Chapter 19 - CH 19

"You guys didn't even have a phone when we captured you. Why is that?" Natasha asked. Both Percy and Jason shared a look.

"We're not allowed to have phones. At camp, there is only one phone and that's in the big house." Percy said.

"So, you guys don't have TV's, computers, phones, or anything electronic?" Tony asked, very shocked. Both teens shook their heads.

"What camp?" Clint added, as this was the second time a camp was mentioned.

"Nope, not really." Jason said, ignoring the question about camp "If someone did have a laptop or a phone it was snuck in," he added more as an afterthought. 'Like Annabeth' were the unspoken words that both boys were thinking.

"Yeah, if you know the right people, you can get almost anything smuggled in," Percy added, distracting himself from the thought about Annabeth.

"You have to smuggle things into this 'camp'," Sam repeated with a frown.

"Yeah, like snacks. I usually ask to get chocolate bars smuggled in so I don't have to wait until meal times to eat." Percy chuckled. No one knew if he was joking or not.

"Wait, they don't even allow snacks!" Peter asked, shocked even though he didn't know what they were talking about.

"And how about you Jason, what do you have smuggled in?" Scott asked more out of curiosity than a need to know.

"Nothing," Jason replied.

"Oh come on bro, everyone asked for something to get into camp. I knew a guy that asked to get Nike shoes smuggled in," Percy said.

"It is against the rules," Jason spoke in defiance.

Percy sighed "You still need to work on losing up and live a little. And out of all the rules, you choose that one to follow. It's more of a guideline than an actual rule."

"Order and discipline are important Percy, you know that," Jason stated. Percy just rolled his eyes. During his time at camp Half-Blood and the quest on the Argo II, Jason had loosened up a lot, but when being held prisoner by the Avengers, he reverted to the soldier/ leader he was raised to be.

"Great there's another one!" Tony shouted exasperated, throwing his hands in the air for extra effect.

"Another what?" Steve asked.

"Another you! This kid looks like you and even talks like you. Always the perfect soldier." At that, Jason and Percy scowled and their light mood dropped. "What are the sudden long faces? We were bonding?" Tony asked, noticing the two teens' solemn facial expressions and the tense silence.

"It's nothing." Percy sighed. "When is dinner going to be ready? I am starving." He asked, changing the subject.

"Umm, I will go check." Sam hurried out of the dining room into the kitchen.

"We should introduce ourselves since you don't know who we are." Steve spoke, breaking the silence. "I am Captain America but you can call me Steve Rogers."

"I am Tony Stark or Iron man." He stated proudly and waited for the gushing approval from the two teens, but that didn't happen. They just moved on to the next person causing the other Avengers to chuckle as Tony deflated.

"I am Dr. Bruce Banner, I am also the Hulk." He closed his eyes waiting for them to shrink back in fear or something, but that didn't happen. Much to his surprise, the two teens just waited for the next person to introduce themselves.

"I am Hawkeye or Clint Barton."

"I am Black Widow." The red head stated.

"What no real name?" Percy asked one eyebrow raised.

"No," she spoke flatly.

"I am Scott Lang or the Ant-Man" he said, smiling.

"My name is James Rhodes, but I go by Rhodey. I am also going by the name War Machine." Percy and Jason flinched a little at the name, which confused the few who noticed.

"I'm Bucky." The man with the metal arm grunted.

"And I am Sam Wilson, or the Falcon," Sam called from the kitchen.

"And I'm Peter Parker" Percy and Jason nodded.

"Honestly, I'm glad your name isn't Peter Johnston…" Jason smiled a little at the comment, Peter looked confused but before he could ask anything, Percy continued "You guys have some weird code names, so you guys are supposed to be superheroes?" Percy asked.

" I guess so." Steve shrugged.

"I don't see it." A burst of laughter erupted from all the adults shocking them both and Steve.

"I could say the same about you two kids. You don't exactly scream terrorists to me." Tony laughed.

"Terrorists?" Peter asked, his nervousness back.

"I have to agree with Stark; you don't seem evil to me. You lack the look in your eyes." Steve said, giving both teens a reassuring smile.

"Evil look or not, Rogers, the fact remains that the evidence disagrees," Natasha stated, sending a glare their way. Percy just snorted.

"The 'evidence' doesn't tell the whole story," Percy said.

"But you're not going to tell us the whole story are you?" Black Widow asked, her eyes not moving from the two teens.

"Nope." Both replied at the same time.

"I thought you said you would cooperate, and you were telling us stuff a little earlier," Steve stated, frowning.

"We said we would cooperate, as in not trying to escape and doing your little superhero program." Percy did air quotes for 'superhero program'. "But when it comes to information, everything we have told you so far can in no way hurt us, and we are not going to give you names or places that will compromise our… organization." Percy stated. The way he hesitated on the word 'organization' didn't go unnoticed by the Avengers. Before they could say anything, Sam came around the counter with a huge pot of some sort of stew. Everyone moved to sit down.

"Dinner is served, and Jason, Percy, have as much as you want. We always have more," Sam announced smiling at the two.

"Yeah, with the two super soldiers and Peter, we go through a lot of food, and Thor is the same way when he's here," Tony stated.

"Umm, I have a question. Why are you glad my name wasn't Peter Johnson?" Peter asked mid-way through dinner. Percy croaked a little, and Jason chuckled.

"One of our camp directors - he doesn't like us, and goes out of his way to try and make our lives miserable, and one of the things he likes to do, mostly to just annoy us, is to get our names wrong." Jason explained.

"Yep. Peter Johnson seems to be a favorite for him, I have been called Perry Jacobson and a bunch of other names." Percy said, a little annoyed. "I mean seriously is Percy Jackson that hard to say?"

"And you Jason?" Scott asked, he didn't like the way Jason was talking about this 'director' and he was hoping name calling was the worst of it...but that probably wasn't true.

"John Green" he sighed.

"Do you guys call him names back?" Tony asked. Both teens frowned.

"No, he threatened to kill this new kid because he called Mr. D "the wine dude." He mostly doesn't want anything to do with us, and lucky for us, he is a lazy drunk most of the time. The only time he actively interacts with us is when dishes out punishments, which I think he enjoys a little too much." Percy shuddered. Jason shot Percy a glance. He thought mentioning Mr. D as the wine dude was a bad idea, hopefully they didn't make the connection to Dionysus.
