Don't worry Mr Rogers I will make up for the insults "
" You better or there will be no dowery and I won't build you a mansion like I promised you will have to compensate me with twenty gold bars"
" No no Mr Rogers there won't be any need for that "
This was getting boring I was about to leave when my dad held me back.
" You are not going anywhere. Men come in here and remove all her clothes for Mr Rogers to see "
" You can't do this. Stop dad please don't do this. How can you be this wicked. Mother don't let them touch me please.....!!!!"
I screamed at the top of my voice as I looked at my mother who was quite, Gina and Peter were mocking me with their eyes and rejoicing in their hearts at the sight of my demise.
The men ran in and started ripping my clothes as I screamed in agony pleading for help. All of them stood there staring at me drooling and smiling.
When they were about to rip of my inner wear I decided that no one can save me but my self . With the little strength I kicked one of three men were it hurts most.
He fell to the ground in pain , then I grabbed a flower pot that was next to me and used it to smash one of the men on the head.
Without anything to fight off the last one I stood up from the ground and began to run away.
" Men catch here don't let her get away"
I ran out of the mansion and began to run away. The bodyguards were following behind me . When I could nolonger run I threw myself in a rose bush and hid there . They passed me.
" Where did she go . You men take that road let's go."
I heard them as they ran off . The sky was already dark. My body was in pains the rose bush had prickled my skin with it's thorns.
I got up from the bush and started walking down the pavement. The day couldn't get any worse but it did as the cold rain poured from the sky.
I felt cold as it touched my skin why me . I cried in the rain as I walked down the road. I was a mess my life was coming to an end. I screamed admist the loud roar of thunder. Is there a place I can call home.
