The Purple-Gold Dragon Spear shimmered with magnificent dragon patterns, pinning Qing Yan's body to the ground. The spear's tail vibrated faintly, emanating an aura of absolute dominance.
Though Qing Yan was a Half Saint, before this mysterious weapon's might he had no strength to resist. His throat was pierced through, and the vitality within him drained away completely.
He could feel the life ebbing from his body, yet could do nothing. His dimming eyes stared blankly ahead—where a noble figure approached, surrounded by radiant purple-golden light.
The woman's long gown was entirely of purple-gold silk, embroidered with dragons and phoenixes that seemed to come alive, exuding an aura of unmatched royalty.
Her figure was tall and graceful; long violet hair cascaded like a waterfall down her slender waist, flowing to the curve of her hips. Her beauty was ethereal, and within her purple-golden eyes flickered a mysterious, captivating light. Beneath that gaze, even heaven and earth seemed to bow.
This was Zi Yan—awakened. With the crystalline layer of condensed medicinal power from the Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit fully refined by Liu Xi, her strength had been completely restored.
Every gaze turned toward her, stunned by her majesty—then, in the next moment, fixed upon her back.
There, a pair of purple-golden wings several meters long slowly unfurled, their movement stirring faint sounds of wind and thunder that made hearts tremble.
"Ancient Heaven Phoenix Wings… and the True Body of the Ancient Dragon!"
The dragons of East Dragon Island were trembling with excitement. In the next instant, one after another, they fell from the sky to kneel, their voices filled with reverent awe.
"Greetings to the Dragon Emperor!"
Even Zhu Li and Qi You, breaking free from their own battles, bowed deeply. Their opponents, shocked by Zi Yan's bloodline might, dared not lift a hand.
"Greetings to the Dragon Emperor!"
Zhu Li and Qi You's aged faces glowed with pride and joy as they knelt together.
The dragons of East Dragon Island were elated—but the other three islands stood frozen in unease. Xia Ao swallowed hard, his voice trembling. "A fully awakened royal bloodline…"
Man Yan's expression was conflicted. Around him, the Barbaric Dragon Army was already losing their will to fight, their hearts subdued by the bloodline's power.
'Perhaps… East Dragon Island's faith was not misplaced after all.'
Zi Yan's golden gaze swept across the sky. The kneeling dragons of East Dragon Island filled her with quiet pride, but the warriors of the other three islands stood out like stains upon perfection.
Her eyes gleamed coldly. The sharpness in them made Xia Ao and Man Yan tremble as if stabbed by invisible blades. The thought of Qing Yan's fate made their throats dry and their legs weak.
"To stand before your Emperor and not kneel—what is your intent?"
Her voice was calm, yet each word struck like divine thunder. The pressure of her presence tore through the soul.
The soldiers of the West and South Dragon Armies looked at one another uneasily. Under the weight of her royal aura, their bodies wanted to kneel—but they still sought guidance from their commanders.
Yet Xia Ao and Man Yan were cursing inwardly. To yield meant betraying their Dragon Kings; to resist meant certain death.
"Heh…"
Xia Ao gave a dry laugh. Even he could feel his back bending involuntarily under the pressure. His voice quavered.
"We serve under the West Dragon King. Since our King is not present, we dare not meet the Emperor without permission. Please forgive us, Your Majesty. We will return and persuade our Lord to come pay his respects!"
Man Yan bobbed his head repeatedly beside him. "Yes, yes, I… I agree as well!"
Zi Yan frowned. The divine light around her blazed fiercely. Her violet hair fluttered in the storm of power, her purple-golden wings spreading wide as she rose into the air. Rings of radiant light pulsed outward.
Her voice, serene yet laced with overwhelming authority, shook the heavens. "Within the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe, there is only one Emperor. There are no Kings. To speak of 'Dragon Kings' is treason!"
Xia Ao's entire body broke into cold sweat. He bowed his head deeply, trembling. 'To mention the Dragon Kings before the Dragon Emperor—am I seeking death myself?'
"I—!" he stammered, but her gaze cut him short.
"Do you understand your crimes?"
Her eyes turned upon the dragons of the other islands—the Dragon Armor Army, the Barbaric Dragon Army, and others. Despite their fear, Zi Yan saw the potential in them. If she was to unite the tribe, they would be valuable soldiers. And under her royal bloodline, betrayal was impossible.
Many faces wavered with inner struggle. Their instincts screamed submission, yet long years under the Three Dragon Kings made them hesitate.
The dragons of East Dragon Island glared fiercely, their voices rising in unison. "Do you understand your crimes?!"
The shout exploded like thunder.
Before the might of the true Dragon Emperor, resistance crumbled. The Dragon Armor Army and Barbaric Dragon Army could no longer endure the suppression—they fell to their knees, shouting in a ragged chorus:
"Greetings to the Dragon Emperor!"
The last traces of defiance faded. Their loyalty shifted; no longer to the Dragon Kings—but to the one true ruler before them.
Only Xia Ao and Man Yan remained standing, trembling and pale, trying to resist the bloodline's pressure.
Seeing their soldiers kneeling broke something inside them. Their fists clenched, their eyes hollow with despair. Whether they served the Kings or the Emperor, men like them would always be caught between powers—and discarded when no longer needed.
"Stubborn fools."
Zi Yan's tone turned cold. She was done wasting time. A brilliant purple-golden light burst from her body as a dragon-shaped seal rose above her head.
The Dragon Seal floated high, radiating divine majesty. Its glow connected heaven and earth. Every dragon of East Dragon Island—Zhu Li, Qi You, and countless others—felt warmth surge through their veins, their bloodline resonating, their strength rising.
Their eyes shone with awe, fixed upon the Dragon Seal.
Meanwhile, the dragons of the other islands felt terror creep into their bones. The oppressive force from Zi Yan magnified tenfold, while their own bloodline power began to fade—sealed away by the Emperor's might.
To lose their bloodline was to lose their very strength. The realization struck them with despair.
Zi Yan's cold voice rang out once more. "Capture all invaders from the three islands. Imprison them within the Dragon Prison. Remove the loyalists of the Three Dragon Kings, and the rest shall be judged and reassigned. Tend to our wounded immediately."
"Yes!" the Dragon Guards roared in unison.
They leapt into action, subduing the remaining invaders—though resistance was futile. Even Xia Ao and Man Yan could only stare blankly as they were bound. The Dragon Seal's divine power had stripped their bloodlines bare.
As they were dragged away, both muttered endlessly under their breath, their eyes glazed and lost.
"Dragon Seal… Dragon Emperor… Dragon Emperor's legacy…"
