The castle of Alvonia was at the opposite side of the temple and it was a towering castle with white walls and blue stained windows. The castle was surrounded by four watch towers each crafted with white marble, facing the four cardinal points with guards blessed by the spirit of the wind with an attunement level ranging from medium to high.The gates beyond the watch towers are crafted by white marble and are guarded by four guards with high attunement to the spirit of the earth.
A child's giggle could be heard as pattering footsteps along with the sound of wheels ran through the grass field. Aiming her contraption to the watch tower facing the west, the child brought out kindled wood wrapped in cloth and put it at the base of the machine. With patience of a saint the child watched as the fire rekindled and her project which consisted of long malleable iron at its head and a rubber like material with high suction at its base was launched at the west tower. Quickly lying down flat in the field, the child hoped that the dark green pants and green shirt she was wearing would hide her in the grass this late at night. The child counted to thirty in her head and once she didn't hear any commotion, she ran to the base of the west tower and attached a metal hook to the floor. Glancing to see if any guard had come to her side of the tower, the child quickly tied the rope on the metal hook and once she was sure it was secure, the child began to climb.
In the middle of her climbing the young girl stopped and aimed at the base of the window on the west tower and launched another one of her plunger like devices. Climbing to the end of the rope of the first plunger-like device, the child caught the second rope and climbed just below the window sill. Giggling to herself the child took out a turtle she had handcrafted and placed it on the window sill. At first the two guards didn't notice it as they laughed and joked but two minutes later in the midst of laughing one guard suddenly stopped and stepped closer to the window.
"Where did this come from?" a male guard said picking up a turtle of obsidian colour.
The turtle was as large as the palm of the guards' with intricate designs all around it. Examining the turtle the guard turned it from side to side but the minute he pushed the button in the centre of the turtle by mistake, the turtle opened up its mouth and spat a sticky like substance into the eyes of the guard. Screaming the guard dropped the turtle and the turtle began to shoot the gel-like substance every which way. Quietly laughing at the guards screeching in terror the little girl didn't notice that the air around her had changed until she was lifted up into the air and brought through the open window of the watch tower.
Suspended in the air, the young girl watched as a female guard huffed and called for replacements. Once the replacements came the female guard who called for the replacements levitated herself, her colleague and the little girl to the entrance of the castle. Landing first, the female guard held on to her colleague and kept the little menace suspended in the air.
Walking into the castle, the two guards made their way to the king's study. Walking past the first floor, the castle guards and maids tried to hold in their laughter and hide their smiles. Approaching the king's study on the upper floors, the tower guards waited to be announced and the second they were allowed in the King looked up with a sigh.
"We have discussed this Lune." the king said while rubbing his forehead.
"I made you promise to stop terrorising the guards." the king said in a tired voice and the little girl pouted.
"You said the guards in the castle, not the tower guards." Lune said wittily but the King gave her an unimpressed stare.
Giving up on defending herself, Lune went straight to whining.
"But I was bored and I wanted to test out my new inventions." the princess said forcing a single tear to drop down her cheek.
Used to her antics and fake cries, the King gave her an unimpressed look.
"How did you even manage to get up there?" the King asked with a sigh.
With her eyes lighting up the little princess forgot she was in trouble and launched into the tale of how she singlehandedly climbed the west wall.
"I wore my camouflage outfit-" Lune said gesturing to her clothes.
"Created a mini cannon and used it to launch this-" the child said, showcasing her plunger-like device "Tied with a rope to the west wall and in order to secure the rope I used this-" Lune said showcasing her metal hooks " to secure the rope to the ground" the little girl said proudly.
Hearing this, the King momentarily forgot what Lune had done but with a quick glance across the room, the King faked a scowl.
"Still, what you did was very serious. What if your shenanigans coincide with an actual attack, what then?" the King said with slight disapproval.
"I am sorry." the young princess said with a pout.
Taking his eyes away from his daughter, the King properly looked at the guard in the room. The male guard had a thick gel like substance around his eyes and the female guard had the thick gell like substance all over her hair and clothes.
"Apologize to them." the King said whilst rubbing his face.
"I am sorry." the young girl said using her puppy dog eyes and the King shook his head with a small smile.
"Your pay will be increased by 10 gold coins this month." the King said before looking at his daughter "and please undo whatever you did to his eyes" the king said with a sigh.
The young princess nodded and the female guard who held her hostage, dropped her gently to the floor. Rustling through her tool belt, the young princess brought out a spray bottle filled with water and sprayed it on the guard's eyes.
In an instant the sticky like substance around his eyes dissolved and the male guard blinked his eyes dramatically.
"You are not to bother the tower guards anymore." The king said, staring Lune straight in the eyes.
"Yes father." the little Princess said with a pout and her eyes to the floor.
Nodding, The King dismissed the two tower guards and the little Princess.
As the tower guards began to head back to their post the little Princess ran and pulled the pant leg of the female guard.
Looking at the female guard curiously the little princess asked "Would the ten gold coins be enough to buy the medicine you were thinking of buying for your sick mom?"
