Chapter 59 - The Wolf King’s Gambit

Volume 4, Chapter 4: The Wolf King's Gambit

The night sky burned crimson over the Vathra plains. The ex-lover, now fully consumed by darkness, raised his arms, summoning cursed beasts of every shape and size.

> "This world will witness my vengeance!" he roared.

"She, her clan, and all who oppose me… will burn!"

Wolves with black flames, serpents with shadowed scales, and twisted monsters filled the plains, obeying his every command.

A Silent Arrival

From the edge of the battlefield, a lone figure watched, hooded and calm—Cael under a new alias: "Riven Kael".

No aura flared, no shadow betrayed him.

Yet the cursed beasts recoiled subtly, instinctively sensing Absolute Atomic energy.

> "Selene… time to observe," Cael whispered.

"Let him show his hand. His mistakes will make him weak."

The First Intervention

As the fox girl stepped forward to fight, she was immediately overwhelmed.

A single sweep of invisible power from Cael erased dozens of cursed beasts, leaving the girl unharmed but confused.

The Wolf King's cultists faltered, unsure who or what had attacked.

> "Who dares interfere?" her ex shouted, fury mixing with fear.

> "A passerby," Cael said softly, watching from the shadows.

"Someone interested in balance… and profit."

The Game Begins

Cael's goal was not to reveal himself, only to manipulate events from behind the scenes.

The fox girl, seeing fragments of invisible assistance, felt a deep sense of déjà vu, memories brushing her mind like fleeting shadows.

Her ex, enraged and confused, poured more power into his cursed beasts, unknowingly walking into a trap meticulously set by Cael.

> "Patience," Cael whispered to Selene.

"Let him believe he is powerful. Let her grow strong enough to fight… and then, the pieces fall exactly where I want them."

The Absolute Shadow's Influence

The battlefield shifted subtly:

Trees bent to obscure movement, streets reshaped slightly, and shadows masked Cael's hand at every point.

The fox girl moved more confidently, guided by unseen protection.

Every cursed beast that survived had already been marked, ready for Cael's next invisible strike.

> "Let them think they control fate," Cael murmured.

"Shadows will always decide the outcome… and Absolute Atomic remains untouchable."

The crimson sky reflected faintly in his eyes, a reminder: even in the chaos of revenge, Cael controls the shadows, the battlefield, and the unseen.
