I left the house with my mother and got into the car along with Daiki and Rina. The car started moving. "Where are the scenes being filmed?" I asked Rina, since I had no idea.
I had some notion of the scenes we'd be shooting today because Rina had sent me the script in advance. It's a scene where Sota is walking down the street and runs into a former girlfriend.
It's a short scene.
There are also other scenes we'll shoot today, like one where I go to a restaurant with my brother and his girlfriend, and another where I go to a karaoke place with some people.
All extras.
This is the first scene where Sota will be shown as "trash." Or rather, a foolish womanizer.
After driving for a while, we arrived near Ueno Park, the same place where I had taken photos before.
But unlike before, part of the park was closed off, and there was a large number of production staff everywhere.
Besides the crew, there were also actors who would serve as extras.
As soon as I got closer, someone from the crew led me to a nearby trailer. It was a mobile dressing room. I went in with my mother.

This time, there was no table read. The same makeup artist came into my trailer and took care of my hair, and then they handled my wardrobe. It took less than an hour to get ready.

He started explaining how the scene would go while the staff handled the audio and the extras got into position.
Everything happened quickly, and I acted calmly. It all felt very natural.
Then the actress who would be acting with me appeared. She was older than me, with long black hair and a cute face. Her name is Aoi Hoshino. She's a rookie actress, just like me.
However, this isn't her first role.
"Nice to meet you." She approached with a smile and extended her hand.
I shook her hand and then bowed slightly. "Nice to meet you. Let's get along." I smiled gently at her.
The director then said, "You two should talk a bit. We'll start in fifteen minutes."
Then he walked off and began shouting at some staff members.
"Your name is Kyo, right?"
"Yes, Kyo Evans. My last name is foreign because my father isn't Japanese."
"I see."
"And you're Aoi Hoshino, right? I was surprised when I saw your photo. You're very beautiful."
"Don't say things like that~~ You're making me embarrassed." Aoi said, walking beside me and lightly bumping her shoulder against mine. "Is this your first time filming a series?"
"I've shot some scenes in a studio before, but it's my first time working outdoors. This series is my first job as an actor."
"And what do you think?"
"It's fun. I like acting."
"I see~~ I like it too, but I prefer singing." Aoi laughed and moved even closer to me. For a moment, I thought she was going to grab my hand. "Ah, sorry. I tend to get too close to people without realizing."
"It's fine."
I sat down next to Aoi, and we watched the staff finish setting things up.
The only actors here, aside from the extras, were me and Aoi.

"And you, do you like singing?"
I was surprised by Aoi's question.
"Singing? I'm good at it, but I don't like it much. I think I'd rather write a song than sing one."
"Write? You can write songs?"
"I've never tried, but I want to in the future."
"Why don't you write a song for me to sing? We can exchange contact info."
"Hmm…" After thinking for a bit, I ended up giving Aoi my number.
She's being a bit too friendly.
I can tell when a girl is interested in me.
And she knows my age…
"Kyo! Aoi!"

POV: Third Person
When filming began, Kyo started walking with his hands in his pockets while the camera followed him. The extras also began moving according to the director's instructions.
Then "Taiga," Sota's ex-girlfriend, appeared.
Aoi, who played Taiga, acted as if she were surprised when she saw Sota.
She hesitated about whether she should approach him. But since she still had some feelings for him, she decided to go up to him.
However, before she could deliver her first line—
"Cut!" Director Hayashida shouted. "That's wrong! You're not supposed to smile like that, Aoi! Let's start over."
"I'm sorry." Aoi lowered her head in embarrassment and apologized.
Then the scene restarted.
And again—
"Cut!" Director Hayashida shouted. "Aoi, what was that look? Are you thinking about something else during filming? You need to focus."
Aoi had even stumbled.
Kyo looked at Aoi, who was extremely embarrassed, and sighed.
'This is going to take longer than I expected.'
And just as Kyo thought, filming with Aoi really did take a long time.
She kept making mistake after mistake, and it took more than two hours to finish a scene that should have been simple.
The director's impatience was palpable.
When the scene was finally completed, Aoi tried to find Kyo to talk to him, but he had already gotten into a car and left for the next filming location.
Aoi noticed that everyone was bothered by her acting and the delay, which made her very irritated.
She was someone who couldn't accept criticism.
Meanwhile, in the car, Kyo thought, 'Fortunately, she likes singing. I don't think her career as an actress will go very far.'
He felt a bit bad for thinking that, but it was the truth.
