In a whole different universe not found anywhere near ours, there were special traits known as abnormalities. In this world, every single soul was born with one. It was identified at age 7, awakened at age 21.
And yes, here I was, in this strange world. At agee 7, I had my abnormality checked. Oddly enough, I was diagnosed with a rare abnormality known as, 'SCENARIO'.
For a fact, even my parents couldn't comprehend it's name. The doctors on the other hand who identified it, called it new and dangerous. But no matter how much the doctors insisted on explaining on what it actually was to them, they denied on hearing it's definition. All this because, they wanted it to be a surprise.
I actually never cared about that. All that was racing through my thoughts was that one gorgeous lady I saw a few blocks away.
Anyways, years passed and I finally reached 21. It was my favorite year actually. I finally had that beautiful lady years back, to like me back.
It was quite an achievement.
Either way, my parents were anxious waiting for my awakening. It was a late one in fact. Months still expecting it, the day finally drew.
One Saturday, I decided to have lunch with my parents before going to the woman of my dreams to propose to her. To proceed, lunch was served with pasta, twirled in a rich and creamy sauce with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and and fresh basil on top. Mmm... It fragrance wasn't disappointing either.
Lunch started all well and quiet. Twirling my fork in the dish, I scooped a mouthful of noodles. Anxious on knowing how it would taste, I rose the fork in the air heading straight towards my mouth and just when I was about to take a bite,... Suddenly, it all started. The awakening began. In an instant, glitches began to form on my palms, slowly spreading upwards. My parents thrilled after seeing it, decided to witness the awakening.Dumbfounded of what was happening, I watched assertively.
Wow! My parents were amazed. The glitches continued forming on my hands, and in seconds my arms were covered by it. ' Beautiful! ' they exclaimed. It all looked like a light show around my arms. In about minutes the glitches not only covered my body, but spreaded across the room. Soon enough everywhere around was glitching.
My parents were amazed and happy, they both knew that finally their son would be able to achieve high hero rankings with this unique abnormality of his.
But to me, there was something. There was this unknown force, which persistently dragged me. I felt like nothing about this was good. But there they were, my parents. Not even one noticed how well the glitching swallowed the area. They were too excited. I should have been too, but I couldn't. Something kept bothering my thoughts, what did glitches have anything to do with SCENARIO, or had my abnormality began malfunctioning.
All these thoughts scattered in my head. Then suddenly... Silence!
Nothing around uttered a sound. In fact everything around, was frozen, nothing fidgeted. I noticed how all was frozen including my parents, who to my surprise later started glitching also.
Frightened, I got up to hold them but strangely, I phased through as if they were holograms. What in the world was going on? I thought the doctors identified my abnormality as Scenario.
Flummoxed, I quickly ran outside. It was all the same with the environment. Everything glitching and frozen in distance.Quickly, I made a run and headed for my lady's home just two blocks away.
But there was no difference. I hastily knocked on her door. But before my fist made contact, it phased through it too. I quickly run through it entering her house.
Looking around, I finally saw her. There she was, complete beauty right in front. But all to my notice, unfortunately, she too stood frozen and also glitching. My one morning star, standing all timid and cold. What an ashame, we couldn't even share a kiss.
I tried holding her, but matter won't comprehend my touch. It all revolved around my head, it looked as if I was the only person aware of what attributed around me. All of a sudden, everything around started to fade in bits away.
I kept thinking, could this be the end?, was this death or could this all be the cause of my abnormality? How could the word Sce-na-rio, contribute to all this mayhem? All I wanted was a normal life with my love. But here I am, watching it disrupt away like a mirage.
Few moments later I begun to also fade in bits. Apathetic and hopeless, I stood there still as I watched my self fade away.
Finally, every bit of me was gone, disappeared, done, finito! My conscience still around, I stared at vacuum and nothingness. Then
all of a sudden...
I emerged into a whole different world and character. Weirdly, I was dressed up as a poor farmer in a huge farm. I had no idea what was going. Confused I stood there with a hoe, in my hand.
Then from afar, children as young as six, ran to me yanking on my baggy knicker I wore. As friendly as they all where, pleaded that should hurry up with the harvesting. Oddly enough, they called me dad.
Though I was baffled, I had no choice, but to play along and harvest the plants with my hoe. Well, it was not tough though, but I managed to survive with my surrounding resources along with my children.
Everything went on as normal. Then on the fifth day, the glitches returned. All like the other time, everything glitched and froze. Perplexed about why it happened again, I helpless faded into abyss leaving my children, frozen and lifeless.
Staring at nothingness, all of a sudden, I emerged once again.
Not as a farmer this time, but as a sailor in a violent ocean. Insanely by pure luck, I managed to survive. It was peace again, everything remained placid. I managed to sail back home, where I lived alone with not even a pet as a companion.
But it did not end there. Again 5 days later, the glitches appeared. It finally hit me. All these thoughts ramaged through my head as I figured; Could this be my abnormality? Was this what the doctors intended on informing me?
DAMN IT! But my parents were too naive on listening. Like if we had known better we could have stopped it before it had even begun. All this wouldn't have happened. I guess from that time on, I was sticker in an endless loop of different worlds. This was my life from then.
Time to time, it kept on changing. With each scenario getting terrifying done the last. Whether human, animal or even an object, it happened to me. This loop had no door to escape. I kept seeing relatives in some scenarios and even my love in others. Every 5 days I got zapped into another world. And death,... it was like as if, a regular beverage for me.
All stranded and lost in my abnormality, I dwell in Scenarios were universes are hostile and life is harsh. All now is left is to stay a life and hope to get saved and return to my old special life.
Despite all these, it's all a matter of how I survive these scenes. Maybe there would be a way a chance,... Where I could go back. Till then, chaos...
