Chapter 4 - 4

Aaron chuckled and waved to the distance.

A burly woman walked over from afar.

She nodded to Aaron.

"Your protection target needs to stay outside for a while. Take her to the coffee shop we just passed."

The woman nodded seriously, her expression cold and stern behind her sunglasses.

However, she still asked curiously, "Mr. Aaron, how did you find me?"

As a professional, she had been guarding from at least a hundred meters away.

"Do you think you're cool like that?"

Aaron rolled his eyes, looking unapproachable. He could see her clearly from several hundred meters away.

Of course, he actually discovered her through signals transmitted in the air.

He not only found her whereabouts but also "heard" her communication with Eleanor.

This was also an important reason why he confirmed her identity.

Eleanor suspected that the previous attack was a deliberate act planned by other security companies.

As the saying goes, fellow tradesmen are rivals.

What better way to damage a security company's reputation than for its owner to be unable to protect his own daughter?

Aaron was indifferent to these rivalries between colleagues; they paled in comparison to what he was about to do.

Aaron looked eagerly at the insect shop, waved to Kate, and walked in.

"Hello, sir, can I help you with anything?"

A disheveled middle-aged man's eyes lit up when he saw Aaron. Clearly, his shop wasn't doing well, and his enthusiasm was a bit over the top.

Aaron didn't pay attention to his overly enthusiastic face. He scanned the surroundings and said directly:

"Do you have green tiger beetles, bats, rotifers, green leaf sea slugs, sea urchins, Hercules beetles, ironclad beetles, pistol shrimp, mantis shrimp, planarians… here?"

"Wait!"

The middle-aged man had mixed feelings, even wondering if this person was making fun of him.

"Buddy, this is just an insect shop, not an insect research lab. Not even an insect specimen museum would have all the things you need at once."

"Just like green beetles, these are specialties of Dragon Country; buffalo ants are in Australia…"

"Many of them are also contraband, and customs would be difficult to get through."

Aaron pulled out a wad of US dollars from some pocket.

"Do you have them now?"

The middle-aged man's gaze was fixed on the money. "I remember now, I have some parts here, things I've treasured…"

Aaron pulled out two more wads of US dollars. "Now?"

"Brother! Even if I don't have them, I'll get them for you!"

The middle-aged man gritted his teeth. "I have many channels here to get you what you want."

"Even those contraband items… no problem!"

Aaron nodded and snapped his fingers. The middle-aged man's phone chimed.

"Everything I want is in the email. Bring out as much as you have directly now."

"The rest… get them for me as soon as possible."

"Money is not an issue!"

Aaron unceremoniously found a stool and sat down.

At the same time, he took out several more wads of US dollars.

"How much reward you get depends on your capability."

The middle-aged man's eyes turned red.

A big client!

He had been playing with insects for so many years, his wife had been scared away, he had no children, and even his last small shop was on the verge of bankruptcy, about to go back to hustling under a bridge.

Now, his insect hobby was finally turning his luck around!

"You wait!"

He said almost fawningly, quickly poured some water, then went into the back room. After a while of rummaging, he brought several glass cases to Aaron.

His face was full of reluctance. "These are the things you wanted. Some are not for sale… but seeing your sincerity, you must be an insect enthusiast. So I'll give all these to you…"

Aaron glanced at them.

Two large ironclad beetles, three rhinoceros beetles, two Hercules beetles, and several other types of dung beetles.

There were also several different kinds of spiders, including the black assassin sun-spider, famous in the insect fighting world.

And a few scorpions.

"Sir, these items cost me…"

"Ten thousand US dollars! Is that enough?"

Aaron pushed a wad of money across the table.

The middle-aged man nodded repeatedly. "Enough, enough! Sir, you are truly too generous!"

"That…"

"I hope the other items can be arranged as soon as possible, the faster the better! Alive or dead doesn't matter, but alive is best, and preferably three or more of each."

"Again, money is not an issue! I'm in a hurry, understand?"

Aaron was expressionless, suppressing his inner excitement, leisurely examining his "treasures."

"Of course, sir, the customer is God. I will fulfill your requests as quickly as possible!"

Aaron nodded and pushed out several more wads of cash.

"These are all deposits. If the money isn't enough, just tell me. My contact information is in the email."

"Remember, as soon as possible!!!"

Aaron didn't explain why he was doing this.

In this money-driven world, no amount of explanation was as useful as a stack of bright cash.

The middle-aged man nodded profusely, looking at Aaron as if he were the God of Wealth.

The email contained almost all kinds of insect families, and collecting them all would require a considerable cost.

But, with money, anything was possible!

He was going to get rich!

As long as he completed this deal, given this God of Wealth's generosity, he would earn at least hundreds of thousands!

As for what Aaron would use them for?

What did it matter to him?

Even if it was for releasing them into the wild, or creating biological invasions, that would be the government's headache.

Perhaps, it was for biological experiments? I'm also contributing to medical development!

The middle-aged man thought happily.

Aaron carried a large pile of items, covered with cloth, and easily carried them out.

He looked left and right, then hacked into nearby public surveillance, and his right hand, the black hole, immediately began to absorb.

Seeing this, Aaron couldn't help but complain, "It sounds awesome, but it still can't leave my hand. That's a bit low-class!"

"…Because you are weak!"

"The weather is really nice today!"

Aaron looked up at the sky. At some point, dark clouds had filled the sky, giving a dull feeling.

In a daze, a few crows seemed to caw as they flew by.

Chapter 6: Sweeping Through New York, Eleanor's Envy, Jealousy, and Hatred

"Oh, right, will smelting give me some weird abilities?"

Aaron thought of a terrifying scene: he would be wearing a thick beetle shell, with a long horn on his head, several sharp and agile long legs extending from his back, and terrifying bristles.

And at the base of his tailbone, a long tail with a poisonous stinger, comparable in length to his body.

No! Absolutely not!

Aaron liked getting stronger, but becoming non-human… was still hard to accept.

At least when he had a choice, he wouldn't accept that kind of change.

Temporary changes might still be acceptable?

"Please rest assured, I am you. The concepts I analyze all conform to your inner desires."

"Everything will have a positive effect on you."

"Of course, if you want it, I can also give it to you."

"Forget it, forget it!"

Aaron's brow twitched, unable to accept that kind of change.

When it came to becoming non-human, he'd rather let other brave warriors take on that task.

This time, a few seconds passed.

Then several rays of light flew out from his palm again.

Familiar power once again strengthened his body.

"Super Defense (Ironclad Beetle): You can withstand 39,000 times your body weight without dying."

"Super Strength (Hercules Beetle): Similar ability detected, merged. You will be able to lift objects 600 times your own weight and drag objects over 2000 times your own weight."

"Spider Sense (Super Perception Fusion Upgrade): Similar ability detected, merged. You can sense impending danger, keenly perceive any anomalies in the environment, and detect pheromones and signals in the air…"

"Web-Slinging: Can shoot out spider silk, which possesses powerful elasticity, strength, toughness, low-temperature resistance, etc. … equivalent to Spider-Man's webs."

"Toxin Immunity: You can be immune to some toxins."

"Toxin Production: Your glands can produce toxins at any time, capable of poisoning a cow to death within one minute."

"Super Vision: Similar ability detected, merged. You can see more colors and possess stronger dynamic vision…"

"Static Electricity Control: You can easily control the static electricity reaction on your body and other object surfaces. Any obstacle is like flat ground to you."

"Weaving Master: Your silk artistry has reached perfection…"

He became even stronger!

Aaron clenched his fist and swung it heavily, instantly creating a loud sonic boom.

With a slight movement, he instantly moved tens of meters, leaving shallow footprints on the ground.

He wondered if it was an illusion,

He suddenly felt as if he was in a glass world.

As if with a little force, everything around him would be easily destroyed.

So much so that he had to be extra careful, trying his best to control his strength.

The most powerful ability enhancement this time was Super Defense.

His current physical defense meant that even if the heaviest aircraft carrier fell from the sky, he would be unharmed!

Never mind whether he could lift it, he was incredibly tough!
