"So… what you're saying right now is, there's a possibility Rafael was shot by someone sent by his grandmother?" Dimitri asked seriously, sitting with his legs crossed on the sofa in Rafael's study, deliberately keeping his distance from Viona so she wouldn't overhear them.
He sat across from Rodrique and Jane, his gaze drifting into the distance as if his mind were weighing something heavy after hearing Rodrique recount the phone call he had just received from Rafael.
"The gunshot was so loud that it's difficult not to draw that conclusion, sir. And… the person from the Delano side has a track record of killing people he shouldn't have killed. So…"
"I know our rescue team has been obstructed by the Delano team, and communication with them has been extremely difficult. But are you sure Rafael said he was already with our rescue team?"
"Yes, sir."
