As soon as I walked away from Eiri and the director, my mother and Rina approached me.
"Hey, hey, what was that? Wasn't that different from what you'd talked about? You were supposed to kiss her, weren't you?" She had an irritating smile on her face.
"I was supposed to kiss her. She went off-script. But the director liked it, so whatever."
"I have to admit, I laughed when she kissed you and your eyes went wide. You clearly weren't expecting that. It definitely made the acting feel much more natural. So cute~~"
I looked at my mother but said nothing.
Then I headed back to my dressing room and said, "I don't want to talk about it anymore. I'm going to take off my makeup and change clothes. Rina, let Daiki know we're going to a restaurant after we leave here."
"Hm? All of a sudden?" My mother looked confused.
"I told Eiri I'd have dinner with her, so now I have to go."
"Wow, you two are already that close?"
"We're just coworkers going out for dinner together. I've said this before, haven't I? I don't feel anything special for her."
"Even though she's so beautiful?" my mother asked. "Oh, right. You already like someone, don't you? That girl with glasses~~"
"..."
I didn't say anything, and my mother took that as confirmation.
"Wait, are you talking about that girl I met at his school? That cute girl who wears glasses? Kyo likes her?" Rina asked.
"You didn't know? Kyo has been in love with her for a long time!"
"Mom, that's enough!"
"Alright, alright, I'll stop, hehehe!" My mother laughed.
Rina then moved closer to my mother, and the two of them started whispering. They think I can't hear them, but I can. They're talking about me and Miu.
'I'll just ignore it.'
After removing my makeup, I changed clothes and left the dressing room. As soon as I stepped outside, Eiri was already waiting for me. She hadn't removed her makeup, only changed her clothes.
Not that she had been wearing heavy makeup in the first place.
"Ready? And they... are they coming with us?" Eiri asked.
She clearly didn't want my mother and Rina tagging along.
"No, it'll just be you and me. Right?" I looked at my mother and Rina.
The two of them had assumed they would be coming with me, so they looked disappointed.
"Yes, don't worry. I'll ask your father to come pick me up," my mother said.
"And I'll call a taxi," Rina added.
"Hm? You have a driver, right, Kyo?" Eiri asked.
"Yeah, I do."
"Have him take those two. You can come with me in my car. What do you think?"
I smiled and said, "Sure."

I left the studio with Eiri, and the moment we stepped outside, several cameras started taking pictures of us together. Neither of us paid any attention to them, and I followed her toward the parking lot.
Strange rumors probably wouldn't start since everyone already knew I was filming a movie with her.
When I arrived at Eiri's car, I noticed it was less luxurious than the one provided by Amuse Inc., but it was still a nice car. A tall man wearing a suit opened the door for us.
After closing the door behind us, he got into the driver's seat, and Eiri said,
"The usual restaurant."
"Yes, ma'am."
The car started moving.
"The usual restaurant? Do you eat out often?"
"Actually, I do it almost every day. My mother is too busy to cook, and I'm too lazy to do it myself."
She probably doesn't earn enough to hire a housekeeper.
"I see. I don't like cooking either, even though I'm pretty talented at it."
"You're talented at cooking? I highly doubt that."
"Yes, I am."
After all, my cooking skill is Rank S, just like everything else. Whenever I make a sandwich or a simple snack, it turns out really good.
"I see..." Eiri clearly didn't believe me. Well, there wasn't much I could do to convince her.
We continued talking, and Eiri never once brought up the kiss. As the minutes passed, I started to feel closer to her. She's surprisingly friendly.
I'd never talked to her much at the studio despite working with her.
I never really talk much with my coworkers. During the filming of the series, I didn't get particularly close to the other actors either. The only one whose number I have is Aya Fuji's, but I always ignore her whenever she tries to contact me.
Eventually, the car came to a stop.
We had arrived in front of a surprisingly simple-looking restaurant.
The driver got out and opened the door for Eiri, but before he could open mine, I opened it myself and stepped out.
'This is a busy street.'
I hadn't brought glasses or a mask to hide my identity.
You might think I'm being full of myself, but getting recognized on the street has become fairly common for me.
Whether it's fans of my novels and Dragon Ball, or followers from my Instagram who keep up with my work as a model and actor.
I quickly walked inside the restaurant, and Eiri followed behind me.
"Hey, hey, why are you in such a hurry?"
"I don't want to be recognized here. I don't want to deal with a fan."
"Wow, do people recognize you that often?"
"Yeah. But it's not as great as you imagine."
"I can imagine it's a pain in the ass, hahaha."
"Well, look who's here. Eiri, welcome back."
A woman dressed elegantly approached us.
She introduced herself as Maika, the owner of the restaurant and also a friend of Eiri's mother.
After chatting for a bit, we were taken directly to a reserved table and left alone. Fortunately, nobody in the restaurant recognized me. I let out a relieved sigh as soon as I sat down.
"Even though the restaurant looks pretty simple from the outside, the interior is quite luxurious, huh?"
"Yeah, it's very nice," Eiri said.
A waiter soon appeared, served us water, and took our orders. As soon as our orders were taken and the waiter walked away, Eiri suddenly asked,
"Kyo, do you have a girlfriend?"
What's with that question all of a sudden?
