Viona's POV
Suddenly, I felt something grab my thigh, sliding up before wrapping around my waist from behind.
"Aahh…" I yelped out of reflex, startled, kicking my legs as I tried to break free, almost slipping in the water.
Rafael's hands caught my waist at once, turning me and pulling me into him until I was pressed against his wet, broad chest.
I gasped, eyes wide, but the brown-haired man in front of me only smiled, satisfied and teasing.
"Rafael!" I snapped, hitting his sturdy chest. "Don't scare me like that in a place like this! I thought it was a snake swimming past me." I protested, pouting.
Yet he dared to giggle.
"Oh? But you don't regret it, right? The snake looks this handsome."
He leaned in, his face just inches from mine, and my cheeks warmed instantly.
His sly gaze locked onto mine, but my heart pounded too hard, forcing my eyes to dart away, scanning our surroundings instead.
