Joshua let out a long sigh before finally speaking.
"Come to think of it, doing nothing is probably the most logical option," he said with a shrug. "Seriously, we're just regular students. Fighting thugs on the street isn't part of the school curriculum."
Theo snorted, clearly still unwilling to accept that. But even Alvano, who was usually stubborn, began to think about it.
In truth, he hadn't completely let go of everything that happened. After all, they almost died yesterday. But he also realized that acting purely out of revenge wasn't smart.
Arwen smiled at their expressions. "At least I can help you until this matter is completely resolved."
Theo looked at her, then smiled faintly. "I don't even know what to say, but… thanks, Arwen. Seriously, you've helped us a lot."
Alvano nodded, also feeling indebted.
Arwen shook her head. "No need to thank me. I just want to do good. If I can help someone, why not?"
Theo chuckled, then joked, "You're like an angel who came down to earth, you know that?"
They all laughed together, the atmosphere becoming lighter. Without realizing it, the time had already shown 5:40 p.m.
Arwen glanced at her phone. "I have to go now. See you at school tomorrow."
Joshua also prepared to leave. They said their goodbyes and stepped out of the house together, followed by Theo and Alvano.
However, before leaving, Joshua briefly pulled Arwen aside and spoke to her in a low voice.
Theo and Alvano didn't pay much attention from afar, but Theo glanced over curiously.
Joshua looked at Arwen with slight hesitation, then asked, "Why are you doing all this for them?"
Arwen smiled faintly, then replied, "Because I want to be friends with Alvano and Theo… and with you too."
Arwen nodded softly. A moment later, the sound of a car horn echoed. A neatly dressed chauffeur stepped out of a luxurious black sedan, opening the door for Arwen.
Arwen turned to Theo and Alvano. "See you tomorrow."
Theo waved with a wide grin, while Alvano simply nodded.
Meanwhile, a black SUV stopped in front of Theo's house. Joshua walked casually toward his car, opened the back door, and got in unhurriedly.
Before the car drove off, he rolled down the window and glanced at Theo and Alvano. "Don't do anything stupid. We're meeting at school tomorrow."
Theo snorted. "Whatever, big boss."
Joshua chuckled lightly before the car drove away.
After the two of them left, Alvano looked at Theo with a suspicious expression. "What do you think they were talking about?"
Theo shrugged. "No idea. But if Joshua suddenly starts paying more attention to Arwen, I wouldn't be surprised."
They both chuckled softly, then went back inside, enjoying the rest of the evening that was slowly turning into night.
Alvano sat on the sofa with a determined expression. "I've decided, Theo. I want to learn martial arts from you."
Theo, who was busy with his phone, only glanced at him briefly before returning his attention to the screen. "What are you even thinking, you weirdo?"
Alvano insisted. "I'm serious. I don't want to be someone who can only run away when there's trouble. I want to be able to protect myself… and others."
Theo finally put down his phone, looking at his friend with slight amusement. "Do you even realize your body isn't fully healed yet? Even if I wanted to train you now, you'd collapse within five minutes."
"But—"
"Listen first," Theo cut him off. "I'll teach you martial arts, but on one condition."
Alvano frowned. "What?"
"You have to fully recover first and finish physical training with me."
Alvano snorted, a little frustrated. He needed time to fully heal, but he didn't want to delay any longer either.
Not wanting to lose, he suddenly raised his hand and used his Telekinesis. The cup on the table trembled, then quickly floated toward him. He caught it easily, then looked at Theo with a triumphant expression.
"See? I'm strong enough!" he said proudly.
Theo only smirked, his eyes narrowing slightly as if suppressing laughter. "Oh, so you're challenging me now?" he said playfully.
Alvano pleaded with a hopeful look, but Theo remained firm in his decision. "No matter how cool your power is, you still need a solid physical foundation. So until you finish your physical training, martial arts are off the list."
Alvano exhaled deeply. "Alright… I accept the condition."
Theo smiled in satisfaction. "Good. Be ready, we start tomorrow."
Theo leaned against the wall, looking at Alvano with a relaxed yet challenging expression. "Show me your Telekinesis again."
Alvano looked at him doubtfully. "Why?"
Theo grinned. "I want to see it more clearly. Do you really think after just one day of practice you can control it perfectly?"
Alvano frowned, feeling slightly underestimated. He raised his hand and tried to move the glass on the table. The glass trembled briefly before slowly floating toward him. However, as it reached his hand, he felt a sharp pain in his arm, causing him to wince.
Theo chuckled. "See? Still far from perfect."
Alvano sighed. He knew Theo was right, but still, he wanted to master it as soon as possible.
"Listen, Vano," Theo said more seriously. "Your Telekinesis is cool, but it has limits. You can only move one object within an eight-meter radius. And the side effect? Your body takes the physical strain. If you keep forcing it, your muscles could get damaged."
Alvano fell silent. He knew Theo was right.
"That's why I'm telling you to build up your body first. Without a strong body, even martial arts are useless."
Alvano finally nodded, though still a bit reluctant. "Alright… But at least teach me the basics later."
Theo smiled with satisfaction. "Later, not now."
Alvano sighed, then glanced at the wall clock. It was already quite late.
Theo folded his arms. "It's late. Go home before your grandpa worries for the second time."
Alvano groaned, knowing Theo was right. "Alright, alright."
Theo immediately grabbed his motorcycle key, his excitement soaring as soon as he saw his new, sleek, and gorgeous bike. He caressed its body with admiration.
"Ah, this bike is pure heaven…" he muttered in awe.
Alvano rolled his eyes, then patted Theo's head lightly. "Enough, let's go."
Theo hopped on and started the engine, the sound smooth yet powerful. With agility, he drove Alvano home.
The night wind blew, the streets were quiet, and deep inside, Alvano knew—he was still weak, but he truly wanted to grow stronger, even if it was impossible to do so in such a short time.
