Chapter 17 - Making the Celestial Dragon Watch Themselves Wear Collars

Uchiha Madara was furious — not merely because of what had just happened, but because the very existence of this world's Celestial Dragon filled him with disgust.

In the Shinobi World, Madara had long seen himself as a mastermind — a shadow ruler pulling the strings.

Yet at his core, he was someone who pursued justice.

It was only that his method of pursuing peace was… extreme.

When the world had lost its way, when hope and trust had vanished, Madara chose an equally radical path —

to create a Genjutsus, a perfect world where no conflict could exist: the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

His andSenju Hashirama 's ideals had always been the same — peace.

But his pride, his unwillingness to live in another man's shadow, had driven them apart.

He once claimed he didn't like hiding in the dark — and yet, to realize his so-called "path to peace," he willingly became a ghost operating from behind the scenes.

That fragile bond between him andSenju Hashirama had cracked when the contents of the Uchiha Stone Tablet were altered by Black Zetsu.

From that moment onward, Madara stopped trusting anyone.

He decided he would change the world by himself — by force.

If everything in existence was under his control, then conflict would cease forever.

In a sense, had his plan succeeded, it would have brought eternal peace — a world without suffering, without death.

But only because everyone would be trapped inside an Genjutsus, their will stripped away.

The tragedy was that he discovered too late that Infinite Tsukuyomi was nothing but a lie — a manipulation meant to resurrect Kaguya Ōtsutsuki Ōtsutsuki.

Even with all his experience, Madara had never seen creatures like the Celestial Dragon.

The arrogance, the hypocrisy, the way the people of this world groveled before them without the slightest thought of resistance — it made his blood boil.

That was why, when Lin Xuan suggested putting slave collars and shackles on the Celestial Dragon, Madara cooperated without hesitation.

He understood Lin Xuan's intent.

To drag the so-called gods down from their altar.

To make the world see that these "divine nobles" were nothing more than pathetic mortals.

And that was something Madara himself wanted to do.

With the Rinnegan's power, he soon found the collars and shackles and prepared to personally fasten them around the Celestial Dragon' necks.

Just then, the guards and soldiers who had been knocked unconscious by Rayleigh's Conqueror's Haki began to wake up.

When they saw Madara walking toward Saint Rosward's family with three slave collars in hand, they nearly fainted all over again.

"Oh my god! What is he doing?!"

"He's actually going to collar the Celestial Dragon!?"

"He's turning them into slaves! He's gone insane!"

Their terrified cries echoed throughout the hall.

Instinct told them to intervene, but reason — and the memory of Madara's overwhelming power — told them otherwise.

Charging in would only mean certain death.

So, with a mixture of panic and despair, they exchanged glances, then broke and ran for their lives.

All they could think was: Run. Run now. Take our families and flee the Sabaody Archipelago before the Marines arrive. Maybe there's still a chance to live.

Lin Xuan didn't stop them. They were useless to him now anyway.

The System had explained that each person could only provide him a limited amount of Prestige Points per day — five "harvests" before a cooldown period.

And honestly, the numbers these small fry provided were far too insignificant to interest him anymore.

Madara didn't even spare the fleeing guards a glance. His attention returned to the three Celestial Dragons lying unconscious on the floor.

Then, a thought flashed in his mind.

A soft but vibrant chakra aura pulsed from his hands and enveloped the three.

Rayleigh blinked, not understanding what Madara was doing.

But Lin Xuan did — he was healing them.

A grin tugged at Lin Xuan's lips. "Ahh, I see — you're waking them up, aren't you?"

Madara gave a curt nod. "That's right. I want these arrogant fools to watch as they're collared like the slaves they think they own."

Lin Xuan burst out laughing. "Excellent idea! Let them see it with their own eyes. I'm joining in too."

He eagerly picked up one of the collars Madara had dropped, his expression alight with anticipation.

Even Rayleigh — the former first mate of the Pirate King himself — felt his scalp go numb.

He could barely stop himself from bolting.

This man, Uchiha Madara… when he decided to act, there was no limit to his madness.

Under the influence of Madara's chakra, the injuries of Saint Rosward and his family began to mend, and the three slowly regained consciousness.

As they blinked awake, they saw Lin Xuan and Madara walking toward them — each holding a gleaming metal collar.

Panic filled their eyes.

Saint Rosward shouted in horror, "Y-you… what are you doing?!"

Lin Xuan chuckled darkly. "Oh, nothing much. I just want you to see what it's like to wear one of these — to feel what it means to be a slave."

"What—?!"

The three Celestial Dragons were beside themselves with fury.

Saint Charlos shrieked, his face purple with rage. "Are you insane?! Do you have any idea who we are?! We are World Nobles! We have the supreme authority over all life!"

Madara sneered. "World Nobles? Hah. What a joke."

He raised a collar, his Rinnegan gleaming ominously.

"Let's see how noble you look wearing this."

And with a decisive motion —

Clack!

The collar snapped shut around Saint Charlos's neck.
