Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: The Superpower Fruit

After Zhang Tian rode his Azure Rathalos through the black passage, they arrived in the secret realm. It was a desert, a vast expanse of rolling yellow sand.

"A desert?" Zhang's eyes moved slightly.

"Zhang Tian, let's be careful. Bella and Bianca are outsiders, after all. Their words may not be correct," Cynthia said.

"Don't worry, I know," Zhang nodded. "Let's use the drone to scout ahead first." He took out the drone from his space backpack and began to survey the surrounding area. Half an hour later, he had explored the area around the entrance. It was as Bella had said: the most powerful Pokémon here was only Elite Four-level, no threat to him.

"Let's go, Azure Rathalos," he said, and they flew towards the southeast.

In the center of the desert, a huge, hundred-meter-tall tree was growing. On its branches were three watermelon-sized, pink fruits. They were the Ability Fruits. Under the tree lay a tall Tyranitar, the owner of the tree. A normal Tyranitar is only two meters tall; this one was over three.

[Tyranitar]

Level: 69 (Elite Four)

This Tyranitar was an Elite Four-level Pokémon. It was because of its existence that Bella and Bianca, and the people they had sent before them, could not get close to the tree.

"A Tyranitar," Zhang sighed. Once upon a time, an Elite Four-level Pokémon had been an invincible, unattainable existence in his eyes. Now, it could be easily defeated.

[Fair Mission Triggered: Defeat the Tyranitar!]

[Mission Reward: 1 Glory Point]

Nice to trigger the mission, Zhang thought, throwing a Poké Ball. The moment he did, the resting Tyranitar's eyes snapped open. It had had many dealings with human trainers and was very keen to the sound of a Poké Ball. By the time the ball landed, it was already on its feet and in a combat state.

"Heh!" The Terra Shogun Ceanataur, with the Seregios skull on its back, appeared. Zhang had sent it out because the Tyranitar was four times weak to Fighting-type moves, and the Ceanataur's main attacks were Fighting-type.

"Roar!" the Tyranitar growled angrily. A sandstorm rose, and it used Stone Edge, sending huge, sharp stones rising from the ground towards the Ceanataur.

"Spiral Crash!" The Ceanataur began to spin like a top, rushing towards the Tyranitar. BANG! BANG! It shattered the sharp stones. Its strength was not comparable to the Acidic Glavenus's, but it was still far beyond that of an ordinary Pokémon. Its base attack of 160, doubled by its ability to 320, was more than enough.

The Ceanataur broke through the Stone Edge and appeared before the Tyranitar.

"Protect!" a translucent barrier rose, blocking the Ceanataur's sharp arm blades.

Is it really fair that my monsters can't use Pokémon's status moves, while the other party can?Zhang couldn't help but complain.

The moment the barrier vanished, the Ceanataur appeared behind the Tyranitar in a horizontal circle, as if teleporting. It was its Rampant Speed Slash, a Fighting-type move with a +200% speed boost. The Tyranitar didn't have time to react. The snowy blade flashed, and the Ceanataur's arm blades cut the Tyranitar in half at the waist. This Tyranitar had killed many people, so Zhang had not held back. He liked Pokémon, but he was not a pedant. Murderers would always be killed.

The Tyranitar's body fell to the ground, bright red blood everywhere. This was the cruel wilderness. There was no right or wrong, only strength and weakness.

Seeing the beheaded Tyranitar, Cynthia and Bea frowned slightly. It was the first time they had truly felt the cruelty of the wild.

"Zhang Tian, with your strength, there was no need to kill it. You could have just stunned it," Bea couldn't help but say.

"If I had let it go, the next civilian trainer to venture into this secret realm would have lost their life because of it. Pokémon are no less intelligent than people, and they will take revenge. According to the information Bella gave me, this Tyranitar has killed a lot of people, every year. Since it chose to live by the law of the jungle, I will naturally give it the law of the jungle. It was strong, so it could kill people and slaughter other Pokémon. In the same way, I am strong, so I can naturally kill it. This was the path it chose," Zhang said in a low voice.

After hearing his words, Bea was silent.

"Okay, Bea, don't worry too much about it," Zhang said, rubbing her head with a smile. He recalled the Ceanataur and rode his Azure Rathalos to the top of the tree. He picked one of the Ability Fruits and took a bite. The fruit was the size of a watermelon. A normal person couldn't eat it all in one go, but for Zhang, a hunter, even ten would not be enough. The stronger the hunter, the more he ate.

"Zhang Tian, eat slowly. Don't be in such a hurry. This thing is not necessarily useful. I've eaten one before, and it was hard to finish, but it had no effect at all," Cynthia said, afraid he would choke.

"That's right. It depends on your talent. Otherwise, there would not be so few psychics. I've eaten one before, and it was useless," Bea added. Both of them had been born into top wealthy families, and though the fruits were precious, their elders had gotten them for them. Unfortunately, neither of them had become a psychic.

"Don't worry, I have a big appetite. This is not enough for me," Zhang smiled, quickly finishing the fruit. The moment he did, a system prompt appeared.

[You have eaten the Ability Fruit, awakened your psychic powers, and gained the Psychic-type. Your attributes have changed from Normal to Psychic.]

[You have comprehended Psystrike, Teleport...]

One after another, Zhang gained Psychic-type skills, as if he had become an Elite Four-level Psychic Pokémon. Now my strength is no less than that of an Elite Four-level Pokémon. I'm really a pervert, he thought, very satisfied with the changes.

"I made it!" he said to Cynthia and Bea, sharing his joy.

"Zhang Tian, you are really powerful," Cynthia said, giving him a thumbs up.

"When you battle in the future, you will definitely have an advantage," Bea added, a smile finally breaking through her serious expression. She was happy for him from the bottom of her heart.

Looking at the two happy women, Zhang's heart was full of warmth and tenderness. There is a saying: "afraid of a brother suffering, and afraid of a brother driving a Land Rover." How many people in the world sincerely hope that you will have a better life? Probably only real family, and people who really love you.

"You guys are so good," he smiled, giving them both a big hug. "Okay, we should go back." He put the other two fruits into his space backpack and flew towards the exit.

At the entrance to the secret realm, Bella and Bianca were waiting, bored. "Do you think they can succeed?" Bella couldn't help but ask.

"Absolutely. That kid is very good," Bianca replied lazily.

The moment she spoke, the Azure Rathalos flew out of the secret realm with Zhang, Cynthia, and Bea.

"You guys are finally out," Bella said, walking over.

"Fortunately, I was not disgraced," Zhang said, recalling his Rathalos and taking the two huge Ability Fruits from his space backpack.

"Thank you," Bella smiled, accepting them.

"Zhang Tian, have you successfully awakened your psychic powers?" Bianca suddenly asked, her face serious. As a champion-level psychic, she was very sensitive to such things. Although the fluctuation from Zhang was subtle, she had still discovered it.

"That's right," Zhang nodded.

"What? He became a psychic? Why didn't I find out?" Bella looked at him, confused.

"Because he is also an Elite Four-level psychic. If he deliberately hides it, you naturally won't be able to find out," Bianca said, her usual unruly and unreliable expression replaced with a cold seriousness.

"What? How can that be!" Bella was shocked. How could someone eat an Ability Fruit and become an Elite Four-level psychic? If that were possible, the price of the fruit would be a thousand times higher. Obviously, the fruit couldn't do that. The problem was with Zhang Tian. "Could it be that you are a psychic genius, one in ten thousand years? But if you were, you should have been able to awaken on your own."

"Maybe I was favored by fate and encountered a one-in-a-million probability," Zhang smiled softly, then used Teleport to leave with Cynthia and Bea.

"Is he really an Elite Four-level psychic? How can it be!" Bella stared at the place where they had disappeared, still in disbelief. It was a heavenly king-level superpower, not a cabbage.

"Don't believe it? The reality is right in front of you. This little guy is not ordinary. I can't see through him," Bianca said, shaking her head.

"He's really a monster. Do you think he can really become a champion-level trainer in two months?" Bella sighed.

"If it had been yesterday, I would have said it was impossible. But now, I somewhat believe his big words. This little guy can no longer be called a genius, but a monster, a real monster," Bianca said softly. To become an Elite Four-level psychic just by eating an Ability Fruit... if that wasn't a cheat code, what was?

"Xiaoyu, what do you think about me being his girlfriend?" Bianca asked with a smile.

"???" Bella tilted her head, confused. "Do you know what you're talking about? He has a girlfriend. Haven't you seen those two little girls? Besides, when you're old, people won't like you," she spat.

"I'm not old," Bianca smiled, a light flashing in her eyes.

Zhang, Cynthia, and Bea appeared on a street in Kyoto. The sudden appearance startled the pedestrians.

"Zhang Tian, it's him!" someone recognized him. At this point, he was more famous than any celebrity.

"Zhang Tian, can you sign for me?" a young girl asked excitedly, handing him a notebook.

"Yes," Zhang said, raising his hand slightly. The pen flew from the girl's hand and wrote his name in the notebook in a very straight, printed script.

"Thank you," the girl said happily.

"Don't thank me. I wish you to become a powerful trainer in the future," Zhang said with a smile, glancing at the Poké Ball on her waist.

"Zhang Tian, where are we going?" Bea asked.

"I'm going to challenge the Dragon Gym. Do you want to go together?" he said, looking at the map on the station.

"Of course. There's not much to do right now anyway," Bea nodded.

"Cynthia, what about you?"

"Naturally. The purpose of my coming to the Great Xia is to challenge the gyms," she replied.

"Then let's go," Zhang said, and after memorizing the location of the gym, he used Teleport. With a flash of pink light, they appeared in front of the Dragon Gym.

"Psychic powers are really useful," Cynthia sighed.
