Viona's POV
"Hm… Did you faint without realizing you had started your period?"
My mouth opened slightly as realization hit me. But I couldn't answer her.
I was still stuck on the possibility that Rafael had cleaned my menstrual blood and put the pad on me.
I squeezed my eyes shut as heat rushed to my cheeks. I could imagine how red my face must look from the small smile on the nurse's lips.
"Your blood pressure is normal now, and your body temperature is stable," she said. "We just need to wait until the IV is finished. If you need anything, press this button and call me, ma'am. I'll prepare your breakfast. Ah, does the water sound bother you? Doctor Rafael said it might help calm your nerves, but he told me to ask you in case it disturbs you. Should I turn it off or close the door?"
"N–no… just leave it."
She smiled and excused herself, leaving the room and leaving me alone with the mess of emotions swirling inside me.
